Michelle, the Sunday meet is at Disneyland. Wow, one Webmaster, one Technical Guru and one CB Goodwill Ambassador. This meet includes the DIS Royalty. :D

I'm hoping to go! I only met Dan for a split second at Epcot in Dec. If you're meeting early, I can make it. I have to catch a train for Albuquerque at 5:30 in Irvine.

I think that's our DCA day, so we won't be in the DL park, but I'll be sure to look for those lime green ribbons during our visit.

Hrumph. Shelly ... all these folks recommended that we go to DCA on Sunday. Since we can't park hop maybe they really don't want us to come to DL for the meet :eek:!

Actually, I had planned on following the advice and doing DCA on Sunday, but maybe I'll put it off until Monday and join the meet anyway <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="razz">. Put me down for now, I guess. I'd love to meet everyone.

Here's a suggestion. How about Downtown Disney in the evening for all the people going to DCA on Sunday? You can exit the park, get your handstamped, attend the meet, then everyone can go back the the park they were visiting.

Thanks for the suggestion! My plans are now to do DCA on Saturday and DL on Sunday. That way I'll be know if I want to return to DCA on Monday or not. Tuesday (my BD) will be spent at DL! :D

Disneyland DISmeet - what fun. The kids & I will probably be there by 8:30 (since it's only about a half hour from home), and will be at the bakery for a delish cinn bun to start our day.

Dan, what time are you planning on coming up? I think the park opens at 9am, but haven't checked the schedule yet.

Here are some options...
1)First thing in the morning~by the flagpole or bakery
2)11'ish or so ~ by Riverbelle Terrace, since we'll probably be doing Adventureland/Frontierland
3)1'ish or so ~ Plaza Inn (unless you have another choice)
4)Late afternoon for those of you who will be at DCA or just want to meet ~ Downtown Disney Restaurant

You can join us or meet us - your choice - we'd be happy for any and all meets. :D

Okay, just got back from WDW and saw this thread - wow! :) Daytime will work better for me, DH will be out of town that day so I'll be bringing the kidlet, which means I'll get to sit down for all of 20 minutes before she'll want to leave to do something else. :rolleyes: Just let me know the official daytime (at DL) meet spot and we'll do our best to be there! :)

My Family, DH David and DD Celia and I are interested in the early morning meet (as long as one of us can run for Indy Fast Passes) or the 11ish meet. In reality, we'll probably meet early, run off to do something, and then meet up again at 11:00ish :). We're doing DCA the day before while non-hopping is still in place.

Okay we're being impuslive but my DW and I are so stressed about moving into the house in 2 weeks we think we need a break... what better break than a trip to DL. So we're thiking on heading if we can make a few schedule changes. The weather is looking like scattered showers, for the locals how likely is this for Saturday?

Steve, that's GREAT, I hope you guys do come down so we can finally meet. :) We have been having nice weather but the forecast for Sunday is partly cloudy with a high of 70...the rain is supposed to be on Saturday, and just scattered showers. So it will be cool but not too bad.

We won't be there for breakfast but plan to be there later in the day. Hope to see any and all there! :)

We're planning on going down to San Diego on Saturday, and Disneyland on Sunday. I hope you can make either/both of these. :) Michelle is right; there is a slight chance of showers for Saturday, and just cloudy day on Sunday.

Michelle, when the day gets closer, let us know an estimate on time, and we'll make sure to be near a spot where we can visit. :)

Tia, Are you sure you can't move your vacay up? or better yet, stretch it out?

Yahoo!!! Sandi was able to get clear of her call-in shift at TDS and we landed a $40/night room at the Marriott, and after a good Finance Committee meeting I can happily say "We're going to Disneyland" After a big disappointment last weakened at Marine World we really are excited about this trip - then again Sandi and I like those last minute trips.

I know we'll be around Sunday AM, though I'm not sure what time we'll be heading out Sunday for home. We won't be doing DCA this trip since we haven't upgraded our passes at this time.

I'm looking forward to meeting some folks from here :)

Mary Jo, how long do you guys plan to hang at the River Belle Terrace after 11:00? Is lunch planned there? We should make it there by 11:30 at the latest if you guys will be eating there. My kidlet won't ride 95% of the rides at Disneyland so there is no point in us trying to tour with anyone, but we're happy to try and meet around lunchtime, just tell us where! :)

Michelle our kids are about the same, well they'll do the Dumbo type rides but we can't get our six year old to go on HM, POC, Splash or BTMRR easily. We'll have a 6 & 3 year old with us.

