I will begin by saying that this was the 8th Disney cruise for Hubby (Rick) and Me (Teri). I want to also add that this was the BEST cruise for us so far!! Mainly because of the wonderful people we met here on the "Dis" boards.

Pre-cruise- We stayed at the Radisson in the whirlpool suite. We really enjoy staying here before the cruise. WE went to Jetty Park Thursday afternoon to watch the Wonder leave.

Friday - we met (ArmandXG) Shaughn & James and (my3m) Anna poolside.

Saturday- We parked our car at the Radisson and were on the first shuttle to the Magic. The service was very good and we were at the Disney terminal within minutes. As soon as we got of the bus I heard my name being called and was greeted by two very charming men. Bob (Goofydrivesacar) and Chris ( AWOLTODAY) We all talked for a few minutes and we made our way across the street to the terminal. We were given boarding pass # 2. We checked in and made our way across the terminal to take pictures and await boarding.

a few minutes later I heard my name being screamed, and met Deanna (Buckifan)We hugged and talked excitedly for several minutes. Then we started meeting lots of "Dis" er's. Chris (AWOLTODAY),and his wife Teena (Choc Marg), Bob (Goofydrivesacar).and his wife Katie (Larue), Heather(Princessh) and her Husband Tim, Dave (Xlt800) and his wife Fran, Sherry (sjcubefofct) and her husband Scott, Melissa (Gocar24), and Kristin (Kritter)

11:45 we started boarding, They let wheelchair guest and Concierge level Guest board first. A few minuted later they called us boarding pass # 2. We had our pictures taken and entered the Atrium as the welcomed "Rick and Teri for their 8th time."

We went up to Topsiders and had a bite to eat. Then we went to our room and put our magnetic signs on out door, Then it was off to our "Dis" Meet in the Promenade Lounge. WE met up with the same people we had met in the terminal as well as many others who had just come aboard like Landee(wndrnmite) and her girls. We took a group picture and talked until it was time for the lifeboat drill.

The lifeboat drill went pretty smoothly. It would have been a lot quicker is everyone would show up ON TIME!!!! we had several stragglers but were done in a matter of 20 minutes.

Now on with the sail away party!!! It is always fun when you are the ones sailing away and several hundred people are waving at you along the way. We felt like Royalty waving at all of the people, who were wishing they were the ones on the Disney Magic. We stayed on deck 10 until we were safetly out to sea. We went back to our room and all of our lugguage had arrived. We dressed for dinner and started our rotation at table 36 in Lumiere's. Our servers were Jose and Abraham. Our Table mates were Barbara and her Cousin Teresa from Vermont. We had a fabulous Dinner and decided to go the the "Welcome Aboard Show" The show was awesome and we were tired but decided to hit the pool and Jacuzzi before bedtime. The pool was very warm and soothing. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

I will continue with day 2 tomorrow.

Day 2-At Sea

I woke up to my first full day on the Magic. I skipped breakfast as I was having Brunch at Palo's at 10:30. Deanna, met me at my room 5009 at 10:15. We were greeted by our server Corinna, who showed us around the different food areas at Palo's. We had delicious appetizers Salmon mousse, caviar, crab legs, olives, foccacia bread, and asst. breads and salads. Next came the pizza fresh out of the oven, It was delicious! Corinna then took our hot food order. I had chicken Marsala which was very good. The desserts were the best. We tried several and loved every one. Heather and her husband Tim were also having Brunch at Palo's, so we stopped and chatted with them for a few minutes. Brunch was a perfect start to a perfect day.

I met back up with my Husband Rick and we decided to look around in the shops and to just expore the Ship and take pictures. It was raining outside so we decided a nap was just what was needed. One of the best things about an inside cabin is it is dark even during the day. We both sleeped like babies.

We had dinner at Animator's Palate and had a wonderful Dinner. (AWOLTODAY) Chris and his Family and (Goofydrivesacar) Bob and his Family were seated a few tables away so I had a chance to chat with them for a while. They are such friendly and funny people to talk to. I was so glad to see them close by each night. After dinner Rick and I decided to skip the show and go for a swim. The pools were closed because of the thunderstorms earlier. We still had lightning in the distance. We decided to sit out on deck 10 and watch the sky light up. It was a beautiful sight.

We both returned to our cabin around midnight, where we were lulled to sleep by the ocean waves.

