Do they still give these out in parks?

What do you get them for?

I have never seen one, any pics anyone?

Have heard about them but want to be noisy.

We got 3 in September. My sons each got one at Epcot for doing some silly pick up games. They said junior janitorial. At AK we walked into Dinoworld where they have the games and a CM asked if we wanted to be the family of the hour. We got a certificate, got to play a free game and the kids each got a toy. We also saw CM doing a game at MGM but didn't have time to stop.

I got one last January when a CM at Epcot found out that my future husband and I had just gotten engaged. We also got a phone call from Minnie!!! I don't know if they do them anymore.

We got one on our trip. It said "Magical Moment" but was still on Happiest Celebration on Earth certificate instead of new YOAMD (but I'm not complaining). We got ours as a family for getting to ride ToT again! :cool1:

Sorry I don't know how to post a pick. My DS got one in Dec. He was chosen to conduct the tour in the house of the future at Innoventions. He was the only child in the group and the only one to raise his hand when asked if anyone had been through it before. The CM let him tell about most of the stuff and he pushed the buttons, ect. When they exited another CM was waiting with a MM cert.

DH got one at Cinderella's Royal Table last week on his birthday! What a hoot! Cinderella had signed it personally, so he decided to get all the princesses to sign it--and then as many characters that could fit autographs after that! It is now framed and sitting on his desk here in our office! :rotfl:

It, too, was on of the Happiest Celebration on Earth ones; I haven't seen one for YOMD yet.

My husband and I got a certificate for it being our honeymoon. We got it from Linda at the Crystal Palace(in MK) and it was signed by Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. :) Here's a pic with the certificate:

My son got one at Peco Bills. We were just sitting eating lunch and a cast member came up and ask if he would like to be Sheriff for the Day! They had him stand up on his chair and put a badge and a hat on him before announcing to the whole restaurant he was sheriff for the day! He got a certificate (don't know how to post pictures sorry!) the badge, and a huge slice of pie! (His favorite part!!) It was truly a magical moment!!

My dh & I received two during our trip in May '06. We got one from the agent I made our trip reservation with (I told her we were going to Disney to celebrate our 15th anniverary) and when we checked in the front desk went bonkers when on their computer screen that there was a "package" for me. You should have seen them running around trying to find the package. :rotfl2: That one looked like the one makinorlando posted.

Our second one came one night at dinner. We were having dinner at Trail's End (we were staying at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campsite) and struck a conversation with our waitress (she was the sweetest thing). We told her we were celebrating our 15th anniversary and she left our table and went to the kitchen. A few moments later she comes back with a certificate (like the one weirdtigger27 posted) and a small strawberry shortcake (which was soooooo good!)

That really made our trip special.

I got one that looked like this in April of this year. We were at the Luau celebrating my birthday. Our server was great!!! She also brought me the recipe cards for our dinner signed by the head chef. The small tokens were great but the dancing the hula on stage...er...let's just say a Hula dancer I'm not!

We had a lot of Pixie dust during our trip. It was an amazing experience (except for the one CM who I will complain about on my own thread!)

My DS4 & DS9 both got the certificates for being Honorary Vikings at the ride at Norway in Epcot (and we got to skip to the front of the line and ride the ship all by ourselves.)

My DS4 got one at AK in Rafiki's Planet for it being his first time touching a snake.

Our family got one from AK at the Safari and we didn't even know it until we unpacked the stroller at the hotel. They had filled it out and put it in while we were on the safari. It said "most prepared family for a 2 week safari." I started "yelling" at my DH for not telling me and he had no idea either. Cute!

My DS4 also got one for being a Pirate Captain on the Pirates of the Carribean ride. We got to skip to the front again and he was given a treasure map. At the end of the ride he turned it in to the CM who also gave him a parrot filled with some gold coins and pirate stickers and tatoos.

We also received YOAMD laynards at AK. Which lead my DS9 to pin purchasing and trading. Good marketing there!

It was just amazing and we are very grateful to have had so many special touches!

Our kids received a few last week...

