A shout out to all the Disney Dads!

This will be my 4th time taking my twin girls now 7 to WDW, their dad wants nothing to do with it!
I plan the trip with my sisters and save my money and go. I'm surprising them with it for Christmas, they asked Santa for the trip.

I wish he could see how their face lights up as soon as they see the Castle and just the whole feeling being there with them makes me feel like a kid again!
I would love it if I had a man in my life as crazy as me about Disney as me....well maybe not that crazy :bitelip: but just thought it was a good time too!

Its held at MGM and at the Wide World of Sports. Last year when we went with the All Star Team they did not require a separate admission at MGM. At the Wide World of Sports you did have to pay a separate entrance fee.

Weather last year started out cool and raining, but warmed up by the last day. This year could be anything. Just check the forecast before you leave but make sure you have rain gear just in case.

Just got an email offer from Spirit Air out of Atlantic City to Orlando for 49.50 each way, and just had to book it. We just got back from Disney World on 12/2 and stayed at the WL and I can't believe I booked another trip so soon. I must be nuts. Anyway we have never stayed in Feb, Feb 5-8, just a short trip, how is the weather and crowds expected to be. Not sure where to stay, WL is out of the question, to expensive, so excited to book another resort. Any suggestions.

My husband and I have visited before in 2001, but we only visited MK and MGM and stayed off property. This time its a full out vacay with our daughers (4 and 1) and my little sister (14). My girls and my sister have never been so its going to be a blast!

I am too excited to sleep already! We are heading to POP Feb 1-12!! My DH, and DS10 & DS12 first trips to WDW. We are also taking my best friend and her DD10 with us. She is surprising her DD with the trip on Christmas morning.

It has been really hard to keep the secret from all the kids; my darling boys would gladly tell her and ruin the surprise!

Praying for good weather, but honestly, anything over the 20 degree weather :cold: that we will have here at that time will be down right tropical!

We have been through a lot of replanning with this trip. Was originally going to be my brother and his girlfriend, me and the guy I am dating.

Brother and girlfriend broke up, my guy and i have been on and off.

And so far I've packed some rain poncho's, and a key chain flashlight (for DS on dark rides) in it and that's about it. :rotfl: I need to start a list too!

Not knowing what the wearther will be like I think I am going to pack 3 ro 4 short type outfits and 3 or 4 pant type outfits. Glad we are driving,so I dont have to worry about the weight of my luggage.I got everyone hoodies for christmas so we will be taking those.I've already got my bag to take to the parks and our rain poncho's from last year (we never had to use them).I still need to pick up Tinker bell gifts for me dd.and glow sticks lol the list goes on

I like to have options, so I bring way to much. I love to wear cropped pants with a t or tank and hoodie so if it gets hot I can strip...but if it's cold I am covered.

I'm not bringing a coat, but lots of hoodies :) Shorts or cropped pants for during the day and a couple pairs of jeans or pants in case it gets cooler...with the winter we have been having in NY, I wouldn't be suprrised if its in the 80's the whole week we are there:rotfl:

We have been there the last two years in Feb and we will be there again this year. The weather is unpredicatable. Two full days last year it rained on us the entire day but the cm's said that was unusual. The year before it got below 50 degrees so they quit running the transportation boats. But other than those two times the weather is great in the late morning until the sun goes down. We layer our clothes alot. enjoy

We do glo-sticks for dark rides that may scare my youngest, and sometimes just for at night. I get them at Dollar Tree for CHEAP!!!! $1.00 for a pack of three!!!

Sorry I havent gotten bakc to you sooner,we've been kinda busy.

Glo stick: one it is to save money(they are $7.00 at WDW) here we can get a pack of 3 for $1.00 at the dollar tree.I give dd 2 packs a night and she hands them out to kids that sit around us at the parades and stuff(got the hint off of these boards ) share the magic.

Tinker bell gift: this too came off these wonderful boards to keep dd from getting the I wants in the parks "tinker bell" comes in every night after she is a sleep and leaves a small bag with trinkets in it ex.:princess pens,paper,pretty much andy thing disney that I can find at the dollar store or target.
It just makes the magic more real for my dd.Last year was our first time and she didnt ask for anything the whole time we were there! On our last day she wanted to go shopping cause she had money she had gotten from her b-day and she got a pair of cindy earrings,and a stitch toy and came home with 40 of the 80 she had.(I was really proud of her,she's only 5)
This year Santa left her 80.00 in disney dollars for her trip.hoping she does good with it too.

I was having a hard time but decided to pack a little of everything shorts,capris,and pants. Just thought of swimsuits today almost forgot due to the cold that has moved in on us.

In Canada here right on the border with Detroit MI., it's freezing here today and I've got my girls trying on clothes from last summer. I need to see what fits and what I have to buy, good thing the stores are full of spring wear!

