Any one heard of this hotel - on the 192? Virgin have reallocated us to it because our original hotel is having 'building work'! With just over a week to go we're panicking a bit! Alternatively can any one recommend a clean hotel in that area or nearby at I drive? I would really appreciate any advice because I've got to go back to the travel agents tomorrow to sort this out.
PS Have looked on Trip Advisor - the reviews are very mixed.
After much trawling through reviews we have chosen the Quality Inn Plaza on I drive. It's a completely different area to where we were staying and Virgin agreed to wave the difference in price and the admin fees! Now I can get on with being excited again!

sorry not heard of that hotel - we are staying at Quality Inn International on I-drive for the 2nd time. That's located next door to the big mcdonalds at the junction of sand lake road.
hope that helps.

Is this (http://www.meridianorlando.com/) their website?
I guess that you are obliged to use a hotel with which Virgin Holidays are associated. Why not use Trip Advisor as a guide and review those hotels that are ranked better than the Meridian and are in the VH brochure.
If your booked hire car is not available you generally get a fee upgrade. Demand one from Virgin.
For Virgin to give travellers a week's notice of a hotel change is in my mind totally unacceptable.
One other thought, telephone the hotel you booked to see what's going on. Who knows, maybe Virgin are hiding a booking error on their part.

Trip Advisor is useful for reviews, however many hotels on there irrespective of where they are or how expensive often get mixed reviews - therefore unless anyone has stayed there it is difficult to advise.
Was your original hotel also in Kissimmee and do you have a car?

hi
stayed there several times when it was a sleep inn, very clean
great deluxe cold breakfast, fridge and microwave in every room. we loved it! from the posted link here it doesn't look much different to then except if you want to book independently now, they charge a heck of a lot more than when it was a sleep inn. please let me know how it is if you stay there. i would keep your booking. there is also a houlihans right next door. yum :)
