I love the fact that when I went last Dec it snowed, it doesnt do that at WDW!
I love that it was my first Disney park some 12 years ago
I love that I can leave work at 16.30 on a Friday and drive there, may arrive at 3am but it's worth it!

Yep, it was my first proper Disney stay too - a quick day visit to the Magic Kingdom doesn't really count! So I wasn't making any comparisons with any other Disney park - I just enjoyed it for itself.
I love the fact there is a choice of wonderfully themed onsite hotels, within an easy and pleasant walk of both parks.
I love the dragon under the castle!
And I really love the fact that it's even close enough for a day trip when I need a day off!!

I don't fly so I love that I can experience Disney without having to fly.
I love that it's just a few hours away.
I love that it's pure escapism.
I love that it's in France and you have European influences and a multi-cultural experience.
I love the great restaurants.
I love the amazing layout of the parks and the great attractions.
I love the hotels, the Cheyenne in particular with it's unique theming and layout.
I love the happy atmosphere.
I love it all!

Where do I start?!....top of my head!
I love......
the first ever time you walk down Main Street.........(mine was in the evening when it was all lit up in the Christmas season and their was a chill in the air)....the background music....the feeling that you know the place but have never visited...like you have seen it a thousand times before on tv/films/in books etc etc and you finally feel as if you arrived somewhere you have been waiting to visit all your life...the overwhelming feeling of joy and excitement....how you have a plan to start at the left and work clockwise but in all the excitement of your first time you just run to the shops as you love the souvenirs....you run to the characters...you run to the Castle and Frontierland or you just cry tears of joy as my girlfriend did!!! The first time is emotion after emotion!! Dare I compare it to the birth of your first child?!!!! lol
I love........
the first time you walk down Main street on your latest trip......the feeling that you have been away for a while but now you're back home....and then the excitement again that makes you wanna head straight for the shops and to Frontierland!!!
I love........the feeling and atmosphere. The cold in winter and everyone snuggled in hats, scarves etc while the gentle lights light up main street. The friendliness of the cast members. The feeling of happiness and escapism whilst you're there. Like you're in another world with no worries or thoughts of the 'outside' world!! Everything is Disney! Everyone is enjoying themselves. What a happy place.
I love.....The theming. As a graphic designer the attention to detail is absolutely amazing. Its a shame so much is missed and ignored. Its truly magical. I bought the book about the making of DLRP and it allows you to see things that you don't even notice when you're there! I don't believe you have EVER seen everything at DLRP.
I love.....Frontierland. My favourite land. I was brought up on western films with my Dad and the theming here is amazing. You look around and you feel you're there. When its dark the atmosphere is amazing. You can even smell oil and the animals. Whenever I arrive in DLRP I make a beeline straight here and feel an overwhelming feeling of happiness that over the next few days its gonna be fun, fun, fun and happiness!
I love.....the rides and attractions. My faves are Big Thunder Mountain and Pirates Of The Caribbean. Amazing attention to detail. I also love Honey I Shrunk The Audience. The parades are superb especially at Christmas. The Christmas Parade makes you so happy inside. Fantillusion is spectacular.
I love.....the Christmas season. The decorations. The tree. Belles village. The atmosphere. I have always loved Christmas but DLRP recreates it as I have seen on American movies when growing up. Main Street at Christmas reminds me of childhood memories watching American films on tv during the Christmas school holidays. What a happy season!
I love....the restaurants! Mainly Annettes and Planet Hollywood. Everyone inside having a great time and letting their hair down after a long day. Fajitas and BBQ burgers my personal faves.
I love....the hotels. I loved Disneyland Hotel and the Castle Club but I adore Newport Bay. What a fantastic walk along the lake and through the Village. Lovely staff, lovely hotels and rooms.
I love....the fact that I will be there 3 weeks on Monday!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great thread :thumbsup2
I love it all  ~ the dragon under the beautiful castle, the yummy food in the restaurants, Frontierland, Adventureland, the fact it's so easy to get to ~ I can leave DLRP at half past six in the evening and be tucked up in my own bed before midnight ;) ~ DH loves being able to have a drink without worrying about driving, I love the way everything is so close together that there is no need to rush around :goodvibes
What a great thread :thumbsup2
DH loves being able to have a drink without worrying about driving,
:cool1: He's not the only one :teeth:
That feeling of walking from your hotel, round the lake and into the Disney Village, we always have to walk through all of the shops, even though we know they're all pretty much the same throughout the resort :)
When in Disneyland Park, the feeling of being a child again, and getting excited seeing all the little bits and bobs that have become special to you and who you're with, over the years.
The clock on Its A Small World
Pirates Of The Caribbean, what more can i say but Best Ride Ever
Oh there's so much more i cant remember, but will be getting a little reminder of them all at New Year so am sure i can add to this then :goodvibes

I love the fact that you can arrive there a tired jaded knackered out mother of 3, feeling like you are about 120 years old, cynically thinking that you will hate this capitalist nightmare of a place and then....
after about an hour you are frantically chasing characters around with your 4 year old feeling like you are 6 again....
after an hour and a half you are on your 5th go on "It's a Small World" singing the song at the top of your voice....
after one day you are fully dressed top to toe in Disney merchandise complete with Mickey ears....
when you leave you want to cry and immediately book your next trip!!!
It is truly magical.

I love ..loads... so be prepared.. :rotfl:
I love that it is so close. The journey time and time difference for the USA does put me off somewhat.
I love that you can walk everywhere .
I love that the park is so beautiful and all the little design features that have gone into it.
I love my first ride on IASW (I nearly cry every single time ! especially watching DD's reaction).
I love the fact there is music everywhere you go.
I love the catchy tunes .. IASW , Casey Junior , La La La La Animagique.
I love the characters.
I love that we all can all go as a family and all really enjoy our holiday as there are things all of us to enjoy.

I love the build up of excitement in your stomach as you walk from the hotel, past lake disney, into Disney Village (nearly there), through the ticket bays and finally YOU CAN SEE THE CASTLE :woohoo:
I also love that frozen eye feeling you get on Indiana Jones in the Winter :cold:
Seeing the Disney magic come to life as the parade creeps around the corner and you just feel swept up in it all.

:Everytime we go I feel on :cloud9: I used to dream of a place like this when I was a child. :yay:
I love the convenience of being able to walk from your hotel to the parks, the walk from the Cheyenne is very pleasant but one day I would like to stay in the Disneyland Hotel.
I love not having to cook for a few days and trying the different restaurants, there are still so many we haven't tried yet. :goodvibes
I love the castle with the dragon underneath, it's just so fairytale like.
I love seeing my childrens' faces when we see the characters, they are both quite shy and I found that the character meals are perfect for them. Cafe Mickey is always very good and the tea at Plaza gardens was much less of a scrum this year!
I also love the fact that it is in France and I can try and speak a bit of school French again.
I just want to go back now this instant. :Pinkbounc

I love Phantom Manor and the Pirates of the Caribbean ride
I love the look on my DD face when we walk into the park and she sees Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
I love the fact that I am going in just over a month!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

This is a great thread :)
I've only been to Disneyland Paris twice but i loved each time :) Highlights:
1) The circus parade in 2001, i have great memories of that and the song :)
2) The dragon under the castle and the "magic shop!" Disneyland Paris has such an intricate castle!
3) Skull Rock!
4) The storybookland boat and Casey Jr. That whole area is really fun :)
5) The Alice in Wonderland maze.
6) Eating breakfast on main street each day and having a chocolate croissant :)
7) Going back to main street later in the day to get another chocolate crossant ;)
8) Viewing the castle from main street and getting that awesome "Disney" feeling :)
9) Riding Pirates like 5 times in one day!
10) Walking around the Fronteirland Fort and admiring how detailed it is!

I love that the characters spend time with you and your kids, and make a fuss of them
I love the music playing in different lands and that the ground changes in context to where you are
I love going on rides that scare me, but feel great when I've done it!
I love feeling like a kid again, in the pit of your stomach, that makes you want to jump up and down
I love the little details, things everyone should have pointed out to them, on buildings and inside the rides
I love that they made it for us!! (cried when I thought of that on first visit to WDW!)

-It was my first Disney park when I was 8. Watching the videos makes me remember how magical it all was and still is :wizard:
-It's so close and great for a 'budget Disney fix' for those like me who can't afford WDW every year.
-The dragon under the castle
-The parade and music
-It's so manageable to tour, we barely felt tired our entire stay last time!

It's in France where we usually take our holidays!
Also because it was our 1st Disney experience it holds special memories. Of DD & DS in a parade complete with costumes . & the fact that all 3 of them believed in the magic!
