Hello all, well I need to lose weight ( understatement ) and everyone has been passing along their diet plans,( you know what I'm talking about). Well I wanted to hear if anyone has heard of this diet. My neighbor, has a heart problem and she said the doctor gave her this diet to do and she has lost 30 pounds in 30 days ( sounds great right). The diet is : breakfast: 1 can chicken and rice soup , one slice of bread , lunch : 1 can chicken and rice soup and one slice of bread, snack: cucumbers and supper : 1 can chicken and rice soup and two slices of bread. Has anyone ever heard of such a diet, I can contest that she has lost weight but this sort of diet coming from a doctor just sounds funny. What do you guys think ? :listen: :listen:

I can't believe a physician would tell a patient to eat chicken and rice soup exclusively for a month. I'd get sick of it really quickly!

That diet is terrible. Having the majority of your diet come from canned foods is not healthy. Your sodium intake would be ridiculous. Not to mention, its not balanced at all, not fresh fruits and veggies, no EFA's, etc.

If you talk to 10 different people, they will give you 10 different diets. Most people tend to over-complicate diet and exercise, just stick to the basics and start exercising regularly and the weight will come off.
