Well, actually we had just boarded the DME bus to head to WDW so we were technically still at the airport, but according to the Disney commercials, the magic begins with DME... right?

Anyway, we were the first to board and I decided to sit in the first seats. We sat there for a little while waiting for more folks to show up and load the bus, so we entertained ourselves by listening in to the conversations going on over the CB. We hear a bus driver asking how to get from POFQ to "somewhere"... some other Disney resort (don't recall right now)... anyway... another driver comes on and starts giving directions:

***Note: You have to think of this with a strong Spanish/Mexican accent...

Driver giving directions: "When you come out of French Quarter, go left. LEFT!"

Other driver: "Wha?"

Driver giving directions: "Ifa you goa straight, you willa not like."

***Of course the bigger irony would be that you would think these DME drivers would know how to get around WDW...

I can assure you if you come out of PO and go straight, you will not like the results! Lots of woods, retention ponds, and Bonnet Creek. Either way your gonna get wet!

WEBMASTERDOC on his DME trip this week had to help the driver find 2 locations to drop off passengers.

Mears must be doing some turn over as well and WDW has great general signage but as far as street signs they are non-existent so Mapquest and such are not really a help.

It's real easy to get turned around in the World.

Ive heard the radio chatter as well . it is sometimes funny. I heard one about an alligator and a broke down bus.

Last time I took Mears from the airport, I had to tell the bus driver how to get to the Poly (my roomie was picking me up there). Mears works with all of the Orlando area, and the drivers dont always work the Disney routes much.

Last Thanksgiving, our ME driver took us to Wide World of Sports rather than the All Star Sports. I believe once realizing that it wasn't a hotel he radioed for directions.
