If you're eating at a TS on the DDP do you have to wait for your check before you leave if you haven't ordered anything that's not on the plan? I thought I read somewhere they ask for your card at the beginning of the meal. What about at buffet restaurants? This just seems like it would save a lot of time at the end of the meal if we could just finish & leave.

Nope, you'll still have to wait for your check just like if you were paying cash or credit. They will bring out a check for you with prices listed and then you hand them your card and they will process it and bring back a copy for you to sign and one for you to keep. This also applies to buffets. Sometime they will ask to see your card at the beginning to see how many adults and children are listed but they won't run the card at that time.

I found that when I was there in September (a solo trip), the waiter would usually ask for my card at the time I ordered by desert. That way the card was rang and back before I was finished with desert. Never had to wait for the bill.

We just got back last night and in all instances we got the bill at the end of the meal (just as if we were not on the plan). We just gave our card and waited until they brought out the receipt for us to sign. They never asked for the cards during any of the meals - only after.

We were never asked for our card in August. It was always after we were done with our meal.
