We left the Mk at around 3pm, in the pouring rain (in our new ponchos!) and Marcus asleep in the stroller. Good thing we were parked in the first row. He slept all the way back to the hotel and for about 2 more hours, while DH and I planned our next trip. We were exhausted , but wanted to go out again (depending on the weather). We decided that since DS had a nap we would try to see TOD (Tapestry of Dreams Parade) and Illumniations. Got to Epcot around 7pm walked again on Spaceship Earth. this time I sat back and listened to the whole presentation. This is one of my favorite (if not favorite ) rides! Tried to go on TT, but it had a 45 min wait. We headed over to the World Showcase, since we were starving! The Food and Wine Festival was still going strong! We decide to eat at th US and hamburgers. This place was very good for counter service food. There was no wait and plenty of tables. We then went outside as the TOD oarade was about to start. This was AMAZING!!!! My DS loved it and we got a great movie of it! WE walked around the rest of the WS to the entrance to FW. We stopped there as Illuminations was abou to start. The minute it started, DS started screaming and we had to leave in a hurry!!!!! Oh ,well! Another magical day!!!!!

Sorry you missed Illuminations, it's one of my absolute favorite things in WDW. The music, the show, everything!

We were at the world the same day and got rained out of MGM about the same time you left MK. Our boys 2 and 4 were cranky so we stayed in the rest of the night and flew home the following day. I'm so jealous you went out to Epcot that night. We were contemplating doing the same thing but chickened out. My question is: What was the weather like? Did it continue to rain? Was it worth the trip?

Sorry you got rained out. The rain makes me cranky too. Last time we were there a bad storm came in just as we got on the monorail. We were stuck on the monorail for almost ninety minutes(we were at the MK station). the rain was coming down so hard we had to stay inside the monorail car.

We took a chance and I wasn't crazy about taking Marcus back out into that weather! It didn't rain the rest of the night and we wore just light jackets. It wasn't that cold to us and we are from south FL.

TOD is indeed magical. Was it the noise that upset Marcus about Illuminations? Too bad you had to leave early but you can see it next trip :)
