Our dollar is going down, so I figured I'd throw some cash at my reservations before the damage is too great. Called DCL, and they're happy to help me. They'll take all the money I care to give. Phoned Universal, and they want to email me a form I can fax back to them so I can make a payment by CC, or I can mail them a cheque. :confused3 If I phoned Loew's directly, would I get sanity, or still more nonsense? Has anyone had any luck just throwing the odd payment on their credit card?

Call the hotel directly. They will take a payment from you. Be advised that for some reason sometimes its a pain in the neck at check out with billing you 2x. Good Luck!

Thanks for the warning. All in all, it looks like I should dump my advance payments on other vacations. That's okay, though. Doesn't mean I don't still love Universal.

We used the fax option to make the entire balance paid off in advance. Actually, we e-mailed the info. It was processed in timely manner. We were even able to add an additional amount for our planned amount of room charges. Check out was easy and there was no double charge to the credit card. We actually got a partial refund since we did not spend the entire amount we had paid for planned spending.

two years ago i paid for my hrh stay in advance.
i called the number for the billing department and did it over the phone with my credit card.

i had a 6 night stay and had wanted to pay for it in advance.

no problems in check out by doing this.

I have paid in advance at RPR for the last two years. Call the number leave your info they will send the form. I have always just sent a check. No problem with checkout. This year I had to pay $7 over what was quoted. I think the taxes must have gone up because I booked six months in advance. No problem I had left a CC for express checkout. Sending the check really isn't as much of a hassle as you might think. Worth it in my eyes to know that the hotel is paid for.

sallyjane, i paid in advance but didn't have to pay the increased tax as i covered the room before the increase.

Thanks for the suggestions. I pay by credit card for the points, so paying by cheque (assuming they'd even take one from Canada), isn't really attractive. Neither email nor fax is a secure mode of transmission, so maybe I'll try the billing number. Does anyone know where you'd find the billing number for RPR? Thanks.
