Hi,

We are headed to RPH in February, our 3rd stay onsite. We have gotten decent rates so far, but right now the rate is $233.10 for AAA and $259 is the APH rate. Now how does the rate going down work? Is this automatic??

Thanks!

you have to call and ask them to change your rate, its not automatic. Keep checking the rates for your dates, they tend to change all the time.

How did you get an APH rate I didn't think they were out yet??

I put APH in the discount section when I was looking and got the $259. I don't think that is the actual APH rate and will "hopefully" go down.

A no the $259 will be the 'rack rate/seasonal rate' I have noticed if a particular rate isn't available, even though you typed it in, then it will default to the rack rate/seasonal rate.

Yes, that is what I was thinking. Now lets hope for a good APH or an AAA rate. I ended up booking AAA. When I went the two weeks ago, the AAA rate did indeed end up being the cheaper rate. Still love my AP though :thumbsup2

You guys remember to check the loews and universal websites for special deals, and look at ALL the rates offered ( scroll all the way down ) ! I just got the super savers rate of $287.00 King Club!! rack rate is $359 , AAA and APH are $323.10/ $323.00. I have saved us a little over $400 on our room alone. I always book the lowest rate I can find on www.loewshotels.com about 6 - 8 months in advance, then keep looking for the lowest price!
