I know what you mean about being limited...we are 5 also & it would be nice if all the mods had the trundle beds so you could have more of a choice.
We have stayed in both the Poly & the POR. POR was nice but I'd choose the Poly if you can afford it. I am actually jumping back from BC to Poly...Nice decisions to have though!!!

We'll be there August 12-18 2007!!! Can't wait! We are going to be at ASMo. We were going to do POR, but my kids outvoted me because they loved ASMo so much last time! They're young, so I think they will get a kick out of it! I was looking forward to a mod this time, but oh well. My DH compromised and went with a couple extra days down there for the price difference, so I won't complain TOO much!! We did book a preferred room this time so I hope it's better than our last location (we were in Love Bug).

We (me, DW, DD(9) and DD(5)) are thinking / hoping / planning on going in Aug 2007 sometime after FL schools are back in session. We normally stay at the Dolphin but part of me is hoping the free dining offer will be out there and that could sway us to maybe the Poly!!!!!!!

I'm still planning in my head for now, but my goal is to be there for my daughter's 7th birthday which is august 2nd. I know it will be hot and crowded, but I want to just take it easy and enjoy myself and not rush or expect to walk on to many rides. Maybe some time at the pool and enjoying Downtown Disney will be fun alternates to going to the theme parks. I will do as many ADR's and little-girl appointments as possible such as Bippity Boppity Botique, the Tea Party, etc. I also have a little one who will be 2 1/2. I think it'll be enjoyable and memorable! Hope to see y'all there. We'll likely be staying at Shades of Green.

We are attending a convention that is taking place at the Swan/Dolphin 8/2 - 8/4. We are DVC members so we're using our points for a villa within walking distance. We are reserved in a 1BR at BCV from 7/30 - 8/10. We are hoping to switch over to BWV at the 7 month mark. If we are lucky enough to be able to get a SV at BWV we can add 2 more nights. Yeah!

For the past 3 summers, DH and I have taken my 3 nephews along with us on vacation (in addition to my DS and DD) to a dude ranch in upstate NY. However, we have such a bug from our last trip to WDW, that all we want to do is plan another trip (all of us have only been twice in our lives!).

It looks like it's going to be a 2BR villa at the Beach Club. It's not going to be inexpensive, but we've already started budgeting for it. The 7 of us have a blast when we vacation together (they're all well behaved, fun kids) so I can only imagine how much fun we'll have together. My nephews have never been on a plane and have never been to Disney.

I've been reading all kinds of posts for best ways to stay "cool" in the heat and I'm going to keep reading. We have our heat & humidity in the NE, but I think we'll be challenged in Florida!!

Since you have been to WDW in August before I was wondering how are the crowds from the 15th on? Is it as crowded as April or Dec? Is the heat bearable. Well here is the situation, originally was going Dec 07 for xmas, (was there xmas05 and loved it), began thinking about how nice the weather was this past xmas and I got the feeling that we will probably have a bad one this year. Live in VA(Hampton Roads) and it would be just my luck that we get stranded because of ice or snow or flooding. So now I am considering Aug 16 - Aug 22, just wondering how hot and humid is it during that time of the year.
Either way Aug or Dec we are on our way to WDW!!

I posted with others in a long thread how to manage August a few months ago. Perhaps you could find it as it had all the right tips and tricks (managin time, get to park at opening, take mid-day break, use misters, etc.) Bottom line...

We were there in August last year from the 15th to22nd - it was free dining so yes, it was crowded, but not terrible- not like Easter. The main thing I noticed was more cloudy overcast days and more rain as compared to July. The good thing was the rain cleared out the MK one evening and that was great. Hoefully, even if they offer free dining it may not be as bad since so many people are booking after the 21st with the "code"