We stayed at the Radisson at the Port. We had a King Whirlpool Suite. It cost $161.00 per night. Yes, we were able to leave our car parked there for FREE!! They also provided a FREE shuttle to and from the Terminal. We did tip them for their service.

day 3 - At Sea Happy Birthday to Me :bday:

Rick and I woke up at 5:00 a.m. eager to start our day. We went up on deck 10 and watched the sun rise, what a beautiful site it was. :sunny: We then went to Topsiders for breakfast. I had a fresh made to order omelett which was very good.

I decided to go to the Art Of Entertaining Class in Studio Seas. The Pastry Chef Mustapha Khetem, from MGM Studios was the Guest Chef. He made an awesome Flourless Chocolate cake with Chocolate Ganache and Port Wine Chocolate sauce. He chose Scott, Sherry's Husband (sjcubedofct) to be his helper. They both made a great team!!! We all got to sample this fabulous dessert. We also got to sample some port wine which is alway's a great start to any day. :)

Rick and I received our invitation to attend the Castaway Clubhouse for returning guest. They had ample snacks and beverages. My favortite was the Mickey Rice Krispy snack in the shape of Mouse ears dipped in chocolate,YUM!! :mickeybar We all did some Disney trivia and got involved in meeting our fellow return cruiser's. We sat near Sherry and Scott(sjcubedofct) and had a great time talking with them. Heather (Princessh) sat with us for a while before she had to leave to get her kids ready for the Dis Trick ot treating. They were giving away Castaway Club Clocks and we all put our name in a box for a drawing. I think they gave away 8 clocks. They called my name on the 7th drawing. Hurray!!!!! I won!!!

Rick and I went to the Atrium Lobby to meet up with all of the "Dis" Trick Or Treater's. While we were waiting I saw Ginger ( who I cruised with Halloween 2004) I went over to hug her and we chatted for a while. She asked me to come to her room to say hi to Bill (hubby) and Ashley (daughter) After a mini reunion I left to attend the Trick Or Treating Meeting which was in full swing when I got back. All of the Kids were in their costumes looking cute as can be. We went back to or room to pass out candy. We had 8 groups of Trick or Treater's 38 kids total. It was all the more special when several group's of the kid's sang Happy Birthday to me. Thanks everyone for a special Birthday moment. Deanna (Bukifan) Gave me a great Disney Cruise Line Frame. Thanks!!! Deanna. I have the frame sitting in my living room with my Pirate night photo of Rick and I with Mickey.

I had reservations for Afternoon Tea at Palo's for 3:00. Melissa (gocar24) was my guest. We had a very nice conversation and enjoyed the finger sandwiches, warm scones with jam and fresh whipped cream, the wonderful Harmony tea and the delicious asst. desserts. Thanks Melissa for joining me. It was truly a pleasure meeting you.

Rick and I decided to watch all of the Ships Trick or Treaters make their candy rounds from deck 5. (Halloween was celebrated on the 30th due to Pirate's night taking place on the 31st while we were in St. Martin's.) It was amazing to see all of the wonderful costumes. We especially like the "Loose Box Of Crayola Crayon's" They were adorable and won for best costume in their catagory.

We had Dinner in Parrot Cay and Rick and I wore our Pirate Costume's pirate: to dinner. We had a fabulous meal and Our waiter's Jose and Abraham, as well as our Maitre D', John brought me out a beautiful cake :cake: and sang Happy Birthday to me. Chris (AWOLTODAY), Tenna (Choc Marg), Bob (Goofydrivesacar), Katie (Larue), and their children all joined in. I was also surprised by a lovely gift ( Capt. Mickey which holds a photo) from their Children Samantha, Cody, Elizabeth, and Natalie. What a special day this was for me!! Thank You all so much :thanks:.

The show tonight was Twice Charmed, a new Cinderella version. It was FABULOUS!!! We were seated behind Landee (Wndrmite) and her Brother and Sister In Law. Rick and Landee's brother kept making Pirate Noises and were cracking me up.

WE attended the Halloween Dance Spooktacular party: and were amazed by the costumes. We saw Sonny and Cher, Austin Powers, Cave man and Cavewoman, Little Red Riding Hood and Grandmom/Wolf, The Mouseketeer's, Loose Box Of Crayon's Asst. Pirate's, Mrs. Pott's, Prince Charming, Sleeping Beauty, Minnie Mouse, and sooo many more great costumes. Rick was tired and went to bed but I continued dancing the night away. :cool1:

Around 1:00 a.m. I finally plopped into the bed and didn't move!!! What a great Birthday this has been THE BEST!!!!!!!

Day 4 St. Maarten

We woke up early again this Morning and went up to Topsider's for Breakfast. I had a fresh made to order omelette again, this is the way to go, and they bring it to your table.

