My home is BCV BUT we want to stay at Wilderness Lodge NEXT Dec. 2-7 in a 1 bedroom, do people ever "trade" points? For example, if I find someone who wants BCV Dec 2-7 I can book at 11 months for them and if there home is WL they can book at 11 months for me?

I own at SSR but wanted to stay at BWV this December. Needless to say someone on the R/T Board had BWV points and we basically switched points so that I could book 11 months out. It worked great!!

When did you post what you wanted? Did that other person make the ressie for you or just transfer points to you? I am new to DVC and not sure of what to do next

I never posted what I wanted. I looked first to see if someone had what I needed and she did. She transferred the points to me as BWV points and I was able to make the ressie the following day.

But based on the new rules, you would not be able to transfer your points in exchange. Ie. you can't transfer in and out in the same year. How did you arrange that?

I am thinking that if I find someone, they can book for me at VWL and I can book for them at BCV. Anyone with VWL points want BCV for next years Food and Wine Festival :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I was able to trade reservations with a HHI owner for my BWV so he could get a standard view. I wanted HHI during a bust time and the same was the case for him, so trading reservations worked well for the both of us.

I did post what I was looking for on the rent/trade board and eventually found someone. I don't think you will have a problem at all as a BCV owner.
