Hi,
Well don't flame me but I for one think this is boooring lol. We just had Tron month which is pretty much space like and not that long ago Tomorrowland opened and we had many space things including space pins. Are they running out of idea? This is Disney come on let's come up with something fresh and exciting-got any imagineers? :rotfl2:

oooo... a football room... I want one :teeth:

If it is space month, I'm actually kind of glad it's a lack-luster theme next month..all this credit hoarding/cool stuff, have to be on every minute to keep up is wearing me out! I need a breather before Christmas.

Yea i kinda agree with bug. But i agree with Peasy too. I do kinda think this month will be a little boaring. But, i guess its a good time to get all my credits back!

I'm just wondering how that will fit in with the "Classic Disney" room that Yavn talked about for November. Hmmm...

Disney Dreams
10-20-2006, 01:59 PM
So, what's that mean?

Return of Space Mountain Room and Return of Space Suit?

In other words, "rewind codes to before Tron month" month?

Would love something a little more - hmm - Disney.

I agree with you, Bug. I am getting rather tired of Space things...they've worn me out with it, heh. Perhaps it lost it's novalty when they brought the tron items out (as I was not enthralled by that theme at all...)

...I don't know, but you would think, as they ARE working for a Disney company owned game, they would try to come up with themes a bit more into the Disney spirit...classic, that is. I know Tron is Disney, but let's think animated now.

As I questioned Yavn and QA_SuzyQT a while back on the questions thread, Winnie the Pooh items and theming would attract me directly back to the game (as I have found myself losing some interest in it).

I can see myself not playing much next month...space bores the heck out of me now. Ah well.

- yawn -

I like the tron room and the teleporters, but they are shoving space down our throats. The Inner Space pin series was cool, so was a lot of the tron things, but I can't see what else they can do with space. I want an old time disney movie month, like Snow White, Aladdin, etc.

Yes I am sorry I would have to agree I was so excited to find out what the next theme month would be. And when I read space I could see the air of excitement go away. My initial response was oh well not into space though I do like the space suit. I can not play any of the space games and win prizes.

I never did win the tron teleporters or anything tron that I could not buy so I have a room half done. Since I could not play those space games. If it it the same as tron month it will be a very boring month for me.

However I must say how much I enjoyed Phin's quest last night. One of the best I have done. And I did not need to ask anyone for help. I really enjoyed not having to play pirates to finish a quest. I really enjoyed myself last night.

Yes I to would love a classics month. Like we have Lumiere as the light what about other delightful Beauty anf Beast characters. I could use a nice clock.

Or more fairy tales. I would love to own a horse in VMK. Wouldn't riding a horse through VMK be so awesome. And I chose a horse because there are horse in the real disney world.

But most of all I would like a place to show off my pins and a closet for clothes. Though the new oraganized display helps. Also how about some Mickey or Minnie funiture. And most important where are the Minnie ears. She has been with Mickey for decades and she does not even rate a set of ears. Well I think the real reason is because it is too hard graphically for the bow to show up right.

Well there is my "nobody really cares about what I think opinion".

Ok here's what I think.. they are probably doing the Space Mountain theme because the DLR Space Mountain is getting another facelift with better music and better track pieces.. it's turning into Rocket Space Mountain or something.. but anyways, did anyone else think that they will probably bring back the rockets for this month? Maybe even the Tomorrowland 8/9 Pin.. If i was you, I might trade a few rockets away just in case :thumbsup2 I'm not really surprised that they are doing another space month.. think about it, testers have stated that Tomorrowland isn't finished, as Space Mountain isn't the only attraction in Tomorrowland.. someone was talking earlier about the "classic Disneyland room" that testers mentioned.. Autopia? ATIS? Carousel of Progress? Plus, we've all seen the Tomorrowland Quest pin that testers have been wearing right? Maybe a new tomorrowland quest? I have a feeling this month won't be as bad as everyone thinks.. remember, we don't know what VMK has planned, and we don't know what is to come :thumbsup2

Black Rockets as the new Green Throne? :lmao:

I think it would be great to get some more Disney Themed stuff. There are plenty of animated Movies to choose from... I wonder if there's some sort of licensing or other permissions issue going on that prevents those older franchises from being used in VMK... Eh, just a though.

