Thanks for the info! Is there mold at OKW DW alergic to?

We are going to OKW for our first time use of DVC. My wife can get feeling real bad if fair amount of mold in room. She is concern with the OKW being around 10 years old. Just wondering for now. Going to be there on Nov 16 until Dec 2!!!! 8 Days Yahooooooo!!!!!!!!! LOL :bounce: :earsboy: :pinkbounc

I don't have a mold allergy problem, but I can say that we've stayed there several times since 1997, and I don't recall seeing excessive(or for that many any)amounts of mold.

My youngest is allergic to mold, among other allergens.

She's never had a problem in the 10 years that we've been staying at OKW.

I'm also allergic to mold and can smell it right away when I enter anyplace that has it. I've never had a problem in any unit at OKW. The ventilation is good and the units seem to be cleaned well.

Both my son and I are allergic to mold and neither of us had a problem on our trip to OKW in April of this year. It is possible that you could encounter a bad room due to past water damage or something, but I would bet that they would have done their best to fix anything that was needed and that it shouldn't be a problem.

I too have a mold allergy. I have never had that problem at OKW. Did have a problem with someone smoking on a non-smoking deck and having it waft into our room.
