The only way I know how to do it is by uploading your pics into another site, like Photobucket, and then using the link from there. When you put them on th PB site, there's 3 codes under the picture, just copy the IMG link in to your message...;)

Good grief -- that sounds so technical. I will give it a try. Thank you so much for your assistance. :thumbsup2
OK -- here I go . . . here is a picture inside MK's Emporium (September 2006). . .

Nice picture! Glad everything worked out.
BTW...when was it this empty? When I'm in there it's usually packed.

Thanks! I was there around the 10-14 September 2006. I can't remember which day or what time it was. I could not believe how empty the Emporium was. It didn't really phase me until I got my pictures back!
Thank you so much again, senecabeach, for teaching me how to post. You rock! :cool1:

Love the pics, even posted some myself. But does anybody else feel kind of sad when you see these? I realize they get busier as the day goes on but we actually like a lot of people-kind of like going to a movie being a lot more fun with a big crowd.party:
Keep them coming please, I'm just sayin.

Here's one of us when we entered the Magic Kingdom early to have breakfast at the Crystal Plaza. It was so great to have no one around!

well, this is obviously empty because everyone's at Disney. :thumbsup2
Which is where we will be next time, too!! :lmao: If I would have done a little more research, I would have found that we could have done three Disney parks for less than two Disney and one Universal. But Universal is DH's favorite and since he's paying.....wellllll........:rotfl: However, unfortunately for him, he had a bad time there and was very disappointed.
This might be good for me the next time we go. I have been to Disney twice. The first time we only did the Magic Kingdom. This last time we did MK and Epcot. Seems like I get to add a park each trip!! :lmao: I'm trying to talk DH into heading back down in September for our anniversary with no kids and staying on Disney property. We'll see how that goes!!

Where in Universal Studios is this?
This is in the San Francisco/Amity area. According to the map, we were on The Embarcadero - heading form Jaws toward Earthquake.

yeah, sorry. i'm new, got carried away and tryin to catch up :) i held back from posting the USF and Disneyland ones at least.
most were done during normal park hours i think (i usually go off season). some of the MK ones came from MNSSH in 2005 when all the park areas were emptied out. a lot of the DAK ones were taken after park closing. the SSE one was done before 9 am (security let me into the park to get the shot) and i think the american adventure with the tree was actually taken during the yuletide fantasy tour.
i can easily give specifics on individual photos.

Yep, Epcot.
Don't worry, my DS (10) took the picture and thought it was MK at first.

When were these pictures taken? I'd love to go to DL whenever it's THAT dead! It's a 6 hour road trip for me, but that'd be worth it!

Ah, gee-now that I've seen DL, that reminds me-DS has some beautiful pictures of Main Street in DL without anyone except his band. When he worked at DL, the only time his band could do a "Dress Rehearsal" was when the park was closed. Someone was able to get some beautiful shots of an empty park as the sun was coming up and the band was rehearsing in front of the castle. The pictures are on a CD that was given to them, I wish I knew how to post them.

okay, well.. to be honest... i'd have to check the time on that particular photo, but i'm pretty sure it was done well before park opening and i was just shooting through the iron bars.

the fog made the photos unique. It also made for a great surprise for my daughter. This was our 1st day at WDW and she wasn't able to see the castle until she rounded the corner on main street. She tore off down the street (as you can see in one of the pictures). I'll try to post the video.
These pictures are from this past Sunday morning. I took them after reading this thread just before I left.

We did eat at CRT for breakfast at 8:05 and it was an incredible feeling walking down mainstreet with just a few other people. We were able to get a few pictures with no one around, but later that day, lots of 60 minute waits:eek:

We were there Dec 2 for breakfast at the castle before the park opened. The park was FAR from empty, they were getting ready to tape the Christmas parade. If I had turned around in this same spot and took a picture you would have seen what seemed like a thousand people in Christmas gear waiting for the parade. I was very excited to get this one with no people.

Lovin' these pics of empty parks in September. I'm planning a Mother/ Daughter trip for then, and it gives me hope for low crowds. :cloud9:
My next 2 trips are mid-May and the end of June, so it looks like early character breakfasts are my only hope for empty parks during that time of year, but if I get lucky, I'll be sure to takes some pictures!

I love looking at empty park pics- that is my favorite time to go- it has been a science to me to find a good time. We used to go in Oct and it was great- but then with all the talk of the F&W- more and more people are starting to attend- we have been to 3 F&Ws and the first one- in '96 was DEAD! But each time after- it started getting a bit more crowded. So we gave up on Oct.
We then went at the beginning of Dec 'o4 and '05- our mistake- Pop Warner- did that 2 years in a row-
then in Sept '06 we almost narrowed it down ( I will do the week right after Labor day next time- we went on the 16th)
and then, we also tried the Monday after Thanksgiving through the first weekend in Dec '06 (left right before the Pop kids were going to arrive - so that wasnt bad either)
I would stick with Sept though- even though its hurricane and love bug season- its not the "crowd" season!:thumbsup2

As for narrowing your search down, I also agree that early September (right after labor day) is the best time to go . The time we usually go is the last week of August, which is just before we go back to school. In the future, I think we will push it back a little bit and go in the middle of September. From looking at all of these great pictures, I think it may be worth a couple of days of missed school. :cool1:

I have noticed that alot of these pictures are when people have early morning ADR's at CRT. When you book that, they let you into the park nice and early and that allows for some nice picture opportunities.
At EMH, even though it is supposed to be empty, it still is moderately occupied. The best chance to get empty park pictures during EMH is at the VERY end. :thumbsup2

I love all the pictures posted.
However, I must admit, I love visiting during regular, peak and summer value season.
For me, crowds are part of the fun. I don't mean we enjoy waiting in line. We refuse to wait longer than 20 minutes for any show or ride.
The busy chatter adds to the fun.
Standing in line at the resort waiting for the bus to arrive. Of course this is the point when my son decides he needs to run back in for one more mug refill.:upsidedow As soon as he enters the building, our bus pulls into the resort.
Listening to everyone on the bus discuss their plans for the day. What rides to hit first, where we're dining, which characters we're hoping to see... :dance3:
The excitement that is in the crowd while you're waiting for the gates to open or for the rope to drop.
The laughs as you all rush (walking not running:rotfl2: ) to TOT, RNR, Splash Mountain, Test Track, Safari...
I just love the happy energy that fills the air during our visits.

I wish I could go during "off-season" and have the parks all to myself!! The only times I've been to WDW was March and July, and an upcoming July/August trip! Now, I LOVE the heat and dont mind the crowds, but it would be awsome to not have to wait in the standby line for an hour and a half because the fastpasses were all out (you see, we arent morning people, and cant wake up early and gt to park opening,, hah! go figure!)

Yea, Monday December 25. It had just poured for like 3 hours and thats when we arrived at VWL. A sign on the road said MK Closed due to capacity but we checked in and went anyway. When we got there it was still raining and the bus lines were incredible leaving. It stopped as soon as we got to BTMR which was already no wait. We even stopped at Liberty for the XMAS feast which had been booked full for a long time but we got in quickly.:wizard:

Various Low Crowd Pictures from late Sept 2005, late Sept 2006 & late Feb 2007
My favorite WDW vacation so far was Sept 28 thru Oct 3 2005. It was our first. We never got to opening, were only there for 5 nights, but it was the best trip ever....low low low crowds never used fastpass ever...never waited more than 15 mins...it was great.
I have decided it is worth three unpaid days (I teach) to go on the off season
we went this month and it was chilly and crowded and we were exuasted because we were up so early and stayed up so late!!
Got only half as much done as we do in Sept...and even August!! CROWDS
And they were not even THAT bad...I can't imagine Christmas time:scared1:

We were at WDW last week and we said "Never again at spring break" Crowds were unbelievable. We were at MK on St. Paddy's Day and you couldn't even FALL DOWN!
I, like DISFAN, am also a teacher, and I also have decided that it is worth unpaid days off from work to go in an off season. Next trip is the week after T'giving. Should be a good one!
We had an 8:05 AM ADR for Crystal Palace on our last day there and were at the rope drop for Liberty Square. We rode Haunted Mansion with 4 other people and got the ($&@ out of Dodge! We got some good shots of Main St and the castle, though. I can't even remotely figure out how to post a picture so you'll just have to believe me! :-)

Did keys to the kingdom this past trip and we took a pic with main street basically empty...but then had to put the camera up because you can't have one on the tour.