We watched as we were docking and are still amazed at how smooth it is.WE decided to go to our room and get ready for our shore excursion. Rick and I normally book independently or wait until we get to our destination to choose what we are going to do. We decided to book the "Under Two Flags Island Tour" since Deanna (Buckifan) and her Family were doing this tour. We all met in the Rockin' Bar D and procceded off the Ship where there were multiple buses awaiting. It started pouring rain and we were soaked by the time we got on the bus. WE were the last group on the bus and were seated in the very last seats which were higher than everyone elses seats. We were very happy with our seats as we were able to sit 5 of us together. Just as we were pulling out we had a problem with the speaker and had to change buses. We were the last to board the second bus and were upset because a family of 4 decided to take our seats. :furious: We got over the situation pretty quick but thought this was just plain RUDE!! Anyway, We saw lots of beautiful sights and stopped in Marigot on the french side to shop. The bus driver told everyone to keep their same seats when they returned. Oh well, I guess we were stuck were we were. Marigot is a very pretty shopping area with a mall, and open air market. I found some beautiful sterling silver jewelry that I purchased. The only problem is the vendor ripped me off by $10.00. I really had no recourse beacause she handed me my change out of a $100.00 and walked away. I looked in my bag to make sure I had added correctly, but she had taken the price stickers off. Lesson learned. Make sure you give smaller bills or exact change, and count your $$$ before the vendor walks away. I really love my jewelry and still feel I got a reasonable deal. The sun :sunny: came out and the rest of the day was hot and sunny. Rick and I went back to the Ship for Lunch and rested for about an hour. We took a water taxi $5.00 for unlimited use over to the shopping areas. We decided to go in a few of the Casino's and play a few slot machine's. I lost around $60.00 and Rick won around $100.00. We had fun and enjoyed our day at St. Marteen.

Dinner tonight was in Lumier's. it was pirate: Pirate night and we were given Pirate bandanas and a menu rolled up like a map. The menu was delicious and I ordered the Black Beards Jumbo Crab Cakes as my appetizer, Delicious. I had the Jerk Chicken salad, and for my Entree' Treasure's Of The Seas Grilled Shrimp And Seared Scallops. We enjoyed talking with our Tablemates Barbara and Teresa about our day in St. Maarteen. Chris (AWOLTODAY) stopped by our table to invite Rick and I to join them in Bob (Goofydrivesacar) and
Katie's (Larue) Suite after Dinner. We arrived at their suite and were amazed that they actually have a doorbell. The suite was beautiful and very spacious. They had a walk-in closet and huge living room. It was nice to see how the other half live. :rotfl2: Bob, brought his magic Bullet with him and doubled as Bartender. He mixed everyone up margarita's and we all talked and got to know each other even better. Deanna (Bukifan) and her Husband Rob (Hang On Sloopy) Joined us after the show. as well as Dave (XLT800) and his Wife Fran. We all then procceded tp the " Pirate's Of The Caribbean Party". pirate:

The Party was in full swing when we arrived. We all went to the dance floor and shook our booties. It was a great party full of Pirates and Wenches. The Jumbotron was playing and they were scanning the audience to be seen on the screen. Pirate Mickey made a special Entrance!!( I won't tell you how but it was a showstopper. The fireworks were really pretty and we all oohed and aahed. We skipped the Pirate Bufett and plopped into bed around midnight.

Day 5- St. Thomas

Rick and I woke up early again today as we had to go through immigrations. Our floor, Deck 5 was to meet in the Walt Disney Theater between 7:00 - 7:15. Topsiders opened earlier today so Rick and I had breakfast and headed to the Theater. Before you go in there is a Cast Member who checks you off of a list by room # and how many in the room. You are seated as to how you come in the theater. We waited maybe 15 minutes and our row was called. We had to show our passports or a photo I.D. We then had our hand stamped with invisible ink that they check under special lights before you leave the ship in St. Thomas.

We had booked an independent tour through Godfrey's Tours before we left home. We were pleased that Heather (Princessh) and her Husband (Tim), Her Boy's Timmy, and Jacob and her Dad (Bob) and Stepmom (Helen) were also booked for this tour.

Godfrey picks you up at the ship and takes you downtown to shop for a few hours, then he takes you to Mountain Top, where you have a gorgeous view of Magen's Bay. This was about a 15 minute stop and we had time to purchase souvenir's and purchase a banana Daquiri. Back on the open air truck and holding on for dear life :scared: ,We had many sharp turns up and around the mountain ,where it was a contest to see who was going to give in to the right of way. I thought it was kinda fun, but am amazed at the sharp turns ,and tiny small one way lanes. Rick told me "I can never complain about his driving again".

