We're home from a very wet Irish Fest. Rain, rain, rain the whole way home. Hopefully next weekend will be better as we have very special guests coming in. :)

Never played Euchre but I'd love to learn.

Anyone here play Spades? :scratchin

OK we will have a Euchre Meet on a sea day if everyone is in agreement. Does anyone suggest a day? My husband and I will teach those who have never played before and want to learn to do so before the meet.

As far as spades yes we do play spades. Does anyone want to have a spades meet as well on a sea day? If so which one?

I can remember playing harts in the Navy. I think spades and euchre is along the same idea. had one of those I hate it when that happens situations about 1/4 of the way through grilling chicken and I run out of propane

We need that rain down here in Georgia!! Everything (grass, flowers, trees, etc) is dying b/c we have not had hardly any rain for months now. Plus it would be nice to have some cooler temps down here.

Off to walk the doggies then to work!

never even heard of Euchre but would love to learn!

Today is my last day of summer break! :sad1: I am going back to work tomorrow. Had a mani/pedi today, my hair done and I am going to go out shopping in a bit for some new clothes. I dread going back because it will be SO busy...with enrollments, etc. School starts next Wednesday (29th) so we'll be very busy until then! I really shouldn't complain though, I have the best job...who else gets the whole summer off? Of course, the downside is no paycheck, I am looking forward to getting paid again!

It's rained most of the day here today. Thanks to Erin. But that didn't stop us from trying out our new Sonic here in town (Mary, it's right near Wal*mart and Bob Evans) They have some speed bumps to work out as does any new place that is slammed with a crowd. But all in all it was good. :)

The only time I (dh hates fast food) go to Sonic is when I'm craving tater tots or slushes!!! The only fast food we eat regularly is Chick-fil-a. It's a staple food group here and the only fast food adam will eat. Now i'm hungry and the lasagna still has 20 minutes.

Good morning everyone - happy Tuesday!

So sad to see the destruction Dean is causing. Especially with memories of some of those places. Everyone is focusing on how it might be missing Cancun and Cozumel now but that means it is hitting Costa Maya. While it wasn't one of our more popular ports it is a shame to see think of that little port area getting pounded by this storm.

A morning UTOP!

back to work for me today!

Praying for all that are in Dean's path! It's sad, because most of the Caribbean islands are pretty poor and their buildings are just not meant to withstand hurricanes, so they pretty much get wiped out. :(

That's because it's gone over the land of the Yucatan Peninsula. It's going to go back over water in the Bay of Campeche and gain strength again, most likely (they say it'll have about 15-18 hours to ramp up before hitting land again)

oh, that's not good! You can tell I don't know a whole lot about hurricanes, although I am watching more this year because we'll be visiting some of these islands next year.

I'll take my earthquakes any day over a hurricane. I can't even imagine what these poor people are going through! My SIL and family live in Florida, and had to evacuate one year. They drove all the way to Colorado to stay with her inlaws. That was the first year they lived in their brand new home. She said it was horrible not knowing whether or not the house was still there. Phone lines were down so they could not reach anyone in the area to check on their house. They didn't know anything until they got back!

btw, for the euchre players in the group.....there is another game called wizard. it's very similar to euchre except you have to guess how many tricks you will take with each hand.
each hand you get another card (first hand--one card, second hand--two cards, etc)
plus you don't play partners.
very fun game. :)

We had several really bad ones yesterday. They all just skimmed us so we didn't get the worst of it. Whew! Hopefully things will be dry on the way up to you. Saturday and Sunday's forecast look BEAUTIFUL!

We'll be out of here within 12 hours. Must stop at bank on way out of town. Am I desperate or what? I rolled up all of my quarters/dimes/nickels/pennies to trade in for "real" money. hee hee

we had a really bad storm about 1 pm we lost the lights at School then after about 45 minutes we lost the emergency generator when i went into the generator room to see what happened i could smell antifreeze not a good sign it seems the core of the radiator went and antifreeze was all over the floor just hope no internal damage to the generator. power came back on at 3 pm but now we do not have a emergency generator and we need to get that fixed by the Wednesday after labor day that's the first day of school for us here.

Here are my answers:

Accent– well I'm from Chicago so I don't think I have one :)

I don’t drink– alcohol. Just never got into it.

Pets– just some fish. Our schedules are a little too crazy for a dog and I'm allergic to cats.