I think you can tell why Epcot was almost empty in this shot. Taken on our honeymoon, Sept. '99

Yeah the tour is great!...and affordable. You get a discount with the chase visa, plus it includes lunch at Columbia harbor house. Lots of fun and informative. It didn't hurt that me and DGF were both able to take a really cool empty park pic infront of main street.

I told myself when I went last trip that I would go, but COMPLETELY forgot. The day we make reservations for the hotel and tickets I will book the tour.
I really want to see the ultidoors. It is really hard to believe that most of MK is on the 2nd and 3rd levels!

The utilidors were the main reason we did the tour. They were pretty cool, when we finally came out I had no idea where we were in the park. You'll have a great time on the tour!

How do you get some of these wonderful pics. we did the segway tour, so we were in epcot before opening, but weren't allowed to walk around. Do you just do an early table service in the park so you get in early? And the ones at night are beautiful, but how long does it take for the parks to get that empty. We've always been in the mad rush to get out of the park and back to the resort (and crowded busses and pushy people). I'd love to 'wait around' and get some beautiful shots like these.

We got to go into the park before opening to fill out a survey. It only took a few minutes, and then we could go into the park. There was no one else on Main Street:

I believe that you go through a certain entrance with your ADR and to waste time (if your early) you can take pics.
They cannot close the park if someone is in it, so just wait around in a store or something until it clears out. I plan to do this next trip. :)

The real story is the angle of view does not show many people. And it was during the school year WAY back in 1986. Things were alot slower then.;)

well since we won't be there during free dining, i don't think we'll be doing any adr's so we'll have to stick around at the end of the evening. i'll tell you, some of these pictures are so wonderful. i can't wait for our trips (we are going in august and then again in december to see daughter who'll be doing the cp).

This was from our trip in November of 2003. Around Nov 9th I think. We were so spoiled that year with low crowds that we decided to come back the following year at the same time. We did, but there was some type of special rate on rooms for the first few days we were there. We didn't have all days like this one during our 2004 trip, but for the days in Nov of 2003, the parks were all like this! It was wonderful!

Ever since I told the folks that we're going to WDW, my dad has been emailing me old photos of trips I took as a kid, and the most striking thing to me is how deserted the park seems compared to what it's probably like now (I haven't been there since probably '82--Epcot was brand new). When I was a kid, he worked for Disney in a division unrelated to the parks, but we got in free. I even got to go in the tunnels without a tour guide--I can't remember what my dad's excuse was, but he managed a way to have a work reason to go down there, and he took me with him. I think he was pushing the limits a little bit, but I'm glad I got to do it.
Here's me meeting Mickey (a cropped version is in my sig) mid-morning in July 1976. I love how there are just two kids dropping by to say hi to him!
http://mamacate.typepad.com/photos/chartexamples/catewithmickeymousejuly.jpg
Here's me and my mom a few years later--there are still people in the background, but still, it was likely school vacation time and midday. Things have changed, I think I'll find next week...

DH and I usually watch the fireworks from behind the castle b/c not many people are there- after the fireworks instead of rushing down Main Street- we wander through Fantasyland- over to Liberty Square- all the way to Adventureland- It is SO peaceful- You can't even believe that there is a stampede rushing down Main Street b/c it is so quiet back where we are!!:lmao:
Sometimes we stop at Caseys and have some fries and watch the crowd of cattle shuffling along.......moooooo:lmao:

They are in African to the side (next to) Tusker House. We love to eat and watch them. Or get a drink from the bar and watch them in the afternoon. Our day kind revolves around seeing them. We usually watch them after festival of lion king while waiting for our safari fast pass time, then after the safari and walking the trail we eat lunch and watch them again. DD loves to dance to their music and runs up there every chance she gets!:rotfl:

We usually watch them after festival of lion king while waiting for our safari fast pass time, then after the safari and walking the trail we eat lunch and watch them again. DD loves to dance to their music and runs up there every chance she gets!:rotfl:
OMG- I always try and stay out of the way so they don't want me up there! Our last trip in Nov- SIL and BIL got picked and they were out there for what seemed like forever- I would die!:rotfl2:
