I would be interested in this, too. My mom and I were wanting to host one of these this year--my brother just got married, and we thought it would be a good way to introduce his new wife to the people in the town where we grew up.
Thanks for any info anyone has!! :thumbsup2

I have never hosted one, but here is a site I found by googling "cookie swap party".

Hopefully the link will work, but I bet you can get a lot of ideas by googling it. Sounds like a lot of fun!!
I've been to a few of them with members of my moms club. The host usually has everyone put their tray of cookies on the dining room table. We all make 3 dozen cookies-- one dozen to share with each other for each of the guests to take home, one for the residents of a local nursing home, and one to enjoy at the party. Usually they also have some other hors de'vours-- I know I just totally spelled that wrong. They also usually have some wine, coffee etc. First everyone goes around the table with their ziploc bags and takes some cookies from each of the trays to go home. Then we go around again and make up bags for residents of a nursing home that we send them too. Then the last dozen that each person has brought is eaten at the party.
