I just got an email from my TA that Disney released a new package discount today, and she was able to apply it to my MYW Disney VISA package that I currently have reserved, and it saved over $100! Does anyone know what package discount this is? I'm not comfortable coming right out & asking her what the code was - but if I can get any more info from her I'll let you know! Maybe this is old news - but if anyone else can get this applied to their package that would be great!

Would you please let us know how many nights you had MYW booked for and which resort and how many people and which ticket, etc. Was this a AAA agent? Is it open to everyone or only AAA members.I checked the one on Disney and it wouldn't come up with anything but Fort Wilderness.Any help would be great. We have 2 rooms at AKL with AAA package and could always use any help. We're arriving Nov.8-14th and have 6 adults and 1 child,so as you can see we could use help. Our package is already paid, but I'd like some info to have my travel agent see if we could get anything off.Thanks.P.M me is you need too. :) :)

Since this code is good until 12/23 is it a fair guess that codes for Jan-Feb. won't be out until Nov.?

Tried to have new code applied, but no luck. CRO said there was no availablity for that code - either sold out didn't apply to my dates. Oh well. :confused3

WOO-HOO!!! I got to use the code. Pixie Dust all around me!!!

Not really sure HOW this happened! When the Disney VISA package came out there were no rooms available at the Poly for my dates. When the general package came out there were no rooms available at the Poly for my dates.

Called just now...got Poly - 11/18 - 11/25 GV room with 5-8 day park hoppers...$3470!!!

Saved $453 over the AAA rate!
Saved $256 over room-only rate!

And I paid in full so I get all my Disney points for my Thanksgiving trip!

Oh I'm so glad someone else got to use the code - after I started this thread I started to panic, thinking "what have I started" when I didn't have anything to go on, other than the email from the TA saying she saved $100 for us with a "new code". Pixie dust for all! I'm ASSUMING this is the above mentioned code, ZBN or ZBD or something like that. Everyone try it please - even just for a few bucks - that's more souvenirs in your pocket!

Someone else had asked for specifics = we have AKL Savannah View from 12/5-11, 6 nts, DDP and 1-day park tickets (we have free 5 day park hoppers from Marriott & Hilton Rewards points yahoo!) & here are the various rates we had gotten:

Email code PIN rate - around $2650 - can't remember the exact amout but it was the highest
AAA rate - $2596
Disney Rewards VISA MYW package - $2518
NEW package code applied today - $2416

So all discount packages were similar in price - I'm just so happy to be getting the cheapest one applied! My YOAMD has started! :yay:

Does anyone know if we called Disney could we get something other than a value for the same % off ????

Thanks

It's wierd that the same time period keeps getting discounts. I wish they would look to 2007. Do you think room ressie's are down that bad?

I tried the website, but it kept saying nothing available for my family of 5.

So I called and told the CM I wanted to see if the new code could be applied to my existing ressie. She gave me the price then put me on hold for quite a while, then gave me my new ressie number!

Same code, and it depends on availability. If you have set dates, I'd call Disney with the code and speak to a CM to see if anything is available for your dates.

The website showed nothing available for my dates, but I was able to use the code with my existing Poly ressie.

 WL is sold out the first week in Dec - all these discounts and codes have done nothing for me. I'm still paying rack rate but I keep trying! All DVC properties are also booked that week. (per my DVC friend who checked for me and thelack of being able to pay outright for them)

But yes - weird the same period is getting discounted.

Count me in too as this is weird - I think they just aren't booking the rooms that they have seen in the past this "fall & pre-holiday" season. No real other reason than that. Enough people haven't bitten at the previous package deals so they keep offering more until they have an acceptable amount of rooms booked.

Do find it very interesting that other travel industry areas are reporting an increase in price for hotels in November & December of 12-20% and Disney keeps discounting theirs and still not coming up with the numbers - weird.

I don't think the new code is available the 1st week in December...I think those dates are excluded. (look at the website - I can't recall, but I think 12/2-12/8 are excluded)....what happens at WDW the first week in December??

My TA did say that the 1st few days of December were excluded BUT she tried to get the code applied for me anyway & they took it for 12/5-11 at AKL. She didn't understand it either but took it & ran! She said the new promo code is just an extension of the previous MYW pacakge discounts, to start the YOAMD celebration. But that is just her take on it, I'm not sure she actually heard that from a CM. Keep trying everyone!

Hi everyone! I'm new to posting here, but have been reading all of the good information! THANKS!! :thumbsup2 If anyone can help me, that would be amazing!!! I saw the new posted code for a nov.-dec. stay. My DFi and I are staying at the POP from 12/16-12/23, and I already booked with a previously offered code that expired 9/30. Does anyone know if I could apply the newest code to my current reservation?? :confused3 Anymore money off would be GREAT for this poor college student! :woohoo:

TaraPA
10-03-2006, 01:49 PM
YES NittanyLionGirl - I did the same thing - had my stay 12/5-11 reserved with the old MYW package that expired 9/30 - this new promo code (scroll back to post 2 or 3 for the actual code - I forget but think it was ZBD or something like that) - is an extension of that promo - and some people seem to be getting a cheaper rate. Call call call! It seems from here that more are being denied the new code than are receiving an additional discount, but it never hurts to try. Go Penn State!