We got to see Coki Beach, Magen's Bay, and were able to stop for a little while and walk around Sapphire Beach. This was my favorite Beach!! It was beautiful and not too crowded. We had a choice of staying at one of the beaches for 2 hours before being picked up and returned to our ship, or returning to our Ship. It was now 2:00 and we had to be back onboard by 4:30 so we decided to return to the ship.

Here is where things go sour. We were kept waiting in the heat for about 15 minutes for Godfrey's 2nd tour truck to meet up with us. There were two people who opted to go back to the Ship and they decided to transfer them to our Truck. Not a big problem except the Woman had to go to the restroom, so we had to wait another 20 minutes (She was in a wheelchair which was no easy task to push in the sand) for them to get back. I am in no way blaming her. When you've gotta go, you gotta go. I just don't think it was fair to make us wait when they could have taken her back in the same truck she came in. So finally, we are on our way. We didn't get to see a few of the stops we were suppose to see as we were running 45 minutes behind. So we were dropped off at Havensight Mall to do some last minute shopping.

Final thoughts on Godrey's Tour. Yes, I would book with him again. His price was only $25.00 per person. I just wish we were able to see everything we had paid for like Drayton' seat and Blackbeard Castle. I would have liked to have been told that we could stay at Sapphire Beach a little longer enjoying the breeze and view instead of sitting in the parking lot in the heat waiting and waiting and waiting!!! Anyway. no worries :) We still had a good time.

Rick and went back on board and had a bite to eat. Goofy's Galley ( Outside of Topsider's) has great salads and pannini Sandwiches as well as wraps. They were really delicious.

We went back to get ready for Dinner. Rick decided not to join me tonight as he was tired from the tour and heat. I went alone and had a nice time with my Tablemate's Barbara and Teresa. I met up with Rick on deck 9 and we decided to call it a night.

Day 6 - At Sea :boat:
Rick and I started our day before sunrise again. We ate at Topsider's as usual. I am hooked on the omelette's. I want to also add that I had a pastry from Goofy's Galley before Topsider's opened, and they were delicious. They were fresh and still warm. :goodvibes

I decided to hang out at the Adult pool for a little while and ended up taking a much needed nap in the lounge chair. I met up with Deanna (Buckifan), Rob (Hang on Sloopy), Bob (Goofydrivesacar), Katie (Larue), Chris (AWOLTODAY), and Tenna (Choc Marg) We watched the kids swimming in the Goofy pool and sat around talking.

I went to Topsider's alone for lunch and had a delicious salad that I added shrimp and scallops to.The thing that is great on The Disney Magic is I never felt out of place or odd eating by myself. It was nice just watching all of the different people around me.

I met up with Ginger at the Adult pool. We sat in the jacuzzi and chatted for a while. A Cast Member Announced that Pool games were starting, I reluctantly let Ginger talk me in to participating. We had 8 Men against 8 Women. The CM threw 8 blue coins (Men) and 8 red coins (Women) in the same area of the pool. The object was to dive under the water and retrieve the most coins. I am an excellent swimmer, so I was thinking , No problem. WRONG!!!! I got kicked in the head and shoved from every direction. I still brought up 4 red coins. Just as I was diving down again I got head butted and started bleeding. :headache: My head was throbbing and everyone was staring at me. I was soooo embarrased  They brought me over some band-aids and continued the game. We LOST!!!! Oh well, I didn't need a medal on a ribbon anyway. Lesson: This was an accident waiting to happen, and it did, Too many people going underwater at the same time.

It was time to get ready for Dinner so Rick and I spruced up for a Semi-Formal evening. Tonight I had Lobster and a side of past with chicken. Everything was delicious.

We were invited to the SUITE :woohoo: again, and Bob once again played Bartender. We had a great time and were joined by Deanna and Rob. Rick and I made plans to join all of them and their Families on Castaway Cay Tomorrow.

Katie, Tenna, Deanna, Rick, and I decided tp go th the Adult show featuring Taylor Mason. The show was funny :rotfl: and lasted about 25 minutes. 70's Night followed so we stayed and watched as everyone Boogied Down. :hippie: They Picked 3 ladies to impersonate Gloria Gaynor singing "I Will Survive. They have done this on every cruise ship I have sailed on ( Disney, Carnival. Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Celebrity) It is basically the same routine, but is is still funny each time. They Picked 3 Men to Impersonate John Travolta in "Saturday Night Fever." and last but not least they brought out "The Village People."

