WDWTrekker 11/18/01 Day 2

Let me start with a few reminder introductions. The troop consists of DW Cindy (aka: Mrs. Trekker), DS 14 YO Josh (aka: JPTreks), DD 11YO Katie (aka: Little Trekker (fondly known as Blondie)) & me (aka: WDWTrekker).

Started out today by driving to the TTC and hopping the monorail over to MK for our very first breakfast at Cinderella’s. This is a very cool place to eat; the atmosphere is like being in a medieval castle (go figure! LOL). The kids (Mrs. Trekker included) thought this was a lot of fun.

After breakfast we headed over to Space Mountain, only to find it closed (broke down). The CMs did not know how long it would be, so rather than let this get us down we headed over to Buzz for a little target practice. I bet JPTreks that I would beat him, I scored 331,000 – he had around 37,000. It felt good to wup up on him. LOL

After Buzz we went and checked on Space Mountain again, it was up – had a 40 min wait posted, we decided to go for it. It really took about 20 minutes from the time we got in line ‘til we were done.

Headed over towards Splash Mt. – I was able to con JP that we should go on the new Pooh ride on the way. He’ll never trust me again. Finished off the morning with Splash (sign said 25 mins. - could not have taken more than 10 - 12 mins.) and hitting a few penny pressing machines.

Made our first grocery stop on the way back to the Dolphin, and then used the afternoon for a very good cause – watching football. (ACK! Those Packers).

Headed over to Epcot for a wonderful dinner at Alfredo’s in Italy. Then watched Tapestry of Dreams. This is an amazing show, if you have never seen it – I highly recommend you make time to do it.

Next was the Illuminations – reflections of Earth show – all I can say is wow – I think I saw this show before, but I do not remember it being so awesome. I have some photos of Tapestry and really hope to go back and video both Tapestry and Reflections.

See you on day 3!

Thanks for the great trip report! I think you forgot to mention who your "favorite" princess was during your Cindy's breakfast. (I promise not to tell Mrs. WDWTrekker!)

Did you feel "rushed" at Cindy's? I read a few reviews about this recently. Thanks!

Misty - not at all, We were done eating and had the bill in our hand before we saw most of the princesses. Our waiter said no hurry just relax, he brought more coffee and juice and asked id=f he could bring anything else.

I think because the food was served quick and the bill was brought some may feel rushed, but just let your wait person know you are not leaving until you see what you want.

If I liked girls, I'd have to agree with you on Princess Jasmine -- she's one hot looking princess! I can't wait to read Day 3 of your trip report (I'm going to look for it now).
