i was talking to Katie about cutting jeans and she was like we dont do that..so i was wondering different trends from around the country!
ok lets see-
Af,AE etc. still popular
Docs still popular
Adidas shoes...they have 3 stripes on the side...tons of ppl have them
cutting jeans...ok so when your jeans are long and bag up you cut them down the seam so they fall over your shoes...does that make sense?
I know there are more but i cant think of them!
so how about you?

AF, AE, Aeropostale, Hollister
long sweater coat things
adidas superstars (they're the ones w/ the 3 stripes)
varsity jackets- there are so many people wearing them in the halls you can barely see anything else
what Jules said about cutting jeans
there's probably more but that's all I can think of right now!

(yay! I sorta insprired a post! :))
hmmm let's see...
Abercrombie and Fitch
J. Crew
turtleneck sweaters
these clogs from J. Crew (too hard to explain them)
Tiffany's (like everything from there)
denim skirts
hmm... think that's it!
oh and I had never heard about the cutting jeans things until talking to Jules... just shows how trends can be different!
the adidas shoes were so last year :) it probably took awhile for the trend to get down there :)

I have no style nor am I trendy...
T- Shirt('s)
Jeans(I do purposely walk on them so they rip at the bottom :D)
Zip up sweat shirts
Flanel(yes flanel!:D)
I'm still wearing the same pair of vans from a year ago...
No I'm not poor!! LOL Thats just the way I dress. :)
The stuff I listed is by no means the local trend...I'm not sure what it is.
I personally enjoy short skirts and tight shirts. :D(seeing girls in that attire...not wearing it my self!)
I personally enjoy short skirts and tight shirts. :D
eww :) I don't own any short skirts (except for the one I wore to my band concert last year : p ) and I'm very fidgety in my clothes, if they dont feel right, or are too tight, I won't wear them. That's why I can't find any pants. They're either to small, too tight, or too big : p

I've noticed at my school a total lack of trends this year. People who used to dress top to bottom in the newest most expensive Abercrombie, now might show up in 4 year old Nautica clothes. Everybody wearing the same thing has almost vanished here. The more affluent schools in the area, the guys like to grow their hair out into a shaggy or puffy thing and it looks ridiculous, our school sticks to the clean short hair for us dudes.

Samster - those shirts bug me too! I dunno why they do, but I can't stand them!
Hmm...let's see....
Adidas shoes really are "so last year" here too lol
Guys/Girls:
Etnies and Vans shoes are still popular
hooded sweatshirts
Girls:
boots
black platform sandals
denim skirts
dark denim
tight striped polo shirts
and wearing PJs to school (tee or hooded sweatshirt and PJ bottoms) is still popular!
Sorry...I dunno about guys trends really...cuz they don't really have any! :D

Theres not really a certian trend here. It seems like people where whatever!
Af, AE and all those are really popular and polo shirts for girls.
I have to agree that those arent my favorite shirts either!!! hehe
Guys are all into The Beatles and growing there hair out shaggy like what Joe was saying.

I forgot to say that polos and hoodie sweatshirts are 'in-style' here too! I love polos!! I have at least 15 (but half of those are for my school uniform- lol)

Now since im (and my entire) class is at the 'main campus' (grades 10-12 [9th has its own school]) its kinda 'to each its own'.. but some things that kinda stick out are:
+AE, AF, Pac Sun
+duster coats (the long sweater coats)
+doc sandles/any flipflops... it's still 70-80s degrees down here (superstars were last yr... but ppl still wear 'em)
+necklaces made of bandanas
+james avery cross rings
+bootcut jeans (w/ the cuts)
+hoodies (sweatshirts)
+value villiage (big thrift store downtown.. ppl get like shirts from there.. theyre like AE shirts.. but real --- WDfanantic.. ya might know what im talk bout b/c ya leave down here, right?)
+wearing more than one necklace (mostly guys)
+straight hair for girls
+the poofy hair/ gelled hair for guys
+belts.. mostly the sparkly kind

prettyprincess-where are you talking about? u ive liek an hour from me...cant be too far!
oh, yea a lot of people have those big boot things. I like wearing Lola's because I'm taller than her! (... if I'm standing on a chair! :D)
umm, umm, I can't think of anything else, except sparkley stuff, theres a lot of glittery pants, belts and shirts. I don't really like those pants with different denim sewed on ... I dunno. i just dont like them. :)

I forgot to say hooded sweatshirts and sweaters... I have like 5 or 6 shirts w/ hoods.
And superstars have never really gone out of style here. Everybody started wearing them when I was in like 6th grade and a lot of people still do. I have 2 pairs because I like them so much!
For guys it's really weird... you can almost tell what sport they play by their clothes and hair! Like the soccer players have either gelled or long hair, and the football and basketball players are the guys who HAVE to wear Abercrombie or American Eagle or Hollister every day, and the runners wear shirts from their cross country/track meets like every other day, and the guys who play no sports are either really "rock," w/ the huge jeans, or they dress like dorks. So there's not really one style for guys.

At the risk of sounding stupid....
what are superstars?? lol- i'm so confused@! I guess we don't have those up here! :)
I think they're the adidas sneakers with the three lines on the side that were either blue, pink, silver, white, and maybe black

WDWfanatic--- hmm, actually im not really sure.. ill have to PM ya the addy. Its downtown on whesthimer (s/s)?? Im soo bummed i haven't be able to go yet.. Last year it was really unique/rebel-ish to have clothes from there, but now its like everyone has been there, so its not that special.. like even the ppl who are stylish enough to buy a new wardrobe every week have at least one shirt from there.. the shirts cost like .50 cents and jeans are like $1.50...

prettyprincess-that what i thought you were talking about I cant spell it but I knwo it starts with an H..its like NYC chinatown but not near as good deals...I need to get my mom to take me one day!
Kiki-I agree...I dont like those either..I think they look kinda weird.
I do liek the pants that lace-up on the side! i gotta get those and I liek where they top is cut off I tried to do that but then I remembered I gotta have a belt with all my pants! hehe
oh yeah one other thing that is popular...cutting jeans off into capris...I did one more and they turned out half-way decent! lol

Everyone's really into a kinda grungy thing at the moment (just like they have been for the last few years  ). Baggy trousers, band sweatshirts and died hair.
Girls were walking around dressed like cheerleaders a lot, but (thank goodness) that's been dying down lately.
Everyone (and that's a literal ev-ery-one) is wearing big chunky jumpers at the moment, in all the colours of the rainbow :).
All the shops have loads of gypsy-ish clothes (I believe the correct term is 'peasant-chic' ) at the moment, but I haven't actually seen anyone wearing them.
We don't have Superstars over here, but Adidas trainers are really popular.
Loads of girls are wearing big chunky studded belts.
Corduroy (sp?) is being used with everything, trousers, jackets, bags, you name it, its made of cord.
Second hand clothes have finally become cool. (And not a moment too soon, looking at my current financial situation  ). I got a gorgeous Afghan coat for £5. :D
Hmm.....I know I'll think of loads more as soon as I press 'Submit'.

<font color=blueviolet size=3>Hmm... I can't really think of many new trends here... the Superstars are "in" here, I just got a pair like 2 months ago & I love them! Ummm... the pants w/the slits on the sides (I really like them!), umm, boots... mostly the high ones (that go up your legs). I have a pair & the little ninth graders I peer tutor call them my "hoe boots" when I wear them. LOL! ;) We just got an Old Navy & American Eagle @ our mall (they just started having stores in Canada) so that's been pretty popular. Hmm.. I guess that's all I can think of for now...