Well, we are driving down either tomorrow or Friday, a brief visit with the inlaws... and then on to Anaheim. We MAY have an extra child with us... we'll find out tomorrow. Then my husband and daughter are flying back Sunday night, the other kid(s) and I will drive back Sunday night/Monday morning. Whew! :eek:

We'll be at DL for the 2 morning meets. There will be me, my husband and our 20 month old daughter. I don't have a lime green ribbon, but our stroller has lime green on it :).

Our plane leaves in 4 hours and I'm not packed yet! Yikes! :eek: Gotta go!

Don't have lime green ribbons-yet anyway,but I am really hoping to meet up also.I don't post much ,but DH thinks I spend more time here and Cruise board(cruising April 2002)than with him,so I think it would be fun to see you guys-let DH meet his competition ha-ha.Our family,DS 11,DS 9,DD 2,DH,and myself,arrived at Grandma's house in LA last night and tomorrow (22nd) early AM we drive to Disneyland for 2 nights at GC.I will print the meeting times and places and probably do the 11:00 meet-I"ll go back and check this thread for options.Looks like tomorrow is going to be a wonderful Disney day :) :) :) :) :)

Okay, barring any unforseen problems, I plan on making it down to Disneyland for the morning and for at least lunch..... The afternoon I will have to "play by ear."

I am looking forward to seeing new friends and getting together with past DIS friends. Saying "old friends" didn't sound right.

Hi all - had a great time with Dan & Tink33 (and her family, Tim, Tyler, & Lily :) ) today in San Diego - it was so beautiful there, especially after the rains we had all night & this morning.

Now we're looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

I am in the office right now leaving to go down to Anaheim. I won't have my twirly. I don't plan on being there at night. After all, I am working today. I have to discharge someone from a hospital at 6 AM in Oxnard on my way down.

Just arrived back home, very long drive tonight. I-5 through LA and most the way home was a zoo. The meet was wonderful, great to have met everyone.

Just got home, and I second that by SteveH - it was a great meet, and we had so much fun today!

I'm off to bed now, and will write more tomorrow, when I have a chance.

I'd like to thank Lesley (Tink33), for putting this all together and making the coolest bead lanyard thingies with our names spelled out and lime green beads - they're great!!

What a great meet! I had a blast. I am so glad Dan got this whole DIS meet rolling! Thanks Dan and thanks for the Chicago Mickeys.
Also like to thank Tink for the neat lime green name bead thingys. I put mine in a safe place for the next meet!

The Disneyland meet was Fantasmic. I truly enjoyed meeting everyone and making some new DIS friends. I can't wait to see the pictures from the meet posted on the boards...well there is one picture I can wait to see :eek:

I want to thank those DISers who took time out of their vacation, those who drove many hours, and those who took time out of their day to make this meet a special one. My son summed it up on the way home when he said, "Mom, I didn't know that meeting people you chatted with on the DIS could be SO much fun."

We had a great time, and of course it was wonderful to see old friends again. It was lovely to meet everyone who we hadn't met before, and I wish I had more time to talk to a few who were only there for lunch. (5-to-plan-for and Disney Anna -- next time!) This time my dear Bob had a better chance to get to know more DISers, and that is a great thing. :) I didn't have the good sense to write down all the names of the spouses and children, I hope someone else did.

We got home about 1:30AM, a relatively uneventful ride...

And 8 purple circles.... :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D ! What an excellent trip

I had to pull over at a rest stop around San Clemente to get about 30 or so minutes of sleep, as I was dozing. :eek: I got to my hotel about 1 AM and checked in in the middle of the morning. :rolleyes:

The day with all of you was really great. I do have so much fun with you guys. :D Thanks for all you guys did to make this the success it was. I will be getting pics up soon. :)

Checking in from Albuquerque!! :rolleyes: We had a great time with everyone Sun. morning! We're just bummed we had to leave so early. The train was running soooo late picking us up, to come out here, I kept saying we could have stayed and had fun at DL with the DISer's! :D Oh well, hopefully we'll get the chance again soon!! Dan, thanks for "Chicago Mickey"! Tink33, ditto for the cute lanyard! They both came with me to New Mexico. Larry-poppins, Mary Jo, Lion King, Teri etc....(so many :) ) It's fun to be able to put faces to these names. I can't wait for the next time!