Back to room 5009 to plop into bed.

Day-7 Castaway Cay :beach:

It was the best of day's. It was the worst of day's. Best, because Castaway Cay is awesome :) !! Worst, because this is the last day of the cruise :sad1:

Rick and I started our day in Topsider's for the last time. Then we went to watch the Ship as we were docking at Castaway Cay. Once you finally get a view of Castaway Cay, you know you have found Nirvana. :flower1:

Rick and I were lined up behind the rope on deck 2 separating us from our perfect spot, along with about 50 :crowded: other hopefuls. As soon as the rope came down we were off! About 20 minute's later, and a mile hike, we had found the Perfect spot :teeth: Ok, we hadn't. Bob, (Goofydrivesacar) and Chris, (AWOLTODAY) told us where to meet them. Great job Guy's. :thumbsup2 It was overcast and was sprinkling a little, but we still had a great day. I had a great time talking with Tenna (Choc Marg), Katie (Larue), and Deanna (Buckifan). The water was a little cool, but felt great.

Did I mention the Konk Kooler's ? :drinking1 They were fabulous! I had to have a few even though it wasn't even noon yet, but hey, this is vacation.

Us Girl's all went to Cookie's BBQ to get some lunch to bring back to the beach. There was bbq ribs, corn on the cob, grilled chicken, hamburger's. hotdogs, coleslaw, 3 bean salad, potato salad, baked beans, fruit, Banana bread cookies, and some other foods to choose from. Everything I choose was good.

Rick decided to go back to the Ship, but I decided to stay at the beach for a while longer. I played in the water for a while and had one more Konk Kooler before heading back. I decided to skip the tram and walk so that I could take some picture's and enjoy the Island for a few more moments.

The Dinner menu tonight was "Till We Meet Again." The food was good and the company even better. The last night to me is alway's a weepy time. You are saying goodbye  to Tablemate's who have become FRIENDS! You are thanking (tipping) your Waiter's for a job well done. :thanks: and worst of all, You still have to PACK! :crazy2:

The show tonight was "Remember The Magic". Once again the tears start to flow. Deanna and Rob were seated in front of us, so we say our goodbye's. We go back to our room to put our suitcases in the hall. We check to make sure we have our declaration form filled out, and our passports ready, and we call it a night.

MIDNIGHT!! I wake up to the clanging of hanger's and the safe door opening and shutting. I try to walk to the bathroom, and realize I can't stand up. :tilt: We are in ROUGH seas. :scared: I turn on the t.v. to find we have gale force winds and 13 ft. waves. I wake Rick up to see if he feels the waves as bad as I do. I guess he is fine because he falls back asleep. After several sleepless hours I finally give in to sleep.

Day 4 St. Maarten

We woke up early again this Morning and went up to Topsider's for Breakfast. I had a fresh made to order omelette again, this is the way to go, and they bring it to your table.

Loved the breakfast buffet! Was making the kids some dinner the other night, one of those whatever you want deals. They chose eggs, bacon, bagels, etc. I suddenly realized I was missing the made to order omelette, 20lbs of bacon, hash browns, fresh fruit, sausage, OJ, waffles. Every day. Beats the heck out of a breakfast bar and pop as I run off to work. I know some people don't like the buffets. But man I could stay at that breakfast buffet all day. I think I need to get out a little more.

Rob,
I know what you mean. I miss having all my meals cooked!!! I LOVED having my omelette everyday. It is back to reality here and Weight Watcher's here. :teeth:

Debarkation- Better known as

We woke up to the stillness of the Ship and the realization that Our Magical cruise was over. We got our carry-ons and went to deck 4 to watch as all of the lugguage was being taken off. Around 7:45 we saw People leaving the Ship. They had not announced the all-clear yet, but we decided to see if we could leave. Imagine our suprise when there was NO LINE to get off. WE walked right off, collected our lugguage, got a Porter, and were through Customs and in the parking lot a few minutes before 8:00.

We had left our car at the Radisson (Free parking) and were happy to see the Radisson shuttle pulling up just as we were tipping out Porter. We were back at the Radisson and on our way home in 10 minutes.

We had a peaceful drive home and recounted our cruise all the way home to South Carolina.

We just got back last Saturday, 11.11.06. We spent another week in Disneyworld & Universal. We were exhausted but had a great time.

It was nice meeting you. We did not rebook onboard but planning to go either July or December 2008. Have to wait.
