I saw this on touring plans, the unofficial guide to WDW site. I'm not sure how accurate this info. is - haven't seen it posted anywhere else.
Anyone else know the scoop?
UPDATE Wonders of Life to REOPEN
There has been a stunning change of events - the Wonders of Life pavilion is scheduled to be open on internal calendars (meaning CMs are meant to be staffed at the pavilion) 11/26/06-01/01/07.
Epcot has reportedly seen a steady increase in popularity and crowds since Soarin' opened and the new Nemo ride is sure to bring in more of the younger family group, so perhaps Epcot really needs this pavilion for the busy holiday season. On the other hand, perhaps there is a pavilion in Future World scheduled to close for refurbishment that has not yet been announced.

Its just for the heavy Xmas season. Although nice, I don't think this is a major change for the pavillon. It will be dead most of the time. Hopefully, they tear down the place and put in something nice. Like Stormrider from Tokyo DisneySea. Hey, the flight sims are there already.

Another pavilion to close...that had better not be the Energy Pavilion!

I hope the open it up more on 2007 and it's open in May when I am there!

We were there December 3 - December 10, 2005, and it was NEVER opened. My son was really disappointed.
I loved this whole exhibit, we really hope that they reopen it full time in the future.

I'd love to see an overhaul done on Universe of Energy. There's a lot of space there. But no matter which pavillion they attack...look for Pixar. Mr. Incredible's Incredible Energy Adventure? I'm still waiting for Buzz Lightyear to pop up in Mission Space...

One rumor was a Monsters Inc re-do of the Energy pavillon. Makes sense considering the theme of the movie.

I thought they had gotten ride of almost everything inside the pavilion, except Body Wars, or at least the stores and the eateries.........I'll find out in December I guess.

Sometime this year I happened to be where I had a view looking over into that area. I had only been in the pavilion a few times, years ago. But it looked to me like someone had just closed the doors and left. Everything seemed to be intact. Shortly after that I read here how the place was being gutted. :confused3 Guess time will tell what is truth or rumor.

My understanding was that it had pretty much been gutted already as well. Oh well, if true it reopens the day before we arrive, so we'll see!

It is true the pavilion will open on Thanksgiving. I talked to my dad today and he was working on Cranium Command last night. :cool1:

I just hope that they officially close this pavilion down for good January 1.... and replace it with something better.

I will be in Disneyworld starting the day after Thanksgiving through the next week, and I hope this Rumor is true!! Even though it hasn't been opened for a while, I thought Wonders of Life was cool, although some people on here disagree :sunny: It would be fun if it were open on my trip, even if they close it down for good after that. :thumbsup2

According to someone on another site who has very reliable sources, WoL is not scheduled for any refurb or replacement anytime soon. Spaceship Earth is next, along with Canada's new film and a few refurbs for the countries. But, that is all Epcot will see for it's 25th.

We were in Epcot yesterday, and the pavilion was still closed up tighter then a drum. I asked a passing CM as well as a CM out in front of UoE, and got the same answer: "we don't know" what is going to happen to WoL. The passing CM said the center of the pavilion was already gutted. We'll be going again on November 5th, and again on December 11th. Maybe we will see something more concrete then, or not, or somethin'.............. :confused3

took my younger DDs last Chistmas season when the pavillion was open. Basically was like they just opened it up w/o cleaning or changing anything. Pretty disappointing. They both hated Bodywars. Cranium Command, however, is still super after all these years.....

I with you. We'll be there in May. It'll be the 3rd trip for my DD (she'll be 7 by the time of our trip) and she's never seen it.

when I was there last August , a CM told me they were using the pavilion for their for a daily meetings area before work, He indicated they had no immediate plans to reopen it.

The Wonders of Life Pavilion is not gutted. I was in there myself this past Sunday.
It will be open for 5 weeks beginning Thanksgiving through the end of the year.
Enjoy.

I wish it had never gone "seasonal" and instead had stayed open, but undergone an update to keep it relevant. KEEP THE CARTOONS AWAY, that's my opinion.

OK, if you are truly a CM, would you please tell us why CMs have been known to "stretch the truth", or just plain "tell a fib" about Disney goings-on? Does management tell you guys to do this, or is it just that some CMs like to make stuff up? Please realize that I am not saying that you, yourself, are not telling us facts, but as we all know, CMs have in the past, been known to let loose with a stream of "untruths". Thanks for the input. :thumbsup2
