The lowest scorer is going to get a can of pork brains, but what will the high scorer get?
BTW, we are keeping track of score on the honor system. If you make up a score and I think you are fibbing, I am going to ride with your personally to check it out. :)
May I suggest free carpal tunnel surgery!?!?!?!
By the way, I have gotten 999,000 3 or 4 times on Buzz - of course i got 300 a time or two
as well.

Ewwwww! Pork brains!
I've never gotten the 999 score, but my mom did once. We thought the machine was broken. Then I read about this magic score! I've done very well at times and then I've really stunk it up at other times. I just never know. I could very well get the pork brains!
How about a free emu leg for the winner?!?!?! ;)

I have NO idea what this Buzz thing is all about.... .....so I am very worried about having to eat pork brains. :(
Maybe I'll get stuck in Fantasyland that morning. ;)

I have also alternated quite decent scores with absolute failure, which makes me a serious contender for the pork brains. As this is one of my favorite rides -- and my kids' too -- sometimes I did it three times in a row. I realize that some of the lasers are harder to press than others. Also, some of the targets are worth more than others. I particularly enjoyed one time when the ride got stuck and I could shoot around leisurely. Very nice!

I've never surpassed around 12,000 on Buzz. I'm laser-cannon challenged.

YUMMMM!!!!
Tia, I will share with you. The one and only time I went on this ride I think I got about 500 points. Had no idea what I was doing. My husband got about 300,000. I think my gun was broke. Yeah, that's the ticket. My gun was broke.
the highest I have gotten is in the 600,000's no way am I riding with you 999,999 types....and yuck on the pork brains!
For those of you that are unfamiliar with the ride, here's a quick explanation:
You ride 2 people to a car, all cars moving on this same continuous track.(like Haunted Mansion) Each person has a permanently placed ray gun in front of them. Each car has one stick shift to rotate and spin your car as needed. You move through the ride, trying to get as many points as you can by aiming and zapping the targets, which are the letter "Z" in a circle. There are some moving targets and some stationary. I have no clue which targets get you more points than others. I just put my thumb on the trigger and don't let up until the ride is over. And, as Livia said, if the ride should stop, just plant your gun on one target and just shoot. You rack up points quickly that way. Also, when we go through the "movie room", don't let up on the trigger. You get 100 points added a few times in there! It's a lot of fun and we've been known to ride it a few times right in a row, too. I do hope it's not too crowded then. The line for this one can be nasty. The last time we were there, they weren't using Fast Pass!
Hope this helped a little. Can anyone add any more? Thanks!

Just one addition:
You don't get any points for shooting the people in the car behind you, even though it's fun. :D

My 14yo son James has suggested that they add the laser pistol feature to "It's A Small World" to spice up the ride, especially for the teenage crowd that is forced to ride this with their parents and younger siblings.

Or maybe four baseballs for a quarter....
Awwwww, you guys are so bad. I love that ride. I don't understand why so many people don't like it. Even my own family gives me grief about riding it. But, we ride it every time. So, I guess that means they really do love me, huh??? LOL :)

I agree with Barb. :) IASW IS WDW....in it's own right. ;) My family gives me grief too....but we always ride it! :D I love this ride. Granted, I can only stand it once, maybe twice, but it's still a nice way to take a load off. ;) :D :p :)

La la la la la

It's a small world after all!
Now, where are those baseballs or laser cannons? :D
Maybe we should force the Buzz Lightyear loser to ride IASW 50 times without screaming.....

Here's my $1! You are all right, it is a very nice attraction, for the first minute..then i want to know how to get out? Shouldn't there be an emergency exit somewhere???
If we combined the rides, then it could be fun! Extra pooints for the donkeys in mexico!
Isn't it funny how these threads start out with one topic, then change to something totally different? We started out with Buzz Lightyear and pork brains and ended up at IASW!
Speaking of Mexico, that's another boat ride I really like!! The boys laugh all the way through that one, too! I think it's neat!! Besides it has almost nekkid men in the beginning!!! ;) ;)

Note to self:add boat ride in Mexico to itinerary!

I've even learned to sing "Jingle Bells" in counterpoint to "it's a small world." Now that's really frightening. Especially considering I can't sing......
Steve and Tia,
I am thinking you should do a little "room to room " caroling with IASW and Jingle Bells
in counterpoint. However Tia, I think I would wear a suit of armor if I were you!
See y'all soom!!!!

Corinne! That is a fabulous idea! :jester: I'll PM Steve ASAP and see where we can fit that into our itinerary. ;) It will have to be late at night, that way we can sing you all to sleep after a hard day's play at WDW. :D

ROFLMBO! :D
I don't think that singing IASW would put anyone to sleep! ;) It might just keep them awake and it sure would stay in their heads for the rest of the night!! LOL Just LMK when you're gonna do this and I'll be sure to watch for you two! (yeah, right!) ;) ;) That may the night I have to pull an all-nighter! :D :D
Tia and Steve,
I am also thinking that you stay at the persons room/door until they agree to;
1) give you money
2) buy you a drink
or
3) join you in carolling room to room (PLEASE NOTE: at least every other person MUST be
singing IASW for this plan to be effective!)!
I am sure that many would consider choice 1 or 2 a small price to pay!:D
After all, IASW is such a "catchy" little tune!!!
See you real soon!
Corinne;)
