What are state laws for syringe disposal in Florida? I do not want to bring my dirty syringes home.
Specifically, can I tape up my puncture proof container and put it in trash or do I need to bring it to a medical facility for special disposal?
Thank you in advance for your response.

If you are staying onsite ask housekeeping for a sharps container. They will bring it and you just leave it in the room when you check out and they take care of the disposal. At home I use a sharps container but have used a plastic bottle and sealed it after with duct tape and tossed it in the trash. I really don't know the actaul law. My docs have never mentioned any special method nor has the pharmacy and I have been on insulin for 23 years now.

Do all onsite Disney hotels have sharps containers? If so, is there a charge for them?

Never been charged and each hotel I have requested them from housekeeping has had them. A few times I didn't even have time to request. The housekeeper noticed the insulin vials and just put it in the room.

This will be my SIL's first travel experience since her MS diagnosis, so the sharps thing is a new experience for all of us. How do we dispose of the sharps container?

Leave it in the room and housekeeping will dispose of it.
