Birth certificate ??

My 2.5 year old looks as big as my 4.5 year old - should I bring his birth certificate in case someone thinks I am trying to sneak him in as under 3 ?? (He IS under 3, just is large !)

I thought the same thing for our last trip, my DS turned 3 on our last day but already looked like a 4 year old! We were never questioned, we even offered to buy him a park ticket on his birthday but the CMs told me that kids are the age they check in at for the length of your stay. Whew! :thumbsup2
I didn't find it necessary to have it but if it would give you peace of mind go for it!

I would throw a copy in -you don't need a notarised copy- just to be sure. It is nice enough of Disney to allow under 3 in free so I don't mind showing them proof if needed. I mean they could go to Sesame Place's policy of only under 1 get in free.

I am taking a copy of my dd2's BC with us. If we don't need it, great. If we do, I'll have it. She is rather tall - 39" and talks better than my ds5. I don't want to have to buy her a park ticket or pay for meals that we don't need to since she is under 3 (she will turn 3 four weeks after our trip).

I am also bringing a copy of the birth certificate for my DD2.5, just in case. She is very tall for her age (39.5 inches at 29 months). I don't think I'll have to use it, but it will make me feel better to have it with me. It's no big deal to throw an extra piece of paper in the backpack.

I'd bring it. I was never asked at WDW BUT I was required to pay full price at another theme park once for the same reason. FYI, if you bring the child in sitting in a stroller they 'look' younger.

Maybe I'm just a worrier but, in this day and age, I'd be conserned about I.D. theft. Especially if they were to get a hold of a child's I.D. it could be years before anyone ever figured it out.

I wouldn't bring it unless you knew for sure you were going to need it.

We didn't have a problem at Disney. They asked one time (when it wasn't busy) and took our word. When she was 1.5 years old, we were asked to see a birth certificate on an American Airlines flight. Fortunately, we were told ahead of time to bring it so it wasn't a problem.

If you don't want to take a birth certificate, you can have an ID made your local license bureau that will have your child's picture and information on it. It's exactly like a drivers license - you can even say if you want them to be an organ donar or not. I have one for both of my girls, and I have used it many many times. :thumbsup2
