I'd been looking forward to the Mousefest Winter Summerland Mini-Golf meet, but they just changed it to Fantasia Gardens. Not that there's anything wrong with that :) but I'd also like to try Winter Summerland. Would anyone be interested in meeting there for a game or two of mini-golf? I'll be at WDW December 4-12. I have lots of plans already and I'm sure most of you do too, but we could try to find a day/time that would work for both.

I would join you but I will be down there the 18-22. If someone is going to be down there the week that I am down there, I would be interested in meeting for some mini-golf.

Dave, I'm sorry that we'll miss each other by a few days. I hope we both find other mini-golf pals who will be there when we are.

I found someone to meet me for mini-golf on December 11 at 10:00 AM. If anyone else would like to join us, please let me know. The more, the merrier!

Of course you are, wdwfanjon!

Who else out there would like to join us?

We'll play one game at Winterland and one game at Summerland.

Hi, wdwfanjon! CoasterAddict will be joining us at 11 AM for the second game.

Would anyone else like to meet us at 10 AM for one or both games?

Cool!! :cool1:

Does that mean we have to finish the first game in less than an hour? :lmao:
No pressure.

No, she can wait a few minutes if we run slightly over, and if we happen to finish in less than an hour, we can wait a few minutes for her.

Sherrynny will also be joining us at 10 AM, so we now have three of us for the first game, and four for the second game. :)

Another player!! Woohoo!! :dance3:

If it stays this way, we could have a threesome for the first game and either have a foursome or 2 twosomes for the second game.

By the way, does anyone have a preference for which course to play first and which to play second? Should we play the Summer course first, then finish with the Winter course (the more Christmas-y course) when we have the largest group? What do you think?

I've never played either, and I'm just glad I'll be able to meet up with y'all for part of it! :cool1: :thumbsup2

I think it's fine to have up to four people playing in one group. If we end up with five or more people in either or both games, I'd be in favor of starting another group.

I would prefer to play Winterland first. Because it's in season, that course will probably get a lot more crowded than the other one. By playing Winterland first thing when they open, we'll avoid the delay of having lots of people ahead of us. I don't expect Summerland to get as crowded.

I will try it but cannot guarantee attendence. My schedule shows me going to the DisMates MK EMH on the 10th, and it is about a 45 minute drive home for me. Depends on when I get up and get organized, but I'll try.

Of course if I am able to crash in someone's room on property after EMH that is a different story. Anybody have a spare bed or

Cheshire Figment, we'll consider your RSVP a "maybe". If you miss the first game, you might still join us for the second game at 11 AM... in which case we'd have at least five people for that one, and we'd split into two groups.

DaisyDuck001

JulesLP will also be joining us for both games. :)

In summary, we now have:

Game 1 at 10 AM:
wdwfanjon
DaisyDuck001
Sherrynny
JulesLP
Cheshire Figment (maybe)

Game 2 at 11 AM:
wdwfanjon
DaisyDuck001
CoasterAddict
Sherrynny
JulesLP
Cheshire Figment (maybe)

We'll split up into groups of four people or less. AP-holders get half off. Others in the party may get half off the second game only, or 15% off a single game if they are with an AP-holder.

Anyone arriving at 11 AM for the second game: if you don't see us by the ticket window, we may be finishing up our first game. If we finish early, we'll wait for you until 11 AM.

Can't wait!! Now, do you throw the ball or the club? And if I remember correctly high score wins, I know I always hit 1,000 :rotfl: :rotfl:

If I don't meet you before, I look forward to meeting you on the 11th.

ps: I was just kidding about the 1,000, I never get higher than 999 (one for every grinning ghost)

Hi,

According to my MouseFest schedule, December 11 (Monday) is free except for the 50s Prime Time Cafe dinner at 5:45 pm. I will be happy to play a game or two.

Great to see all these new additions!! :bounce:

I don't know if Winter Summerland will be too crowded at opening, which is 10 a.m., especially on a Monday morning. We may have the place to ourselves, or close to it. Who knows?

So, are we going to play the Winter course first? Anyone prefer the Summer course first? Cast your vote.

I'll be in WDW one week from tomorrow!!

Just a quick post to alert everyone coming to Winter Summerland. As DaisyDuck already knows, Blizzard Beach will be closed for rehab while we are there, so bus transportation to Blizzard Beach/Winter Summerland may be iffy. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions concerning this?

I will have a car during this trip and could offer transportation to 3 people (I am renting a small car). If you would like a lift to Winter Summerland, please let me know. I am staying at the Pop Century Resort.

Hopefully everyone can make it!

See you there.

Gosh, if there's no bus then I'm probably "out," especially coming later... :guilty:

I will have a car, I'm staying off property, so, if you can stand a New York driver, let me know.

was told busses *will* be running to W/S, but that it's a good idea to check w/Guest Services upon arrival to find out how *frequently* they're running...

See you all soon! :cool1: :cheer2:

I would still prefer to play the Winter course first.

Regarding bus service given that Blizzard Beach will be closed, I also called WDW, and they told me that they will still provide bus service to Winter Summerland. When you get to your resort, ask there about which bus to take. It may be combined with the bus to Animal Kingdom or another park, and you may need to tell the driver that you are going to Winter Summerland, as one fan thought the busses will go there only by request.

When we are finished at Winter Summerland, we can probably have a cast member call to have a bus sent to pick us up, if none are stopping there automatically.

The problem is the scorekeeper absconded with the score cards and then left town. He needs to publish the results.

:rotfl: But remember, it isn't if you win or lose, but how you play the game, right?? Thanks, Daisy and FanJon for organizing this. I had a great time and added another Disney "first" to my list....well, two actually....
First mini-golf game, and first hole-in-one. But I didn't get a spiffy plaque like DisneyDave... :confused3
