Loew's has upgraded their website reservations page. It looks good and is easy to navigate. The problem is there are no dates available for APH or AAA rates! I hope this changes.

There used to be AAA rates on the Universal website, but you are right - they aren't there anymore. I used the AAA website this morning to make my reservation, and I was able to get the lower rate.
I went with HRH, but now I'm thinking I should go with RPR. :confused3

I just noticed that. I was checking for next July. I know it's a little early for APH, but I thought I'd at least see some AAA rates.
I do like the way you can check availability for all three hotels.

I just made a reservation on the Universal website using the AAA rate last Friday (for 6/07). That's strange that they took them off.

Hi all,
I just booked a deluxe queen room at the hard rock for $247.00, through the aaa website, for August 2007. I think I received a good deal??? Comments welcome! :cheer2:
I tried to check rates today as well and noticed that they weren't available. I imagine that the drop down box will eventually have AAA and APH in them. I hope so anyways!

Is there any reason that the new site does not offer the same deals as the old site? Also, for the APH discount, does one only have to purchase 1 AP or does everyone in the party have to have one?

No clue about the lack of AAA and APH rates on the new site but I can tell you that only 1 AP is necessary.

My secretary :surfweb: fooled around yesterday and let all of the APH and AAA rates get taken so next week's stay is going to cost $229 instead of $124. :confused3

Thanks for the links, Damo! I'm really not too comfortable with change. The new site is cool but no AAA or APH is not cool.

Hi there,
I just successfully managed to book HRH during Sept 2007 using AAA discount on the new site. This wasn't working a few days ago. They must have just added it.
Stephen.

I just tried and it wouldn't list AAA rates. I'm looking for Nov 2007 but just for the heck of it I enter some Sept. dates and it still wouldn't work. Am I doing it wrong? :confused3
How did you get it to work?

Hi there,
This is what I did:
1) Went here - http://www.loweshotels.com/hotels/orlando_hard_rock/default.asp
2) Clicked on 'Check Rates & Availablility' on the left hand side, this opened a new window from which you can make a booking.
3) Selected Check-In 'September 21st 2007'.
4) Selected Check-Out 'September 28th 2007'.
5) Selected 1 Room.
6) Selected 2 Adults.
8) In 'Promotion Code (if any)' entered 'AAA'.
9) Entered my Lowes First number in the 'Lowes First #' box.
10) Click on 'Search'. This will open a new page with all the available AAA room types.
At the top of the rates descriptions it says 'AAA MEMBER DISCOUNT MUST PRESENT VALID AAA ID UPON CHECK IN RATES SUBJECT TO RESTRICTIONS AND BLACK OUTS' and the rates given are the AAA rates and are approx 20% less than the standard rate.
I hope this helps. Let me know if there is anything further I can do to help.
Thanks,
Stephen.

Hi there,
I just checked again and I now don't seem to be getting any AAA rates. I guess I got lucky when I booked.
Have you tied using the old site to book?
Thanks,
Stephen.

That one is giving AAA rates either. Oh, well.

I already booked my room for the summer at the AAA rate but noticed that I can't find the AAA rate anywhere now, not on the Unversal site or the Loews site. If they don't offer it anymore, I hope it's safe to assume that my AAA rate for August will still be honored. That's one of the main reasons I'm staying at PBH - the great AAA rate! :confused3

It is offered, just not available online. I called the other day to see if it had been lowered from when I booked. It was still the same but the super savings rate was lowered and they switched me over to that deal and left my loews first upgrade in place.

Thanks damo - what is the super saver rate? I'm not familiar with that.

If you go on the online reservations site and are staying more than a few days, there is a super saver rate where the longer you stay, the more you save (or so they say!). It is listed along with all the other rates, you don't have to ask for it or put any special code in for it.

Thanks. I didn't know about that. We usually stay 7 nights at the AAA rate, but I never saw a super saver rate before.
