My DDs will be 6 and 10 on our next trip, one on the adult meal plan. Can they share DDs adult dinner at a TS restaurant? Both of them are very thin and don't eat a lot. I doubt they could even finish an adult meal between them. Will they let me do this or will I be forced to also use a child credit? I would rather save the child credits for lunch for them. The new dinners for kids don't look very good.

Yes they can share. You're only ordering one* (adult) entree, so you'll only be charged one (adult) TS credit for that meal.

*for the two girls, not counting any actual adults/adult meals.

I thought I had read on here once that some people were trying to share meals on the Dining Plan and the waiters in some of the restaurants told them they would still be charged for 2 meals regardless of what they ordered. We ate at mostly buffets last time, so I don't have experience with sharing ts meals.

That included WP Cafe, Le Cellier, Mama Melrose and 50's Prime Time. What we did was ordered 2 apps, 2 meals and 2 desserts for me and my 3 daughters. Obviously, that was more than enough food.

I can't tell you that this will definitely be the case, but I can tell you I was not expecting to be able to order this way based on all the "sharing" threads posted here in August. Using the DDP was far easier than I imagined.

Different guests have had different experiences trying to do this, so patrons should be prepared for either answer: Yes, and No.

Note that using one credit for dinner for an adult meal, and the other credit for lunch the next day, as you suggest, would be a violation of the Dining Plan rules, if the lunch is also an adult meal. For more information on that, please contact Disney Dining directly.

That's certainly the case at buffets and restaurants that serve "all you care to eat", basically every character meal. That's also the case at dinner shows and dinner packages including the Fantasmic Dinner Package.

I haven't read of any other cases where guests were required to use an extra credit for a guests sharing but the brochure language indicates that Disney can do just that for Signature Meals.

The rules state child entitlements aren't to be used to purchase adult meals. I wouldn't plan on being able to use the kids credits to purchase adult meals. I don't think the kids menu will provide enough food for sharing.

We have 2 adult children and 2 Disney children. We did share and had no problems. Some were more helpful than others, but some were very helpful and offered suggestions to help with the children.

You can not share at buffets and such, but otherwise sharing was not an problem.

We did tip extra when we shared to compensate for the situation.

As long as it's not a Buffet or all you care to eat TS (like Ohana), your two daughters can share 1 adult TS credit. (Actually my wife & I have shared an adult TS).

The left over credit could be used elsewhere (say for a character breakfast or lunch).

Have fun.