*I* still like the idea of a Space Month Though. :goodvibes

I am up for a space month! I like the space stuff and since I was not around when all the rockets were out before, I think it would cool if they brought back a couple of the old rocket colors, space ride track would be totally cool. It would be even more cool if they incorporated Buzz Lightyear into it or stitch....from the calendar it looks like it is space mountain theme though...

Briar__Rose
10-21-2006, 03:26 AM
Maybe it's just the princess in me, but it seems like most of these themes are lately geared toward either a more masculine or, in most cases, a neutral audience. I, for one, would love to have a true Disney Classics theme, one that is appropriate for everyone but involves just a tad bit more femininity. Us girls deserve some fun, too. ;)

You have to admit, it would be pretty awesome to furnish your room with Cinderella's pumpkin carraige. And wouldn't you like to have a piece of the Beast's mansion for your very own spatial use? How about some pins featuring the adored Disney characters of yesteryear, male and female alike? Lastly, you've seen them planted on your next-door neighbor's lawn, so why not display your Snow White Dwarf statue for visitors to see?

Basically, if you haven't already noticed, the idea of Space Month just doesn't particularly thrill me, haha. I much rather prefer the classics.

Extra Girls Only costumes aren't enough? Girls get three dresses, Princess Tiara, and now Pink Superhero. Boys get a Crown. Wassup wit dat, yo? Where are the Boys Only Prince Ball Attire or Knight Armor? Or Dracula or ??? Why's Halloween weighed towards Girls playing Dress Up?

And yes, I know in the past Boys have Blue Baseball and White Wildcat Sweatsuit. I'm not arguing the the quality of items. Just the quanity. Like them or not, but when those Boys Only items came out the girls were released Only items (Cheerleader and Red Dress). So Girls are even on that score... And then got access to the Red Baseball (never did see a Omnigender version of the Cheerleader...). And you're still ahead this month. (Sorry, I'm a little bitter... :guilty:  ;) )

I'd so LOVE to see a Beast Costume (and I don't mean with a "monster mask") - The Blue Suit that he wears when when he and Belle dance to in the Ballroom to Beauty and the Beast... You girls get to dress up in her Yellow Ball Gown... Where's ours?

Hey, maybe the "classic" room that's rumored to be coming will be a Beauty and the Beast Ballroom! Wouldn't that be AWESOME!?! Yeah, I know it'll never happen...

But I am with you Rose... It'd be great to see some actual Disney Characters in the game... or even some other Disney costumes... We've got Mickey Ears and Goofy Hat... What about Donald? Minnie? Chipmunk Noses? Dwarf Hats. Yeah, tha'd be great! They could release a new 1000 credit hat each Saturday and Sunday during Snow White Month... Each hat slightly different (just like the characters in the movie) ... Then on the last Sunday have something special like an Apple or something...

Or how about some neat items from Never Neverland? Lots of Pirates and Injuns and Mermaid and Pixie stuff there to pull from! Or Dumbo Circus items. So much to choose from...

I have to say I agree.. for every boy only item, there is a girl only itme plus some.. here's what i mean..

King Crown - Princess Tiara
Wildcat Outfit - Red Dress
Blue Baseball - Red Baseball and Cheerleader

plus they have the dresses.. I would really like to see more boy-only items

Briar Rose, I couldn't agree with you more. Tron was bad enough for me and now another space month? Like the others said, I won't mind taking a break from spending credits but a bit more well rounded Disney themes would excite me more. Of course I'm a girl so I would love to be inundated with the fairytale castle princessy stuff but I understand that then the guys would be slighted. If you really think about it though, two months of masculine themes (tron and space) and if you count Halloween month as feminine (which I wouldn't just because a few of the girl items outweigh guy items) that is still an uneven number. I'm all about fairytales or other Disney classic movies. Then again, I know that this whole thing is centered around Disney making money and unless they are re releasing an old film or trying to capitalize on an attraction it is unlikely. A little mermaid theme would have been nice though?

That's exactly it! lol.. I wanted to be a Pink Bubblegum Man for Halloween.. I think that it would be hilarious (but stupid) if they made boy or girl only furniture or rooms lol..
Boy: Aww.. I wanted an Enchanted Rose, but their girl only!
Girl: Stop complaining you got the boy-only trash can for your room.. we're perfectly even
Boy: I wanted the Beauty and the Beast Ballroom Room!
Girl: Don't worry, you have the boy-only room from the movie know one liked or went to see

LOL that's how it feels now lol
But getting back on topic, I just read some of the events and the falling chairs event says that you have to sit on falling Space Shuttles.. maybe a new chair?

While I can certainly see where some of you are coming from, on not being overly thrilled with the coming theme. I was not expecting space month, but had not really given it much thought. I think some more Disney related themes would be nice, true. I think as always, we have to give them the benefit of the doubt. Tron wasn’t space and wasn’t really meant to be. While this follows close I can think of some things I would guess they might do.

- Release other space suit magic by quests
(look for green with 280 K on fireworks requirement)
- Re-release the space room
- Change the arcade Prizes back to what they were or something new.
- Could be a new arcade game
- More Tomorrowland 8/9 pins?
- Re-release of some of the rocket couches
- Could some items some disappear?
- Possible sale of space suit?
- Another opportunity to sell Tron teleporters?
- Could be more Tomorrowland?
- Space Mountain ride parts?

These are just some thought and ideas, who knows? It is difficult to say what VMK will do but as it is around longer I would expect some repeats with some new stuff Mixed in. While the theme can be a nice touch we really come for the games and the company and to see what new things they have for us.

LOL! Great post, Goofy_Bob. I wasn't exactly refering to the costumes in general, but moreso the entire package. I was absent from VMK for about two and a half months, and I must say, missing out on Tron wasn't a huge disappointment to me, haha. I wasn't crazy about the past Pirates theme, either. And now the Space theme is lurking around the corner? It just feels like VMK is being injected with an overdose of masculinity right now, 'tis all. princess: I do understand and agree with, you, though... knights armor and some outfit parts to match the crown would be nice! If VMK is going to give girls more color options or outfits, they might as well do the same for the boys!

I agree! It would be totally awesome! When I said VMK needed a tad bit more femininity in its theme, I didn't mean for there to be new items that are only exclusive to girls. I'd love to see a Beast outfit! So long as it fits the bill! ;)

Who knows, maybe VMK will create some unexpected things for both girls AND boys to enjoy when Disney releases "Rapunzel Unbraided." We can only wish :goodvibes

Gosh. Can't we have some funkylicious month, LIKE CANADIAN MONTH!

... Of course I'm a girl so I would love to be inundated with the fairytale castle princessy stuff but I understand that then the guys would be slighted. ...I wouldn't be slighted if they were even in what they offerred. I like Disney Magic. I am a full grown adult man, but I also like fairytale stuff. I love castles and dragons and unicorns and sorcery and witches and charmed roses and round tables and chivilary and swords in stones and elves and Three Wishes and fairies and Love's First Kiss, stone circles and Wuv, Twue Wuv (Princess Bride anyone? :teeth: ) and giants and talking lions and Happily Ever After. I'm down with all that. But for every Princess there has to be a Knight in Shining Armor or Prince Charming to wisk her off her feet! VMK needs to remember that.Ditto what Bob and Cap said . LOL! Great post, Goofy_Bob.Thanks!;)...Tron ...Pirates theme ...now the SpaceI love Tron. I love what VMK did with Tron. I have nothing bad to say about that... But I will concede that it's not for the Younger Audience to which VMK is supposedly targeted. I will also agree it's sci-fi nature is not feminine. I started in April. I didn't understand or remember the theme of that month. May I think was High School Musical and Baseball, if memory serves... I thought those were ok, though I'm not into HSM (but I get the marketting ties!). I totally loved the way they did the Red Baseball Costume Quests over Memorial Day weekend (though the Quests were very difficult since I hadn't seen but one of the movies and didn't know about disboards back then to get them). Pirates of the Caribbean month was a total disaster all 'round. I've ranted enough about that, so I'll leave it there. Water Park Month? Eh.

So I do agree with you... Some more Disney Magic is needed... Let's see some of the Classics! Heck, they had a Herbie and HSM promotion, but no Little Mermaid promo? Wassup with that? :sad2: I feel that! When I said VMK needed a tad bit more femininity in its theme, I didn't mean for there to be new items that are only exclusive to girls. I'd love to see a Beast outfit! So long as it fits the bill! ;)I'm glad your feelin' my vibe! Glad you're picking up what I'm puttin' down! Smellin' what I'm cookin' and all that jazz... :wave2:

I was under the impression that next month would be a classic Disney since we all heard about there being a Classic Disney room? Cap I am with you on a Cinderella room or her carriage...Wow how awesome would that be!!! And I am a Big fan of Beauty and the Best! (my two favorites are Cinderella and Beauty and the Best) Wouldn't that be so cool to give Goofy his Best costume! We already have Bells dress...and it would so sweet to see a BLUE BEST costume! I would just love to see more Disney theme stuff...costumes ... furniture...magic...Please if vmk is listening to us.!! :listen:

We keep hearing about all the new costumes and so far we haven't seen any.
Yes I have to admitt I like this month...as I only joined back in May so I didn't have alot of the costumes. But do now.... And love the new hats so far... so Thank You VMK! But we sure do hope we have some more NEW costumes coming out! So plz bring out the Pirate costumes and Disney Stuff...plz
So in the mean time guess we all will just have to wait and see if they will surprise us with some really cool stuff that Yavn keeps talking about! :confused3

I think Snow White would be great for both genders. Of course you all might not like being a dwarf :) Really any of the princesses would be great for both genders as well as having more Mickey and Minnie stuff besides the Mickey ears.

Well now, Space as a theme, hmmm - what a concept? I love it - I do, I do. Thank you kindly VMK. Since I am an amateur Astronomer and I have been into Star Trek since Sep66 (when it started) and Star Wars (which it what is at DLR - Star Tours, of course), Space is an ideal thing to have as a theme for November. What better way to get ready for Christmas than to be spaced-out the month before and then come down back to the wonderfulness of Christmas on VMK in December?! Tron was awesome and I got lots of Tron Stuff (check out my Tron Room). So, in November I shall get lots of whatever Space stuff they have and be feeling out of this world and enjoying every minute of it. Thank You Very Much. Then all of us can more than enjoy and get all the Christmas stuff that VMK has. Up, Up and Away to all the Space Stuff in November. :dance3: Happy Happy Joy Joy.......

- New Space Suit Quests (Pink, Green, Yellow)
- Space Mountain Series (all of space mountains from Parks)

Ride Pieces:
- Space Mountain tracks with rockets as ride pieces
- Space Mountain track loops

Lots of possibilities with Space Month, but somewhat limited on Disney Themed stuff based on parks.

VMK SO needs a Toontown and Toontown related items, IMHO. Are you listening, game developers?

They have fire-windows you can get from toontown

Gosh. Can't we have some funkylicious month, LIKE CANADIAN MONTH!
Or Europeans. Or cultures in general. From what I've seen on the DIS and VMK, people need to learn to respect different cultures. I'd glove a Disney Classics month. Lady and the Tramp and Cinderella are on the top of my favourite list, no question.

OMG!! That is such a great idea! Im totally up for that!

Will black rockets be the next green thrones???

Woot! Even better than that, they are buyable for 500 credits.

A few days ago, i was in a trade room and saw two people arguing quite feverishly over whether black rockets or purple rockets were the most rare. The debate is over. The answer is: "No."
