I just decided to do the dining plan.
We will be in WDW for 6 nights just after Christmas.
We also have a Disney Dining Experience Card.
Sooooo, when we eat at Jiko, Artist Point and California Grill, we plan to pay out of pocket for our children's meals, order a bottle of wine and use the DDE card to pay for these items. Save an additional 20% -- sounds good to me.
I think the dining experience will be great, especially at the fine dining establishments. The six nights will cost us $580 -- I just cancelled New Years Eve ressies at Narcoosees and made them at Artist Point instead. Narcoosees had a prix fix dinner that night @ $90/adult & $43/child -- not including tax & tip. Basically, cancelling this dinner just paid for half of the dining plan.
With a little bit of pre-planning, the dining plan can really work to your advantage!
