Good Morning

Three-year-old Bobby has just learned to count to 30! He especially likes to read the clock when the numbers are in order. For example, he likes 3:45, which he sees not as three forty-five, but as three, four, five. Can you find all the times when the numbers on a clock are in sequential order?

Very Clever! I thought she was logging ON then OFF then ON...
I do the "Leave your light on ALL day/No LIFE" mode..... Very covert to make everyone believe I just sit here all day long! When IRL I am a productive member of society...(actually when I go outside or someone opens a curtain...I'm momentarily BLINDED from the bright light!!!!)

Me too! Utah! I call it the reverse stealth mode... the light is always on but sometimes no one is home... I also am logged in all night because I DIS while giving the baby his bottle (4th child... he sleeps in the office which is now the nursery except for we never really redecorated or decorated at all so it is the offery or nursice and has desk, filing cabinet, crib, 40 million board books) and then I put him down and sneak out leaving the window to DIS open and thus I can check on my favorite trip reports whenever he wakes up (1 am or 5 am depending on the day)......

Is this one of the riddles where the over-smart over-analyze the poor simple thing and spin 12 different angles (including ancient Romans and the Chinese New Year)and debate it ad nauseum?
If so, then I believe that someone once told me that the correct answer is

KENTUCKY.

But I don't know why. :confused3

Ute! This is me, only in my cube.
I sit all day with my fingers hovering over the alt and tab keys. Every time the door opens, I flip to another screen and hold my breath. The bad part is when I have more than one DIS window open, so flipping doesn't help me not get caught - so then I flip a bunch and am all red faced when whoever peeps around my cube wall.
I haven't even cleaned my desk since I got back from WDW. I'm evil!

No thank you.

And now for some useless clock talk.

Ever notice when a clock has roman numerals the number 4 usually appears as IIII rather than IV? That was probably invented by some riddler who also posts riddle answers.

Ever notice in ads for watches/clocks that nearly everytime they are set for 10:10 (or thereabouts)? Anyone know why? (There is actually a reason.)

:rotfl: :rotfl: Because several months back, Donna posted a riddle asking about Northeastern States or the Original Colonies (I honestly don't remember which one) and one of the answers was/wasn't Kentucky and there was great debate over the validity of the answer. So the riddle went on to some 400+ posts about this, going down as one of our more memorable and longest riddles.

That is where my tag comes from....and you're right, today's answer really needs to be Kentucky. I am still not IN and probably won't be unless someone sends my answers :teeth: This is too much thinking and I just don't want to today :rotfl:

But I will  Wooo Hooooty

Somehow, I knew you'd have something to say about Saturday's game. Yuck. Let's just say we are NOT a second half team.
Maryland is not a second half team either. Did you see the game the week before against Ga Tech. They were ahead the entire game and lost. I think UVA and Maryland both Reek. (Your words, not mine.)

Hmmmm :scratchin Would it have ANYTHING to do with the symbol
for "man": a circle with an arrow pointed up towards 2:00?

That's what I instantly thought of, so if I'm right...that would be a fluke.

Some Marketing genius (not me, some other one) was actually paid a lot of money for this....

10:08, 8 minutes past 10, is roughly the time analog watches are set to in most advertisements, though actual times shown vary between about 10:08 and 10:10. There are several reasons offered by watch companies, many of them psychological, and none of them verifiable as the actual origin of the practice:

The form of the hands has a positive effect on the viewer: the short hand pointing at 10 o'clock and the long hand pointing at 8 minutes is reminiscent of a check mark, which commonly means "ok" or "fine." Some observers further identify this appearance with a smiling face.
The position of the hands does not obscure the date on watches with a date-function at 3 o'clock or any other functions at 9 or 3 o'clock.
The position of the hands does not obscure the company logo, which is often printed under 12 o'clock.
The hands are nearly symmetrically balanced on the face of the dial at 10:08. The minute hand is 48° right of vertical, while the hour hand is 56° left of vertical. Exact symmetry would be achieved at 120/13 minutes past 10:00, approximately 10:09:13.8. Other symmetrical times would not meet the needs above.
At 10 o'clock in the morning, the day is young. There is still time to accomplish many things.
10 o'clock is the time at which people typically wake up if they are able to sleep in. 10:08 is thus associated with weekend, leisure and relaxation.
The only thing missing is how many Wooo Hootys have actually been attained at 10:08. :p

LOL Gram and riddlers....I missed all the fun.

I confess..i was watching that demoralizing show where a bunch of intelligent pretty women fight over some guy who really is NOT 'all that". Yep...the Bachelor. It's like a train wreck and you can't make yourself stop watching! :teeth: :rotfl2:

Hi Spikey...nice to see you.....can't wait for Sunday! :teeth:
