I've heard Disney' banning fast-food, or replacing it with healthy food, but is this also affecting DLRP? I remember last time in DLRP there was this great tasting burger, the Magic Cheeseburger or something, and I hope it still is there next time I go to DLRP...

Yes Disney are taking account of consumer demand and the whole healthly eating agenda by offering a healthy option. I doubt we'll see the burgers disappear, just that parents will have a chance to also find alternative choices.

Hopefully DLP will introduce these options also :goodvibes

Well, it's very unlikely I'll ever eat that burger again, because we(Me, my brother and our parents) don't eat much fast-food in DLRP anyway...But I don't mind replacing my fires with a salad or something. As long as we go to DLRP next year, everything will be fine.

From what I read in the press releases about this, it only appears that Disney are ceasing the 'endorsements' of fast/junk food. The examples given were that there will be no more association with McDonalds giving Disney toys in Happy Meals or putting their name to other thinkgs like pasta shapes & biscuits etc.

I wouldn't have thought that it would affect what is on offer at the restaurants in DLRP (fingers crossed anyhow :D)

No more McDonalds toys..Well, I've never had a toy at the McDonalds anyway, my niece always eat there, and I get her Disney figures if they are some, I rarely eat at the McDonalds..

WDW have also adopted a healthier eating plan in addition to the ceasing ties with MacDonalds. I hope DLRP do the same. I like the adult meals at DLRP but most (not all) of the kids menus' are pretty poor.

Having looked at the new WDW childrens menus I am glad my children are too old for them.

That's why we tend to plump for buffets at both DLRP and WDW - children get not only a healthier but more varied choice. :)