Essential Electronics– my pda and my blood sugar monitor

Perfume– Laila - the essence of Norway. A fellow cruiser turned me on to it. It is available at Norway in Epcot. A light clean scent.

Gold or Silver– both. Mostly gold.

Insomnia– yes as I've gotten older. Some nights I wake up at 2am and will cruise the DIs for a while before heading back to sleep.

Job Title– Team Supervisor

Most Admired Trait– I think the trait that I admire most and one I try to keep is that of someone with deep faith. I saw this in my Mom especially in her last months of life.

Kids– no children here, but we have Bear. :)

Phobia– someday being all alone.

Religion– Roman Catholic

Siblings– one older brother.

Time I Wake Up– radio goes off at 5 am, usually out of bed by 5:30

Unusual Talent or Skill– hmmm - don't think I really have one. I'm pretty proud of the web skills I developed but that really isn't unusual.

Vegetable I Refuse to Eat– sadly just about all of them. I'm not a good eater.

Worst Habit– eating badly and not getting enough exercise.

X-rays– too many. First one was when I broke my ankle, then all the ones from when I had cancer and now my yearly mammogram.

My Favorite Meal– Roast turkey and mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving. Yum!

went to middle school orientation this morning...so much to learn! spent half a fortune on agenda book, PE clothes, locks for locker, book covers and school shirt. I also already paid for a year book since they had an "early bird special". ha!

Got some limo quotes, just so I can get a general idea, since I want to surprise the kids with a stretch limo to and from the airport. Doesn't cost as much as I thought...$300 round trip, with tip included, but we always pay a little extra to the driver in cash when they say that!

Good morning everyone - happy Sunday!

Had a great day with Karen and family.

Started out with breakfast at our house. Then we headed over to the zoo. Mid-afternoon we went over to Woodfield Mall for a little bit of shopping and a visit to the DVC store. Then dinner at Bahama Breeze.

We ended the evening back at Karen & Mike's hotel so the kids could swim while the adults played LRC.

Today we'll be picking them up after we go to Mass. The plan is to go out to breakfast, then head downtown to see some sights including the Field Museum and Navy Pier.

Have a great day everyone!

The next 2 weeks should be busy for us. Adam just put his 2 week notice in at work. He's going back to the consulting world. Changing jobs is never fun through with insurance, finishing up at the old job, and getting the hang of the new one. Mike--glad to hear you're feeling better. My SIL gets vertigo.

Kay--We're heading to CA late September. We'll have to talk meet as things get closer. We still don't even have a rental car or DL tickets. I think we're totally unprepared for this trip!

omg, Josh is starting middle school tomorrow and I am SO nervous for him!! For 6 years I walked him to his classroom the first day of school, tomorrow will be the first year I won't do it! (don't wanna embarrass him too much, plus Kaylee's elementary school starts at the same time, so I basically will only have time to drop him off there!) I can't believe he'll be in middle school. He still seems like such a little boy to me, you know? *sniff* I am having a really hard time!! We'll leave in a bit to drive up to the school to find out who his homeroom teacher will be.

Karen, congrats on your 14,000th post. Wow!

Well, first day at middle school went well. Of course, I couldn't sleep all night and was a nervous wreck this morning! The traffic in the morning is going to kill me. Hopefully it will ease up a bit in a week or so. it took me forever just to get out of the parking lot there. Josh said it went well. He likes his teachers so far and it isn't at all what he expected, in a good way though!

I'm off tomorrow, and hopefully will be able to get caught up on some stuff around here!

Well, let's see. There is a small little football game tomorrow. Should only be about 100thousand people there. Nothing too big. Mike and KT are going. Nick and I have no real plans.
Sunday, Mike is on call. Will go to the office in the morning and see kids as long as needed. Weather is supposed to be BEAUTIFUL so he shouldn't be home too late.
Monday, he'll have to round at the hospital if there are any patients admitted.
That's it. No grand plans. Our grand plans were last weekend. :) And grand they were.

Btw, Mary, I have given you an award over on the blog! Please come down the red carpet and accept! :)

Well, since Mary already beat me to the "I-O" part, I won't repeat it.

You are LUCKY!!! As of now, we WON'T get to see it on TV.
Seems like Time Warner Cable and the Big Ten Network can't come to an agreement, so the game won't be on TV.

But we'll listen to it anyway. :)

LOL I am proud of Mary for knowing what to say but you could have started the chant again. Just kidding but you know that is what we do at the games!

