In Language Arts we're working on essays about leaders. We started to read our introductions so she could help us fix them up, and my friend started reading one about Walt Disney. My teacher just went nuts. She LOVES Disney. She told us how she goes at the veryyy least once a year. She's been to Disney in Flordia, California, & Europe. She pushes her kids aside to take the picture with Mickey. She went on and on, wasted about 20 minutes of class :P
So, I just thought that was very funny.

I would hug my teacher if he stopped in the middle of class to talk about Disney.
But frankly, speaking about Disney in french isn't as exciting and my teacher isn't that kind of person.
My ELA teacher is the same way, minus the french thing.

Yes, my language arts teacher is very cool.
But she's also very tough. We've had to memorize over a hundred vocabulary words in her class arlready, and No, I'm not exaggerating. We also wrote two essays in three weeks..
But she herself is pretty cool.
And I am learning a lot.

My ELA teacher is nice, but not.. well forcing work on us.
We wrote one thing for him to correct.
5 short stories to read and answer questions in class.
Reading log.
Journal (done in class)
and we're starting a novel study.

Today I asked him if I could borrow a book, and he went out of his way of what he was doing to try to find me something, he's really nice.

My teachers may mention it in passing. In history, we were told that even though Pocahontas is a 'factual mightmare,' it helps create interest in history. They don't ever mention parks though, which is sad.

That one is true.
If you get the time.
And don't find well crude humor (not nasty, but no Dis appropriate) you should check out Pocahontas Burned.

Today in history we talked about the little green men in toystory.

I was hysterically laughing for at least 10 minutes.

I wish my teachers talked about Disney =]

My English teacher is nice, I guess. We're reading two books at once: Lord of the Flies [my second time reading it] and Macbeth [Wow, I really hate Shakespeare]. Other than that, we've done maybe two essays. And we have 20 vocabulary words a week.
