Booking vacation ?

We just bought into DVC and I'm wondering just how difficult is it to get into a resort other than your home resort? We were told that we should book our home resort at 11 months and then at 7 months call back and see if we can switch - is that the best way to do it? I'm assuming so, since it definitely makes sense. TIA!

yes that's the way to do it. That way you at least have a room. Depending on the time of year you want it could be tougher to switch.

We bought at SSR. We are so excited too!

That's right. I bought into SSR in February. We stayed there Spring Break and loved it. We are staying at the Boardwalk during the week of Thanksgiving. I actually was able to book it 6 months out. I look forward to vacationing at all the resorts, but I must say SSR is wonderful and I can't wait to go back!