We have direct tv so we have the big 10 network. Minnie you might want to switch to direct tv if your provider can't get their act together. If you decide to switch let me know as I watched a commerical last night saying we can both get $50 if you do. Do I dare say then we will have money for the cruise. lol. I really do love the big 10 network and am glad we have it. Gone are the days that I will have to rent the broadcast (another dollar savings). I hope your subscriber gets their act together and get it for you.

As far as what games we are going to attend. Here is the list:

September 22 - Ohio State beats Northwestern
October 20 - Ohio State pounds Michigan State
November 3 - Ohio State crushes Wisconsin
November 10 - Ohio State kills Illinois (or in honor of Thanksgiving makes mincemeat pie out of Illinois)

There is 1 more game that we might attend but I will let you know that one later. We are staying at the Varsity Inn. I don't know what times all the games will be held but lets plan on getting together for at least one of them. Let me know which one (s) work for you and we will put our planners together and see what meshes.

Go Bucks!!!!

Can't do DirectTV here. We did have it at one time but it didn't work well for us. Central Ohio is notoriously very very cloudy. Between that and the fact that we have LARGE trees right in the path the dish had to pick up, our signal was always iffy, especially in the summer when the trees had leaves! Darn!

I think it's just for the first two games. All of the other games will be on other channels (which we get) Whew!

I know we can't get together for the Northwestern game. We've had enough Chicago for one year (JUST KIDDING!!!!) Actually, Mike somehow ended up on call that day so we're giving our tickets away.

Tomorrow at exactly noon, my blog will be updated with a post about OSU!! YIPPIE!

Ohio Minnie I thought the same thing when I saw the picture and then I read the caption. It just shows that great minds think alike! To the poster it is a good picture though.

Minnie sorry that you can't get the first 2 games on your tv but I am glad that you can get the rest of them. So you have had enough of Chicago huh? What was there that made you not want to go back? (just kidding). That game is in the shoe as you know but I am sorry that your dh and child had to give those tickets away. How does it look for us to get together after one of the other games. They haven't released the times of those games yet with the exception of Michigan State on October 20. That game is homcoming and is at 3:30 PM. Since it is homecoming that would be a fun game to meet up at either before or after as long as we met in the OSU area. The Buckeye Cafe is right next door to the Varsity Inn and the streets are open the whole day. Just a thought. What part of Columbus do you live in? I am also having to juggle my dd games which means that on Oct 21 I have to be back home (in Lexington) by 4:30 PM. I don't know what time I have to be back in November as the tournament schedule hasn't been published. Catherine is 4 as you know and is cheering for the Bengals, a 9-12 year old football team this year. The players are awesome and proudly made her feel like a million dollars when they posed for pictures last Saturday. She is their youngest cheerleader.

It would be so much fun to connect before the cruise so I really want to meet you.

Take care and remember

We opened the place the day of the OSU-MI game and it really wasn't crowded and even waiting to get in line was fun with everyone doing cheers etc. I guess with us staying next door it made it easy to get a table. Please don't tell everyone it wasn't crowded though as that is our secret ok. As far as the MI game when they meet the Bucks their season will get even worse. I am just so happy that there is no way anyone will take them seriously (unless all teams have at least 2 losses) for the National Championship. What can I say "I HATE MI and I used to live there." Funny thing though - I do love the MI Junior Miss People and when I go down to AL I support their girl.

I see where Felix is about to cause havoc. The good news is the US isn't in its sights. Better news is that we are this late in the season and only on "F". Two years ago we sailed Sept 4-7 on the Member Cruise and had to dock in Ft. Lauderdale because of hurricane Ophelia!

Here's hoping that all those in the path of Felix stay safe.

Another getting to know you game by way of Karen's blog. To see here answers go here: http://www.pediascribe.com/

RULES: You have to post these rules before you give the facts. Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.

Here are mine, my middle name is Patricia

P - paranoid. Yes I admit it that I'm sometimes paranoid. Remembering the saying "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you". :lmao:

A - artistic. Not greatly artistic, but I feel I do pretty good in the scrapbooking sense.

T - tea. I don't drink alcohol or coffee, however I'm a big tea drinker. Especially in the cooler weather where I'll have one each morning at work.

R - respect. I'm a big believer in respect. Respect of elders, respect of superiors, respect of others in general.

I - Irish. It is my heritage and one I embrace. In fact two weeks ago we spent a weekend up at Irish Fest. Don't get me wrong. I'm first and foremost an American but almost all Americans have a foreign heritage and mine is Irish.

