We are going May 5th to the 10th and staying at POFQ

We are staying off site at a house www.tuscan-ridge.com. It may be a bit tight with 6 adults and 7 kids but we will have fun :banana:

Wow, we are mostly going the same week! And I thought it wouldn't be busy. We will be there May 3-10, staying at POFQ or POR (haven't decided yet, any ideas?) and BWV. I cannot wait, it's our first trip!!!!

I heard that POR has more stuff (pools, sit down places to eat). POFQ is the smallest place that WDW has. So if you like small POFQ. This will be our first time to stay there. Our ds can not wait this will be his 2nd time. We went last year for his 2nd b-day and now we are going to go for his 4th. Is on the 3rd.

How funny, we will be there celebrating my DD's 4th birthday which is May 1st!! Yes I like the smallness of it, and one main reason is DD 6 wanted to stay where the dragon slide is. I think that looks like more fun than Ol Man Island, don't you? Plus I like first drop off/pick up for the busses too. And I just think smaller will be better with 3 little ones!!

I hope we both love it there!

We are going 5/20 - 5/30. Staying at POP for now because that is where we stayed on our last and only other trip so it's familiar to us. If discounts come out then we are planning to change some nights to a moderate. I'm considering POFQ but DH wants CBR. We are going to DD 7 and DD 6. I thought they would like the slide at POFQ best.

The crowds are not that bad. we go the 2nd week in May and it feels like we just walk on all the rides that we want to go on.

No -- I've never stayed on Disney property before! But actually, I've only been to WDW once and for one day as an adult, so we don't frequent the parks like many others on these boards do. . .

I have an idea of what I want to do. MK first day since it is dd's first time there. Fantasyland first. I keep changing my mind on whether I want to have breakfast at the CP or CRT the first morning.

Is every one getting the park hopper pass? I thinking about that, seeing how we have a 3 1/2 (well will be 4 at the time of the trip)

We are definatly getting the park hopper. I have a 21/2 and a 5 year old. It makes it easy to leave after 1/2 day and then maybe go to another park in the evening.

Here's my dilemma. I have a park hopper pass from 2003. We have two or three days left on it. If we have three days then I will pay for 1 to 2 extra days at the parks but that gets pretty expensive. With my 2 yr old I want the most days possible.

Anyone staying at the Poly? :wave2: We're going May 2-6 and staying Poly Concierge. Can't wait! :cheer2: We did the exact same thing two years ago the first week of May and it was great! Good weather - plenty hot enough to swim every day (one of our favorite things!) but not nearly too hot. And the crowds were fine.

The one concern I have these days is worrying about the love bugs! There was a lot of discussion about them when they were bad in September and apparently they usually come twice a year - April/May and September. We saw none on our last trip but I always have to have something to worry about!! :sad2:

Hi all-
We subscribed to the May countdown thread but I just found this one.
We are going 4/30-5/9 & last visited WDW in 2000.
Just the 3 of us and DD will be celebrating 14th birthday a little late + 8th grade graduation a little early.

Made our ADRs and bought Cirque tix too (that will be a surprise for DD who is heavily into theater).
Of course we will likely change a few ADRs before we go. :rotfl:

I have family north of Tampa so will visit Mom day we fly in, stay overnight there and then do Kennedy Space Ctr before check in @ WDW.
Really TRYING not to do total commando style this time.
Even scheduled a "sleep late day" mid week which is just unheard of on any vacation!!
Now I just have to resist changing that for 6 whole months!! :rolleyes1

OK - everyone wish for the discount fairy to be nice to us!!
We'd love to move up to a moderate or get free hopper/water tix!!
