Just wanted to double check what the going rate was for tipping housekeeping.

Thanks!

I do the $2 per person per day or $5 minimum.

I never let housekeeping in the room.

I think it matters how many people you have in the room to determine the tip. We don't do it by room/day, we do it by room/per person/per day. So, we would tip more if we had more people.

Is tipping housekeeping norma (or expected) in Florida or Orlando?
Is this a new practice?
It is not done much up here in the Northeast - hotels.

I've never heard of the per person/per day thing. I just tip $5 per day. Housekeeping loves to get a tip of any amount. I think of it as good karma.

$1.00 per person per day, which in our case is $5.00 a day.
