As punishment, the Taliban should be forced to shop @ 6am at Walmart's Electronics department. I've just returned, safely, and let me tell you it's not pretty!

...Happy Black Friday shopping to all, and please try to be nice to the cashiers, etc. Hope you find great bargains!:D

Ha! If they had ever seen the average American shopping on the Day after Thanksgiving they would have never questioned our resolve to respond to an attack in the first place. ;-p

Always ;-)

Just back from Macy's and it was crazy. Hot, crowded, and so many limitations on the % off coupons, and free$10. besides. The rest of the mall was busy, but Macy's was ridiculous. They should have to shop there!!!!:D

This was the absolute worst Black Friday shopping experience EVER!!!!! Guess who is going to need atleast 3 years to recover? I told hubby to not even ask me about Black Friday until 2004. And I mean it!

My friend and I were at Toys R Us at 6:10 and there were already people coming OUT! The place was PACKED! It was amazing. I have to say though, no long lines - kudos to Toys R Us - and they had everything in stock that they said they would - or at least the stuff I was looking for!

A brave woman...Oh no!!!! I knew the crowds were bad, but I didn't realize I had a sex change during my early morning doorbuster shopping! I suddenly feel the need to go deer hunting.:D

You are very brave. I don't even like to go near a store at all on ANY weekend. I'm not big on crowds. I don't do Black Friday!:D

A new Walmart opened in north Jersey just a couple months ago. I'd never shopped in one before....I heard the tv ads and decided to get up early to shop on Black Friday. I can't even begin to tell you the shock I felt when I had to wait for a parking spot at 6:15 a.m.!!! I decided it just might be worth it, so I waited my turn to enter the store. WHOA! What a mad house it was! I did look around a bit, but NOTHING is worth that! It took me several minutes just to work my way thru the crowds back to the exit door - as I was leaving I said to a security policeman that he should ask for combat pay! He smiled....and agreed. Never again.

DH, who seems to LOVE going out in the middle of the night on the day after Thanksgiving  . said that the door had been broken down at Target by crazy shoppers! !
Me, I love to save, but I love my sleep more, AND I try to keep out of danger! :)

Yeah, I did the Walmart thing too to get a DVD player on sale. I went back yesterday (Sunday) and they had the same VCR's, DVD's. and TV's for the same "store buster" price. The lady in electronics said that their store had over bought ased on previous year's sales and had too many so they kept the price low. I also went to Target, what a pain! I'm not doing this again no matter how wonderful the sales look. It isn't worth the other people in a mad frenzy to try to get a $5 bucket of Legos that are normally $7!

Don't know if I should share but....

I went to WalMart and Super K on Thanksgiving (the WalMart SuperCenters were open). K Mart price matched everything (except the doorbusters but including the percent off sales) for Fridays circulars and so did WalMart. (hehehehehehe) WalMart did give me the early bird/special pricing on their own items tho.
