Wow, I wish they had that in Boston! Just a side note: I noticed that Avenue Q is on that list. If parents are considering taking their children, I strongly suggest you look into plot/lyrics. It's pretty dirty.

Do they only do this once a year? We are going to NY in March.

Hi. My son was also four and a half when we took him to see beauty & the beast. He LOVED it!!!!
This is only done once a year. Last year they did it differently- it ran for about 4 or 5 weeks, once a week, this year they are just doing two days in a row.

Some shows only have the special kids night pricing for 1 night. Some are the 30th and some the 31st.

Awww, thanks! Joey's birthday is the 31st--he claims he's turning 35 again:)

Also--I just saw this on Mousesavers and it said ages 6-18 and then when I checked the website for the deal it also said ages 6 and up. Bummer:(

are the ticket prices offered only for kids? I am confused- I guess it is just too early in the am...my dh & I would love to take our daughter if we could all get tickets at the price offered.

You get 1 free kids ticket for each adult ticket purchased. But when you check out you will be charged 1/2 price for each ticket. We bought 4 tickets for Tarzan (2 adults, 2 kids). We were charged $56 for each ticket.

why am I not getting this?!??!? LOL So if dh, dd and I want to go we would get 4 tickets in total-2 at $55 each and 2 free?

starwood

You will be ordering 4 tickets and getting 2 adult and 2 children's tickets. You can always take one of dd's friends (that is what we do). The cost would be $55 for each ticket OR $110 each for 2 tickets. The kids tickets are considered free but instead of charging $110 each for 2 and 2 free they charge $55 for each ticket. Clear as mud right?

Our total looked like this 4 tickets at $56/each = $256 (including handling charges). Tickets are normally $110 each.

Seriously I was temporarily brain dead there for a moment! I have been trying to put together a trip to NY for Christmas and it has been so bloody crazy! This just throws a whole other aspect into the planning! To think I just wanted to take dd for 1 day to do the American Girl thing...Thanks for the help though, I really appreciate it! Patty

That stinks that Lion King is at 8. KNOB used to be earlier times so the kiddos could get to bed at a decent time.

Can someone help me? When I see the drop down menu that says select a show, it says Broadway then a space, the Off Broadway. I click Broadway and nothing happens. How is everyone ordering tickets?

Yes I see what you mean...earlier today when I ordered, you would click the drop down menu and it would list the various shows. That isn't working now.
I know the site said tickets would be on sale Friday-maybe they changed it so you can't buy tickets till then? I would keep checking back if I was you. Good luck.

Looks like the site is getting POUNDED!!!

Yes, yesterday they removed the individual show links so people could not buy before the sale "start time". Luckily I had the pages I wanted bookmarked! :thumbsup2

In any case, DS and I will be seeing Beauty and the Beast!! :cheer2:
I have been wanting to take him to see it for a while now but didn't want to have to pay full price for him. This price BEAT my discounted prices that I was getting too.

We are down in the front and smack dab in the middle.

I AM SOOOOO EXCITED!!! Now I have to try to wait to tell DS until next month. Not sure if I will be able to hold out telling him.

Of course those were the two shows I was going to try for.

Maybe I'll look into the BOGO Color Purple offer.
