Same Aug. '08 trip this is am EMH but we've ridden several rides already and have now made it to the entrance of Fantasyland. I'm impressed it's still this empty but it will not remain this way. Ya gotta get up early to enjoy a glimpse of this.

Ours is the yellow car. We even got lucky and got a magical moment. The parking attendant gave us front of the park parking. (There were only like 20 of these spaces for the whole lot).

A few years ago we were the last people out of Epcot. It was kind of funny--the CM's didn't rush us at all, but as we passed each group, they radioed our position to the front gate. When we got to the gate, there was a bus waiting to take us back to our resort. I would imagine it was there "just in case" because they couldn't have known if we were resort guests or day guests!

Empty Disney just doesn't look the same. I suppose it would be pretty special to have the place pretty much to yourself, but I love the atmosphere that comes from having all the people. It's weird but I feel that waiting for the ride makes it more special *** you know it's not something you can easily do. If you can go on the ride over and over it loses the magic. Plus I am not a morning person so I could never hope to make it to the park when it's that quiet.

Haven't seen any disney parks completely empty, but about a week before The Wizarding World of Harry Potter officially opened, a group of friends and I were in Orlando for vacation and Harry Potter land was secretly opened that day. It was busy during the day, but we went back about a half hour before the park closed to get some last minute souvenirs and it was completely empty! :) Unfortunately I forgot my camera that day, but it was one of the coolest experiences of that trip.

I am stunned! The park looks so different when there are few people there, it seems like there is more magic then! I wish our next visit will feature some time when not many people are there, it must have felt like you really live there! How nice!

Maybe for you but psychologically for me it would just bring me down. It's like going into a store that is about to go out of business. It's easy to negotiate but it just screams failure to me. To each his or her own I guess. :)
