Was in local craft shop here in the UK, on Saturday with DW, and they where demonstrating the Cricut and taking orders, I know you can get it for $249 in the US ,so asked how much they where , wait for it! £285 equivalant to a staggering $500 approx. Told DW if she is wanting one she will have to wait to we go back next July

WOW $500 yikes. definately wait. I got mine with a 50% off coupon at Michaels so it only cost me $150. Plus I got a couple of catridges for 50% off as well. They were $45 with the discount.

Unfortunately, Mike's won't let you use a coupon anymore for anything Cricut. At least that is the corporate stand. Maybe some stores are still letting it slide through, but I was talking to the manager, and was told I can't even get my 25% employee discount :sad2:

Wonder if there is an online site that wouldn't charge huge international shipping...DW would be thrilled... :teeth:

I will never be able to justify the cost of this - love it and the idea of it but way too expensive for me.

That being said - with my new LSS job - I can play with the one at the store if I bring my own paper. :teeth:

Yeah, I couldn't justify it either...WAY to much for me, and I felt really selfish wanting to spend even when I knew I could get it at 50% off...

However, it is right up my DH's alley when it comes to gifties. I asked for it for Christmas, and I got it on Mother's day. The way he looks at it, it's a gift that keeps giving...he can get me cartridges for other things, like my b-day and Christmas...his shopping is almost done for him...not to mention cutting mats, and new blades...He is happier than a pig in poop... :teeth:

I have to say mine has gotten a total workout from all these swaps I'm doing. :love:
