Just told my DDP credits expired midnight BEFORE checkout!??

Did I happen to get an idiot CM, or is this really true? I tried making ADR for the morning of check out (big breakfast, then hit the parks a few more hours before heading home). He said "but you are checking out on the 24th, correct? You can make a reservation, but you do realize that this will not be covered by the dining plan?" When I asked 'why' , he told me that the credits expire midnight. I tried to explain to him that this meant the night of the 24th, but he refused to budge!

Keep in mind, this is also the same CM who told me that the parks would be closing at 7:00 on the 11/20/06 because of the Christmas party! Well, I looked EVERYWHERE to see if this was true, because I wanted to go to the MVMCP, but there were none scheduled for our week. I can find no record of a party on the 20th.

I think the Cm was confused. We were there a few weeks ago, and used CS credits for lunch after we had checked out, and also used up our snack credits at DD before heading to the airport.

All three times I used the DDP my credits did not expire until midnight of the day I checked out. I think your CM was confused. I dont' have a dining brochure handy, but unless there has been a recent change you need to be checked out by 11am and then your key to the world card is good until midnight of the day of checkout, parking passes are as well. You may still use the hotel pool , disney transportation, the only thing that is different is that length of stay has been replaced with the MWY but if you have a 5 night 6 day vacation and paid for 6 park days you still get to go to the park that day as well.

they expire on midnight of your check out day, not midnight before checkout.

Definetly confused cm. As others have stated your credits expire at midnight on the day of check-out.

I think that CM is VERY confused!

You get one set of dining credits per person for every NIGHT of your reservation.

Say you were checking in on the 23rd and checking out on the 24th. According to that CM all your credits would expire at midnight on the 23rd? Yeah. Right.

And that bit about the parkS closing at 7 for any party? Even if there IS a MVMCP on the 20th, that in NO way affects the hours at the other three parks!

Don't worry, this is not true, it is 12 midnight on the day that you check out.

On our checkout morning we used our last 4 TS credits as well as about 5 snack credits for bagals and such for the airport/plane! Have no fear, you are covered until midnight of your checkout day.

Yes (and no). The answer you were given was incorrect, but I wouldn't call him an idiot...just uninformed.
