I've been posting on the W.I.S.H. challenge thread, not knowing this forum existed. Oh well.

I'll summarize:

November 30, 2005: bought a trek 1200 road bike. weight - 205 pounds.

since then: 2000 miles on the bike, eating about the same as ever.

November 10, 2006: weight - 184 pounds. down from 38" waist to about a 33" now.

Future: we'll see if I can keep it up. I'm a little surprised at how much extra insulation I've been packing. From the looks of things, I could stand to lose about 15-20 more. So my goal is another 10 pounds in the next 6 months and then re-evaluate to make sure I'm not going overboard.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have been a "runner" many times but it always makes me feel way older than I am so I can't keep it up. It just hurts. More power to those who can run without constant pain and nausea, but my body just won't let me. That's why I ride. It's about as pain free as exercise can be.
