driving from virginia

We are driving from va only 2 drivers. what are some good places to stop other than south of the border and what is the difference driving I-95 or I-85?
I pulled from mapquest and it routes me through 95 any other suggestions?

It depends on where in Virginia you are. We are in Northern Virginia by DC. The difference between I85 and I95 is I 85 is about 100 Miles longer. I have a son in Atlanta so I take I85 to Atlanta then down.

We outside of Richmond, and will be driving down 95 in February. I believe both Dillon and Florence SC have some decent middle-of-the-road hotels. I need to look into this too before then. Have a great trip!
