Hello all...Just back from the 11/26 - 3 day Wonder....do you think they will ever fix the soda machines on Deck 9....always neat and clean but the soda either tastes watered down or way too much syrup.....something quite a few people were talking about....secondly, the new format for the Castaway Club really in my humble opinion...the pits.....warm canned soda....Mickey Mouse crunchies....just not what it should be....otherwise, a good time was had by all.....

Warm soda and Mickey Mouse crunchies - do you mean at the CC reception/party? No more free green drinks and the like? Bummer....

Tom, that is terrible. we are going next month and I was looking forward to more than warm pop and Mickey cruinchies. Plus a broken pop machine on deck 9. :furious:

I hope that you and the others took the time to write your complaints on your comment cards. :thumbsup2

If not, PLEASE take the time to write and let them know how you feel. If enough people tell them, perhaps they will change this. It's a sure bet nothing will improve unless we speak up and let them know how we feel.

now it's time to tell DCL about it, plus tell them the good stuff, we all know theres a lot of that too!!!

When did they change the
CC club reception!!!

I know they have a lot of repeat cruisers,

You're right about the CC reception. It is the "pits". I wonder if it is only like this on the 3 day because they don't get that many repeat guests. We were very disappointed!

Yes...it was the 10/26 Wonder....and we did make our comments know about the soda situation as well as many other cruisers.....we are going on the 11/25/06 Magic....so hopefully the soda is better on that ship....and the reception may also be different on there....hopefully, otherwise we would not go back again to that reception. Don't get me wrong...it was a very nice time.

We just got back off the SS Members Cruise and it was the same thing.... Sodas and Crunchies. So I guess that is the new format for that on the Wonder cause that was a 4 day cruise. It might be different on the Magic since the cruises are longer....

Tom,go to the top of this page and click on cruise meets.
The scroll down until you see our thread, It's clled the wild turkeys and dancing banana heads. Plus the date is there.
we will be close to the top half of page because people post a lot on the thread. I will try to get the exact link to post for you If I can figure out hoe to do it.

We were on the Magic 9/16-9/23 and same thing... warm soda and crunchies... They showed clips from different Disney Cruise events and had a trivia meet and greet. Overall I was VERY dissappointed. For the amount of repeat cruisers there should still be the hot food and cocktail drinks.

They changed the CC reception as of the 10 night southern. It was our first time being CC members, so we were very excited about it. Good thing DS wanted to go to the club at that time, he would have been completely bored!! He did like the Mickey Crunchies we brought back for him, though.
And I liked the pens they gave you...nothing fancy, just the type of pen I like.

I hope everyone has taken the time to write DCL and tell them how disappointed you were at the party. They need to be told that this is not acceptable.
They cant read our minds, so please tell them so maybe we can get this fixed before too many people have to be disappointed on their cruise.

Just let DCL know exactly how I feel and how so many others feel about the Castaway Club reception....so everyone get on the bandwagon and tell them...maybe they will change it by the time I get on the ship on 11/25/06.
