What H? I could be mean and say why are you calling me Helena too :p
Okay that's bad... that is one of my names.
As for the minivan. I am very certain on that. They have ONE huge issue for me. Lack of manual transmission. Can't buy a minivan that isn't automatic. Plus I hate big cars. I've always owned compacts. I just don't feel safe driving something big. I tried looking at a small SUV, and it's just too much for me.
Little cars it is for me!
We won't get a dog, Luis won't go for that again, but we already have a house in the 'burbs... it's not that minivans scream "MOM" They are just too big

Okay I like the Pooh ride... I fear my kid will outgrow it before I will :rotfl:
Doth not protest too much... give me a minivan that isn't the size of a bardge and I'll look... give it to me in a manual transmission and I'll buy ;) But the idea of going from a Civic Si, to a full blown minivan... gack that would be a car accident waiting to happen for me

Congrats on the baby; good luck staying out of a minivan. Mine has almost 200,000 miles on it and I'm hoping that when it dies I'll never have to buy another! But I do enjoy being able to have my kids bring friends along. You learn A LOT when you're the carpool mom!

Wikipedia word for the day. Barrister.
A barrister is a lawyer found in many common law jurisdictions who principally, but not exclusively, represents litigants as their advocate before the courts of that jurisdiction. In this regard, the profession of barrister corresponds to that part of the role of legal professionals found in the civil law jurisdictions relating to appearing in trials or pleading cases before the courts. However, barristers, as a profession, are also known for specialising in certain areas of the law, and for giving advice in relation thereto to clients referred to them.

And ladies, can I join you in your leisure?

Lou, I actually have that shirt.
I drove manual transmission Toyotas and loved my small car, until the second child was born. After 15 years of Taurus station wagons, I am back into a smaller manual transmission Vue. I did make it through without a minivan but settled for the big station wagon instead.
BTW, I'm in.

Oh heck no... this chick will NOT buy a minivan! Trust me!!! Right now I have my sights set on the Civic Si sedan.
Famous last words there! We call ours "the very expensive double stroller carrier"..... but we  it! Drives like a car, holds 4 carseats, 2 adults and one preteen. Also the automatic doors are very useful when you are lugging babies, diaper bag, purse, shopping bags etc.
The bad part is that it is so big that you can't reach the baby from the drivers seat (unless you are really tall) however the good part is that on long car trips when DH is driving, I can crawl to the middle or back seats for "on the fly" diaper changes or feedings.

Twinkie has told us to brown some ground beef about 20 minutes before he comes home. Add some garlic and onion. No matter what, he'll think "Mmmm, sumpin' good for dinner..." I'll add: Vacuum the carpet 15 minutes before, throw a lode of dishes in the dishewasher 10 minutes before. Brush your teeth and spray a scented body spray on yourself 5 minutes before. Finally, the mail/school papers clutter pile on the kitchen counter? Put it in the oven. :thumbsup2 Act out of breath like you are doing 5 things at once (you just were, right?) ;)
Who needs to "go out" when there's ground beef with garlic and onion waiting to be turned into spagetti sauce?

I'm not sure, but I think I've seen that movie
:lmao: :lmao:
And I think I much better suit the Sandra Dee image (minus the blond hair) but was thinking of the gal in the movie with two ponytails...the one who was a bit pudgy. I fit that too with the round face and all  But that was where the whole no bangs thing came in :sad2:
It'll probably end up being one.

And how did her presence get you a suite? She wanted your cheap room? :confused3

I was mistaken as her sister :confused3 At one point an older couple commented about it to me on the elevator and we all laughed. They asked if I would pose by her life size cut out to play a joke on thier friends back home and I agreed. So we get over to it and I stood there and smiled. Well instead of just the older couple taking the pic there were lots more flashes!
I freaked out and ran back to the elevator and hid in my room untill my DH was done with his meeting. I was afraid I would see my pic in the National Enquirer for weeks