C - Catholic. Maybe I should say I'm Irish Catholic because growing up in Chicago the two often are said side by side. I was born and raised Catholic and still practice to this day.

I - innocent. I would like to say I'm pretty worldly but at the same time with enough innocence in me that I can love a stuffed animal or enjoy a week at WDW. :goodvibes

A - appreciative. I appreciate so much that I have been given in this life. A wonderful husband, good friends, the freedom of living in this great country, a good job, a house that is paid for, and the ability to vaction as often as we do.

So who wants to be next? This is the first time I've seen this game and it really made me think. Thanks Karen!

An Ohio State one for Karen's family and a Michigan one for Jim's family. Put them on their stateroom doors and the families had fun messing with each others (they were right down the hall from each other). They ended up upside down, on the ceiling, etc. All in good fun!

That sounds like a lot of fun for the two of them. It was so sweet of you to get them the magnets.

Since a number of the families had all sailed together back in 2004 we all knew each other already and there were a few in jokes that made it on to door magnets as well.

We've made door magnets for our last 4-5 cruises and it is always fun to see what people come up with.

Oh, you must be referring to the one that touted my husband's amazing ability to pee cat litter.

Or the one of Scuba sitting on a toilet.

Or Handsome Handyman's rubber band sign.

Or "Cupcake and Cupcake." ---> I need to blog about that one! :)

He's in Reston, VA which we had no clue where that was until my dad said it was near DC. And don't think he's living the rough life. The client put him up in the Hyatt!!

Just got exciting news. Adam's best friend is getting married in orlando Nov10 (veteran's day weekend) so I get to go to WDW in Oct, Nov, and Dec!!!!!

why do people have to be so darn rude??? I posted on the transportation forum, puzzled as to why a plane can almost completely book within a matter of only a few days (all non-elite seats available one day, only about 4 available 3 days later). One person comes back and informs me that it's a big world and I am not alone in it! If you don't have anything nice to say on a person's thread, just bite your tongue! I am just really upset right now, not just this, but life itself. Like I said, I am having a rough time right now and this doesn't help!

I did it. I did it. I have officially become crunchy. Or granola. Or a freak. Call me what you want. But I just ordered these: www.lunapads.com

Not for me. For KT who, unfortunately, is growing up as a woman no matter how hard I've tried to prevent it. I've read RAVE reviews on these (never have heard a bad thing) and she's having problems with the "typical" products out there, so what the heck, we're giving it a try.

Wow, I thought homeschooling made me a freak. This DEFINITELY puts me well into that category! :)

THE GIFT OF LIFE

There is a wisdom in living life, and unless we have mastered it, we are vulnerable to serious disaster. All can attain it. It rests on the realization that everything we have, is a gift, ultimately from the Creator, and that every day of our lives the gift is given anew. This realization will deepen our joys of possession, and it will also lighten the grief of separation.

In assessing our condition, we are often tempted to be dissatisfied. Our mind wanders toward what we lack. And, if we contrast our deficiency with somebody else’s affluence, we are tempted to rebel against our destiny. But our mind is set at peace when we suddenly remember that whatever we have is not, in a final sense, of our making. Nor is it ours as of right. For what did we bring with us into the world which is our home? We came into it devoid of everything. And all toward which we have grown and everything which has been placed into our hands, to have and to cherish, is a gift given us freely, graciously.

It was given in love, a love which, in a real sense, we could not earn and for which we can offer little in reciprocity. And when this awareness possesses us, we look at ourselves with new contentedness. The awareness of our blessings, and of the source from which they come, prepares us also for the inevitable surrender. For being mortal, we know that the things we cherish cannot last forever, and that even if they last, we cannot always be around to enjoy them. A final separation awaits every relationship, no matter how tender. Some day we shall have to drop every object to which our hands now cling. These thoughts sadden us, but we can bear them more readily when we remember that the measure of our loss is also the measure of our privilege.

Shall we rebel because the rose lasts for a brief few days? No! We dare not grieve for the days when no roses blossom in our garden. We must rather give thanks for whatever days we were privileged to enjoy roses, to taste their beauty and their fragrance. Every day of our life our blessings are given to us anew. For the gift given us and for whatever time we are privileged to keep it, we are grateful. And when we are asked to surrender the gift, we shall still know that we were richly blessed.

Good morning everyone!

Good advice Randy. As a cancer survivor I've tried to enjoy every day I have here on earth. Some days better than others. For me one thing that helped is journaling. If I'm having a bad day I write it down. If I'm having a great day I write it down. I also write down all the blessings in my lift. After I write down the bad things I go back and re-read the good things and blessing. Thanks for the great reminder.

Good morning everyone - happy Sunday.

Had a very nice time last night at a dinner/dance put on by DH's company. They are a family owned company that is celebrating 150 years of business. The party was for all workers, family, long time customers and the companies major vendors. Over 350 people in all. Each employee got a certificate thanking them for their years of service and they had a slide show going during dinner and the cocktail hour showing everyone at work and how many years they had been with the company. One gentlemen just retired after working for them for 65 years!

We never got to the dancing part - they might have started that after we left. After dinner they opened up a separate room with a sweet table and the dj started playing but no one was really dancing.

Still a great party.

hi all! Just wanted to check in! How is everyone doing? I am off to work in a bit! Airfare has gone up again, it's depressing. I am thinking of just biting the bullet and buying it. I originally planned on us flying in on the redeye Thursday night, but now I am thinking we'll take a 8am Friday morning flight, getting us there around 4pm. Probably less stressful. I have never taken a redeye with the kids, so I don't know how they would do and I don't think this is the time to find out ;) Besides, coming in in the afternoon, we'll know for sure our hotel room is ready for us!

Yes. It's the Northwestern game and dh is on call so he can't be there. He swapped tickets with someone else and I think that's how he got 4 tickets to the Youngstown game. But I'm not 100% positive. I just pay the Buckeye Club bill. ;)

Good morning everyone!

The Magic and Wonder are just about identical so if you know your way around one you'll have no problems with the others. The big differences:

Lobby decor - one is art nuveo while one is art deco (can't remember which is which).

Lumiere's on the Magic is Triton's on the Wonder

Topsiders on the Magic is Beach Blanket Buffet on the Wonder

Beat Street on the Magic is Route 66 on the Wonder

Magic has Sorcerer Mickey on the front while the Wonder has Steamboat Willie

Magic has Goofy hanging off the back while the Wonder has Donald and Huey, Duey and Luey.

Just small little touches like that.

Got a great call today. My MIL calls me today to tell me Adam's cousin and his wife are pregnant. And hinting at the fact that she wants to be a grandmother. I know she means well and I love her to death (I got very lucky) but still don't need to hear it. We hear it from everyone else and don't need it from our families. Sorry to vent tonight but needed to get it out. I feel better now!!! Now going back to look at the dcl food thread, can't wait to have me some food from palo!!!

And really really close to Garrett's popcorn! :) Maybe KT needs to consider going there! ;)

Mike's dad called last night. They had gone out to dinner (in Springfield) at the Golden Corral. Half of the restaurant was blocked off and all of the tables were covered in pretty table clothes and done up nicely. A little bit later, 3 charter busses pulled in and the NW team unloaded and came into eat! We laughed because we knew there was no way they'd be trying to eat in Columbus!!!

it's nice to see the "6 months" on my ticker!! :cool1: It feels like April will never come, yet the time goes fast at the same time!

I had no idea Karen left for California already. Must have missed the post! Wish we could have touched base before, however, I probably won't have time to drive out to Disney the next week or so anyway! :sad2:

Have to work all day today. It's hard to get going this morning! I need to go upstairs and get ready! :coffee:

Yay just found out that I get to check-in a day early for our conference at the CR next month. My boss (aka my dad) wants to go to the Thomas Kinkade breakfast that disney is putting on that saturday morning at the GF. Thomas Kinkade is unveiling his new piece called A New Day at the Cinderella Castle. My dad collects disney artwork and already has the other Thomas Kinkade disney picture so he's very excited about getting this piece plus getting to meet Thomas Kinkade.

I totally agree with your assesment of Disneyland. I love that it is Walt's park and appreciate many of the things it has, but it is nothing like my beloved Walt Disney World. Epcot has been my favorite for so long and California has nothing to compare to that.

I do love that you can walk to everything which is one of the reasons I really love Boardwalk. I can walk to both Epcot and the Studios.

You're right Mike -this is a pretty quiet group. I know for us it is getting ready for our next cruise. We sail one week from today on the Wonder for a 4 night DVC Members cruise.

Fall has come to Chicago as well. Not too heavy on the leaves yet but we do the same thing with them. rake them to the curb and the village picks them up once a week.

I'm sure things will pick up a bit as we get closer and closer to the cruise.

then rehearsals have started for KT's High School Musical.

then there is blog related work.
and the indians are in the ALCS. We haven't watched much baseball all year, but i grew up an Indians fan, so we're watching them (except last night we couldn't stay up that late!)
Plus there is this little thing called college football. :) And we had to watch the #1 team go down yesterday and listen to #2 go down. What's that? The BUCKEYES should be ranked #1 today????

Actually that is my natural hair color as well (well I guess my natural color now would be grey which is why I use the box).

Very good book but it is a deep read so I haven't been breezing through it.

We had met them back a couple of years ago at an Illuminations Dessert party before we cruised with them last year. By the way Karen and Mary if your ears were burning when I was on vacation it is because you were being talked about. I met up with Laura LeClair at DW.

When I read your favorite lunch meat, I saw it as "Meat-chicken!" ;)

If you like Fruit Loops, try the Fruity Cheerios. Very good! (and healthier to boot! Now if I eat Fruit Loops they taste too sickening sweet for me.)

Oh yeah, that is a GOOD ice cream!! Cracks me up they call it "chocolate chip." More like "chocolate CHUNK!"

Game is at 3:30 this weekend, right? Did you say you wanted to meet somewhere very close to the stadium? There is Buckeye Cafe, although I fear that is going to be a zoo! There are several other good places that aren't *too* far away. I just don't know what it will be like for Nick and I trying to get TO the stadium area while everyone else is trying to leave. ;)

Laura and I met at the AK. The cool thing is that we won a private safari so we all got to go!!! It was awesome and we got to see animals that generally aren't out. Laura is a sweetheart and I just adore her. She is sending me some pictures and some Mickey Heads as we don't get have them here and I have kept checking the store to no avail. I was telling her about our cruise and naturally we started talking about the Buckeyes (of course she is a MI fan but I love her anyway) and one thing lead to another. I mentioned that we were meeting Karen at a game and then she said I know her. I also mentioned you Mary and she said she is a friend of mine to. We talked for a while about how wonderful the two of you are, how you guys had met and I tried to get her to go on the cruise (but sadly she can't go). What can I say except it is a small world. I had no idea you guys were friends! She said I will love you guys and the cruise will be wonderful.

Karen, We will be arriving around 12 noon on Saturday and the game is at 3:30. We could meet for lunch at the Buckeye Cafe (if we can get in), meet for dinner afterwards or do brunch on Sunday. We have to be back in Lexington at 4:15 on Sunday but besides that I am wide open. Do you have a preference? What will work with your schedule. I know that when I went to the Buckeye Cafe before the NW game there was only one other table with people at it. Was it a slow day do it being NW? I don't know. What do you think?

That is really cool about the private safari! You are right it is a very small world and that is what I love about these boards. A chance to get to know people from all over. Hope you and Karen have a great meet as well. I know you will because they are good people too!

I booked our air! I feel sick to my stomach, knowing how much I paid. Way over what I budgeted, but I have been watching the fares climb since May and I can't risk it going up even more. So I just booked it and want to forget about it! :lmao: It's exciting though, because it makes this cruise even more real!

Mary, I took your advice and we will be leaving LA Friday morning, coming in Friday afternoon, and not taking the redeye even though that would have saved us some money! We'll just be way too exhausted, especially since I know i won't be able to sleep! We'll just take it easy Friday, go to dinner for my birthday and make it an early night! Our flight home leaves at 1:20pm on Saturday after the cruise!

Hello All,

Am I still allowed to post even though I haven't been around for awhile?:lmao:

I have been so busy....I figure if I get a job out of the home I won't be so busy (I haven't done that yet)

I am so afraid that my dd in 9th grade won't be able to go on the cruise. She already has 7 absences (and you are only allowed 15 total - or you don't receive credit for the class) and when we cruise it won't be her spring break.

She had a MRSA staph infection (thank God we caught it early) and then the next week she had a virus in the lining of her lung that put her in the hospital (actually they wanted to rule out that the MRSA had spread).

Hey Jen! I am thinking about you a lot! Glad to see you post! How was your Alaska cruise?

Tell your DD to not get sick again! :lmao: Hope she will be able to go! Have you guys bought airfare yet? It's insane from LAX! :scared1: I bought ours yesterday, don't even want to think about it. Paid $500 more than I wanted to!

Jen - nice to see you!

Well the car is all packed and we are ready to go early tomorrow am. Just going to see how the storm that is headed this way is doing as to when we head out. I'll have the notebook so may check in once in a while.