They were selected to open "Indiana Jones" by coming down on stage and saying "lights, camera, action!" DD was wearing her "my first trip" button, and I think that is why they were chosed. (This was one of the best things that happened on the trip, and both of the kids are still telling everyone they see about it!)

DD received one for finding the hidden pickle ornament on the Christmas tree in Germany in the WS.

DS and DD each received one in Canada in WS for finding four particular stuffed animals the CMs had hidden around the shop.

I keep thinking there was another one, but I can't remember. I'll have to check the papers I brought home and add to the list if there was something else. We alse saw a little girl get one at Mama Melrose's. I don't know if it was her birthday or she just was selected at random, but she got a big platter with ice cream and lots of toppings to make her own sundae as well as a chef's hat and the certificate.

Our DS4 received three.

1. 10/26 Epcot Jr. Professor at HIStA
2. 10/30 MGM Hand Print done in front of The Great Movie Ride (was VIP)
3. 10/31 AK at EE. Wasn't tall enough for ride (he's 2 inches too short) but got to see the video room where the CM's keep an eye on the tracks. Got to see where the track switch is done as well :)

We got 2 on the last day of our 10 day trip (10/2/06 - 2nd day YOAMD):

We were chosen to be "Family of the Day" at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe - we were taken to a special table and they brought our food to us like a TS (I don't have a pic of the certificate, but here's us at our special table):

http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a180/kaylieandlaurensmom/Disney%202006/100_0729-1.jpg

DD7 was chosen to be "Pop Star of the Day" - she had her name written and hand traced in a roped off area in front of Pop, and was given balloons and a special certificate with a picture they took of her. Again, no pic of the certificate, but here's a pic of her in her "special place of honor":

My DD got this at Wide World of Sports last year. There were no events going on and we were the only ones in the shop. She and I were browsing the gift shop there and the manager asked her if she was having a nice vacation. He then gave her the certificate and offered her choice of two pins from the showcase. She has the pins attached to the certificate, one in the upper right corner and the other in the lower left corner. My wife was at the dialysis clinic in Celebrity at the time and we were just killing a little time before we went to pick her up. It was a special moment for my daughter and the manager in the gift shop truly went above his call of duty.

We'll be back in less than 3 weeks and we're really getting excited about all the Disney Magic to see at this time of year.

My son declined to ring the bell to open the store at Old Key West one morning. The next child who came in got the certificate for that one!

He did agree to decorate the tree at the Christmas shop in Magic Kingdom later that day. The CM gave him a basket of ornaments which he put mostly all over the bottom of the tree, she wrote his first name on a little slip of paper that went into the plaque on the tree, proclaiming that he had decorated that tree that day, and she gave him a little certificate that he was SO thrilled about. She also gave him a little glass mickey head ornament and also threw in a heart shaped Ariel ornament that he just loved. He really enjoyed that experience.

I am familiar with the certificate for waking up Tinkerbell, but am surprised by some of these others. I am wondering if they are just tied to the whole YOAMD thing? I mean, a lot of these seem like a case of being lucky, of happening to be in the right place at the right time, instead of something you could ever plan for. Does this make sense?

We are going in Feb. '07 with my two DS's as well as several nieces and a nephew. I'd love to have them get some of these certificates, but other than trying to be first in Tinkerbells Treasures, and being the first to lift the mat at Muppets 3D, is there anything else we could "plan for" to get a certificate?

TIA for any help!

If this is your DD's firsat trip, be sure to get a FIRST TIME pin. CM look out for these pins. This pin is what swayed the cm to pick my wife and I. It was her first time at WDW.

We received two on our trip in August for the Happiest Celebration On Earth.

The first one was "For showing uncommon valor against pirates and helping to find Captian Hook's hook!" This one was handed out after we finished our Family Magic Tour.

The second one we received was at the Liberty Tree Tavern. We were selected to open the restaurant for dinner by ringing the dinner bell. We were also given the opportunity meet the characters as a group.

The ones I saw were big round buttons. I think my stepdad got them from a bell services guy, though it could have been another CM. I think they are giving them away at the resorts - it's just a matter of finding the CM that has them to give.
