Disney reports double-digit increase in volume of calls to CRO since Oct 1

"Disney officials also told Travel Agent they have seen a seen a double-digit increase in the volume of calls to the Disney Reservation Center, located 12 miles from the park, since the Year of a Million Dreams promotion kicked off October 1. "We've seen a nice little pop in calls. We're happy with the pop," Bob Simmonds, vice president of Travel Operations, told TA during an exclusive visit to the call center Friday morning. And while Simmonds wouldn't divulge the exact percentage increase, he did allow that those calls have translated into a definite uptick in sales-goods news for agents looking to capitalize on the Year of a Million Dreams promotion in their own communities. The Disney Reservation Center employs about 1,500 people who take incoming calls from agents and consumers about possible trips to Disney World."
