What is the song, or ride music, or background music - that gets you every time and really just means "Disney" to you!?

For me it's the SpectroMagic parade music!

Every time I hear that on Live365 or for a moment on a WDW tv show, I get all Disney-mushy and very nostalgic. :rolleyes:

So what does it for you?!

I LOVE spectro magic too ( you can watch the whole thing on spectromagic.com) a close second is the jammin' jungle parade song---Rhythm of one! :yay:

So This Is Love

On our trip when I was 14 I really loved this music box that had Cinderella and Prince Charming dancing on the front. When you opened it, it played So This Is Love. At that point I did not have enough souvie money to buy it. My parents bought it without my knowing and suprised me with it. I loved it! Now it is in my daughter's room. That song just makes me think DISNEY!

Hmmm . . . my username is Wishes . . . I'd have to say the music and words in the Wishes fireworks show gets me everytime! I love it when Peter Pan says "I wish we never had to grow up!" I tear up every time I hear that song!

Ah, thats a good one. At our sons wedding they played the Brogue from the original Electric parade as they came down the aisle, tear jerker. To top that our daughter played at her reception, bride and groom dance, We'll Go On, from EPCOT Illuminations. Loved that song from the first time I heard it and after the wedding, it holds a special place in my heart, a Dad giving his daughter away to that song. Two songs I'll never forget that hold so many memories and continue to build each time we vacation at Disney.

Definitely the AK park music from Tree of Life. You can dowload it here from a thread in Theme Park & Attraction Strategies - called something like "Anyone want to download park music?" It's 43 minutes long & I have it playing on my computer in a continuous loop. Very relaxing & when I close my eyes I'm right there in AK.

Yo Ho Pirates Life For Me runs a close 2nd though!

After reading and replying to this thread yesterday, I put on one of my Disney music CD's. And I forgot about this song. Still doesn't top "When you Wish Upon a Star" for me, but it is pretty darn close. I guess for me, any song that tells about the power of wishes and dreams gets to me. If nobody dreamed big, this would be a pretty dark world.

When it comes to remembering WDW... put me in for a vote for the Spectromagic Parade... it was the last thing we saw before the end of our trip last time and I haven't stopped listening to the music since (just ask DW... she runs to the other room and slams the door shut everytime I put it on :lmao: )

One of my favorites is the electrical parade theme.

Others are It's a small world and the Tiki room theme.. (original theme)
We have taught our parrot to sing both of these songs and named him
Sherman after the sherman brothers... he also likes "I love to Laugh"
and Zipadee doo da :)

I would say the Fantasmic! sountrack from Disneyland. We all love that show. When we play it at home we each have our parts to act out and make it a family night "show". So much fun keeping all the Disney memories alive in between trips.

I agree! I had it on a CD and loved it, but had never heard it in the parks. The next time we went, I heard it on the Character Bus. I was very excited by this :teeth:

I also love Golden Dream from American Adventure. That gets me every time. Music starts ... cue tears.
Oh, and the Imagination Institution music, that's also in the Epcot entrance loop.

I was so sure I was going to be the only one to mention "It's A Small World"! It was my favorite ride before I even got to Disney! It has always, since my childhood, stood for Disney somehow. I also like the "classic" big dreamer songs like "A Dream Is Wish Your Heart Makes", "When You Wish Upon A Star" and "Second Star To the Right".

Fantasmic. I used to have it as my ring on my cell phone, but I can't seem to get it on my new phone.

But also, not WDW, but I'll be your candle on the water from Pete's Dragon. DS used to sing that to me when he was little. (he's 15 now, he'd kill me if he knew I told you, so.......shhhh)

I love the music to all the parades, it just reminds me of sitting in the sun watching my kids with amazing expressions on their faces when the characters come over to them or wave at them! Pure happiness! :cloud9:

That has to be my favourite too! I heard it at DLP 7 years ago and found it when searching for parades on You Tube the other night - I didn;t know it was used at WDW! cool.

Also has to be "its a small world"

There are so many choices!! When we first get to the MK, and we're on Main Street, I always hear "I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A." My kids loved that Disney sing-a-long video when they were little. "When you wish Upon A Star" has to sum up all the Magic of Disney, for me. This time next week we'll be getting ready for our trip. I just may cry when I hear that song!!!! I can't wait!!!! :cool1: :banana: :disrocks:

OK the music that lets me know I am AT Disney...the Main Street Electrical parade (even though no longer there, I heard it at DisneyLand's fireworks and it took me back), The wishes music, the song in line at Splash Mountain "how do you do, really glad to meet ya"...and finally the version of Clemintine at the Hoop Dee Doo.

When not at Disny I am a big fan of "kiss the girl"

I can't decide on just one! My favorites are Sing Sweet Nightingale (Cinderella), Be Prepared (The Lion King) and the Fantasmic Preshow (Perfect World) music at MGM Studios! I haven't been to WDW tho, so I'm sure I'll add to this list. I would also list So This Is Love (Cinderella), but that's going to be my twin's wedding song, so it's taken - shucks!

BTW, I would LOVE it if someone could tell me how I can get blessed and frosted. I love those smilies!

I think "A Whole New World" is a new sentimental song for me. My DH has been going to WDW for years since he was a kid. I had never been to WDW until our hunnymoon this past October. Before we went I heard this song and realized it was just like Aladdin and Jasmine. My husband was sharing WDW with me for the first time. Each line is perfect, it makes me cry to listen to it now.

I went through every post and thought, "wow, no one has the same song as me!" Until I got to you, WeirdTigger27!

I used to sing "A Whole New World" rocking in the rocking chair, to my DD and DS when they were babies. We have the Disney Princess Lullaby CD (TOTAL recommend this CD to ANYONE who is a sentimental Disney freak). It makes me teary every time I hear that version... we'll be sitting at the dinner table and it comes on... and I cry.

In the car, I have the Aladdin and Jasmine version on CD. My kids split and sing the parts. I just love it!

I can't help but think that I will be SHOWING MY KIDS THE WORLD in 15 days!! And they don't even know it, yet! My DH downloaded my "Whole New World" lullaby into the IPOD for me to listen to on the plane...I am going to be a mess!

Tons of it do that for me, but I especially love hearing the Spaceship Earth top-of-the-ride music for some reason. I just instantly feel like I'm in that ride and going backwards, just without some voice in my ear saying, "Your ride car is moving backwards. Please stay in your vehicle" or whatever they say. :)

When You Wish Upon A Star and A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes - reminds me of Disney magic in general.

I am REALLY going to try to get a shot of their faces at first sight! There was a thread of children's faces experiencing Disney World. It was a great thread. I'm a sap anyhow, and hormonal lately, but those pictures really got to me! My DH plans to get the kids on video while they find out about their trip. That should be great, too.

The music played during "Wishes" and "Fantasmic" make me really happy and make me cry.

My favorites songs are "When You Wish Upon A Star", "So This Is Love", and "Once Upon A Dream" are my top three Disney songs. I :love: Disney love songs. They're always amazing :)
