Yes our friends did this but they had to pay tax and they won't get the passes until they get down there. For those who have AAA you get the same pass for $85.00 total and the actual ticket. Just sharing the info.

I might be at Universal for 2 days in March. If I buy the 7-consecutive days of admission for both parks now @ $85 + tax - will I be able to start using it in 2007? In other words - is there a date by which I have to start using the tickets?

AAA Chicago Motor Clubs are also carrying these tickets for $85 each (online through Universal website adds sales tax), and there is nothing on the tickets indicating when you must start using them. Think I'll get them soon, because there will probably be a different promotion in a few months, and at a higher price.

So these tickets could be used in 2007 or 2008? Sounds like a good deal!

Yep! I was on hold while the AAA rep called the company that sent the tickets (Universal, perhaps?) - and she said they never expire until you begin to use them. She also said they just sent back the 2-day tickets for ~ $110 - and couldn't believe how inexpensive these were. I may buy a couple extra for WAY down the road!
In all my many trips to the Orlando area, I've never been to Universal! My son and I spent a week at WDW last March during his spring break, so for his next spring break we're going on a roadtrip to visit the relatives, and we'll have 2 days for Universal/IOA. I almost always stay at the Swan or Dolphin for my WDW trips, but reserved 2 nights at the Sheraton Studio City for this trip to be close to Universal. :)
