Guys & Gals, help if you can..

Ive never been on a plane in my life.. and with all the recent news about airport restrictions and stuff, my query is this..

We're flying out of b'ham int, on the 30th Oct, 12ish i think, how many hours in advance would you all advise, my ma recently flew 2 ireland and had to b there 2 hours b4.. is that suffcient.. or would 3 be more realistic. we've booked our tickets online but it never said how long b4 the flight to arrive.

It depends on the airline check with there website to find the minimum time required.

3 sounds fine, that way if anything happens you still have time to correct it its much better to be early then miss the flight.

Most airlines recommend at least 2 hours before but like you, we are planning on arriving 3 hours before. Don't know how close you live to the airport but you have to also think about and allow for any possible delays,etc on the way.

I'm always to excited and nervous of being late so would definitely be happier getting there up to 3 hours before hand :)

Check out your airport site,it will give a link to car parking.
We are paying £26 for 6 days at Nottingham East Midlands(pre booked or it would be £40), we would have been paying £37 at Doncaster, but Thomsonfly cancelled our flights and we had to go from NEMA, so prices vary from airport to airport.
If you pre book, you save a lot more and it is also cheaper then hiring a taxi or mini bus.
