So.... The bass fishing excursion prices have increased ... dramatically ... :scared1:
From $240. per BOAT (4 people max), to $125. per PERSON !!
How lousey is that?? :confused3 and How much $$ is enough??:furious:
My biggest fear:
Is this a pre-curser for the "Specialty Cruises" to increase too?? :confused3

Guess the cost of fuel effects them pretty dramatically. Hopefully, they will drop their rates now that costs are declining, (for now anyways). Bet they go back up after the elections (just my conspiracy theory).

While gas prices might be the rationale used, my guess is it is much simpler. They are booking up the excursions regularly and feel that the market will bear an increase.
Bet they go back up after the elections (just my conspiracy theory). :rotfl: That probably is a better theory than most of the other ones!

You don't use near as much gas moving at idle as you do moving on plane.

It has already been posted on the theme parks board that the specialty cruises DID go up $25 for a price of $275.

I called about the fishing excursion prices and was told that they were incorrect. :confused3
I called about the fishing excursion prices as well, they are incorrect. The price went up something like $10 dollars.

Has anyone check OUTSIDE WDW for local fishing guides and prices? Fla has some of the best fresh water fishing in the country. 5 to 10 lb largemouth bass are caught with regularity. There must be other guides in the area.

We have a Wishes Cruise booked on Nov 4th so I guess I'll be finding out how much they have gone up. Looks like this will be the last one for us.
I think it was $120 in 2003, when I booked this year they quoted $200.
Yesterday, I was told by CRO that if you'd already booked, you'd be charged the old price.

That would be nice but I wouldn't count on it. We booked last year before the price increase, we took the cruise 1 day after the new price took affect and we were charged the new price.
So for anyone that has one booked, it is only $25 more but be prepared just in case.