I have twin 7 year old girls so it's really hard for me to scale down and not over pack! I bought 2 new suitcases I didn't get the big ones because afraid of going over weight limit. So what doesn't it doesn't fit! I may try out that ziploc bag idea....try and get it all in!!:goodvibes

Did the ziploc bag idea last year and it was PERFECT!!

DH was able to get the girls dressed in coordinating ( mean no striped shirts with polka do shorts/ no pastels with primaries) outfits, no questions, no fights!!

Packed two extra zipped up bags per girl in case of spillage etc.....went as far as to ziploc our outfits and did laundry 1/2 way through ( went on the cruise and I could not board knowing I had one suitcase of dirty clothes).

Husband thought I was crazy, but once in place he loved the system,,,,,and their was no panic packing the night before!

Going again in 32 days,...little more of a challenge this time since we are in layer weather but I am ready, bring down those suitcases baby mama is going ziploc our way through!!:lmao:

Blueeyed girl Try calling AKL now We just got switched over there. My husband has a convention at that time (not the home builders) But the turn out is bigger then they thought so they moved some of us to AKL (lucky us) Any how they just turned in all the paper work So their might be spots now They had reserved several rooms in advanced I doubt they needed all they had done. I think they had 1,000 for CSR and 1,000 for AKL His company is not that big

I agree. We leave in 5 days and it is soooooo slow. I try to distract myself with cleaning or laundry but it isn't helping. I can't wait. We are suppose to get rain when are there but that won't dampen my spirits. LOL

oh gosh! Only 14 days left and I just changed all our ressies from AKL to OKW. We wanted to stay an extra night and no matter what we did we kept getting an "it's booked solid" answer. I am very excited, though! I think OKW will fit us just fine and DS will have a lot of fun in the sand.

Oh gosh I sure hope so!!! I've been told there are a few conventions going on and a cheerleading competition. Not sure what the parks will be like, but the resorts are PACKED!! We will be there from the 10-16th.

Lines shouldn'be be too bad. The conventions like that usually only affect the hotels and maybe the parks a bit at night. Crossing my fingers.

Gosh, I started packing 2 months ago :rotfl2:
I then unpacked and repacked. I packed a suitcase of snacks for the kids, a bag of personal hygeiene "stuff". I bought shorts for my oldest since last years are too small (hopefully he can wear them). Now I just have to pack the actual clothes, which will be a couple days before we leave.

I think it's official!! I'm too excited to sleep. I woke up at 3 AM today, couldn't go back to sleep, so I started doing a mental checklist of things I had to get done for our trip.:laughing:

I've got 13 days left! But it's looking like jeans weather so I can't pack yet, since I wear jeans on the weekends. I am, however, going to make sure I have rain ponchos and some fun gear for the Pirate & Princess Party!

My clothes shopping for the 3 of us is pretty much done. I've packed up all the new clothes and small items such as rain ponchos, stick on potty seat covers for DS, child ID tags, etc. My "Disney folder" is all made up and ready to go. It has our reservations, iteneraries, print out of Dining plan restaurants, and I made us a little take along booklet for our back pack that lists the counter service meals in each park with examples of what each one serves! I really think that will come in handy.:thumbsup2

I ordered some Crocs online but they are too big! I don't have enough time to send them back so I'm hoping that one of the stores here has the size/color I need and will exchange them for me.:confused3

I have started a big pile in my bedroom of stuff to pack. We're 3 weeks away from leaving. I think I have all of the clothes we need, not sure of the weather. Last year I brought way too much clothes for the kids. It's hard to pack for this time of year. It was fairly warm during the day, but got pretty chilly in the evening. I read a tip about packing complete outfits for the kids in ziploc bags to make things easy in the mornings. I might try that. I want to decrease the amount my huband has to carry in the backpack each day. I always bring too much stuff!:)

I'm in the obnoxious other boat - I've lost about 15 pounds? Maybe 10? Since summer ended for me. So I kinda hope it's jeans weather, because I'm not sure I have any shorts or capris that fit, too!

I leave in 12 days (arrrgh so long!) so the weather forecasts will change at least twice a day between now and then! :laughing:

I did, however, discover a household stash of FIVE rain ponchos, and since I'm only going for four days (incl. arrival & departure), I think I'm all set! Now, to find some cheesy pirate stuff and finish knitting my jolly rodgers lace project!

Ok I might have said this on here before but...my mom flies in from Maryland this Thursday and is going back the day we leave. My brother flies in from Australia next Sunday to visit until we leave and then he is staying with friends...so my week is going to be BUSY!!....on top of that we are trying to get our house on the market ASAP so we have been working on it from dawn til dusk. I was in Wal-Mart last night and TOTALLY FREAKED out, because I realized I hadn't made a list or shopped for the last minute things (snacks, airplane entertainment, hygiene products, etc) and I probably will not make it there again before we leave because of all the activity going on. Well, I think I remembered everything!:woohoo: I even remembered the dirty diaper sacks!