I know it says Value Resorts online but I had it applied to AKL Savannah View - so I'm not sure why the Disney website is saying that!

All DVC properties are also booked that week. (per my DVC friend who checked for me and thelack of being able to pay outright for them)

the first two weeks of December are one of the busiest times of year for DVC. these weeks have a low 'points' schedule.

Pop Warner is also that week, the Christmas parade is taped the first weekend, etc.

THey are about to loose me. I am not willing to pay disney prices so if they dont come out with some sort of deal soon for Jan then we will skip disney and do universal.

I just called the CRO, and according to them, the price that I paid with the pre-existing MYW code is the exact same price as it would be now with the newest code. :sad2: Does anyone know how much a moderate resort rate would be with the newest code? I'm tempted to try and upgrade my current reservation!

The new code being the same prices as the old code is correct.

When the VISA code came out and then the general package code came, the CM could quote me a package price, but they could never add it to my existing ressie...there were never any rooms at the Poly available for the code.

Last night I tried again and VOILA....I got to use the code!

AS for the price of the mods...try either calling back or the website...although I must say I don't have much luck with the website.

That's great that you got to use the code! Did you already have a pre-existing code as well, and they allowed you to apply the new code to that rate? (sorry, i'm slow sometimes!) When I asked him about it, he didn't even try plugging things into the computer, he just told me it was the same price. I may try calling back for the mod resort, and like you...i NEVER have luck with the websites....they always seem to be out-of-order when i use them!

I had a code - ZBY or something like that - whatever the Disney VSA Magic Your Way package code was for booking thru 9/30. At that time that was cheaper than AAA or the email pin code I had received. Apparaently this "new" code is just new letters to the same old ZBY code - for whatever reason they just extended the booking date beyond 9/30 - BUT for some odd reason some (few) of us are getting even better deals - not sure why but I'm not complaining - I saved $102! I just wish it was working out better for others. I'd definitely call back - it seems like the CMs at CRO are just as confused over the new code as we are. If they won't even type the code in to check I would call back for sure & get someone else that will. I had the old code on a ressie for 11/11-17 that may be back in the system now if anyone is looking for AKL Savannah for those dates - my TA forgot to cancel those dates out when I booked the Dec. dates - I just got the invoice for those dates yesterday & called to cancel it today.

Nittanyliongirl02 - call call call & call again! I swear I've called 5 times in one day & been told many different things!

I originally had a AAA ressie, THEN when I couldn't use the VISA code I took the AP rate (even though I didn't HAVE an AP), THEN switched it to a room-only code, THEN FINALLY last night I was able to book the code.

So each time I changed the codes I gave up the previous one and took the new one. Sometimes it is all about patience. I knew what the code price was when the VISA deal came out. It has been KILLING ME to know I could be paying less that what I was paying. Luckily, I was able to get the code for my trip. Never had toswitch resorts or change my dates.

I am one happy camper!

NittanyLionGirl02 - I think I've confused you (I think I confuse MYSELF most of the time!) Let me PM you & see if I can clear up the confusion - BUT from what I see we are in the same boat - had the MYW pkg ressie - then the new code came out & for some reason I got to save $102, so you should be able to as well, as long as the pkg is available for your dates. However most folks on here aren't having any luck. PM coming your way!

I have a hold on the dates that I want to stay at Port Orleans French Quarter directly with Disney for the same exact amount that I currently paid for the same time frame at Coronado Springs. The CS is booked through my local AAA office and I have until 10/10 to make any changes without being charged.

Called AAA Travel and actually got someone on the phone (my local office closes at 5pm EST), so I'm not sure where I called. She was very nice and said that she was having problems pulling up the website that they use with Disney, so she's going to call them directly to try and make the change and will call me back once it's done.

I'm sure that CSR is lovely, but really have my heart set on the French Quarter.

What is a special room cleaning request?

A special cleaning is done when you have allergies or asthma. They use special, less harsh cleaning products (like Simply Green) to clean the bathrooms and replace the bedding with new sheets, blankets & pillows (no feathers). If you booked your room/package directly through Disney, then you can call and ask them to make this request on your reservation or they will refer you to another department that can do this. If you booked through a travel agent (like AAA), then the TA needs to call to make this request. They will ask you what medical issues you have to justify this type of cleaning. I've got environmental allergies that tend to act up bad in hotels, if they have feathered beds or pillows or use some harsh chemicals. My TA explained this to Disney and the "special cleaning" is marked on my reservation. Also, this guarentees a non-smoking room (which also sets off my allergies).

You can only use one code or discount at a time, you can not piggy back them. So if for ex with code A of 25% off your total was $1200 and then code B came out for 40% off and you called to price it, they would price code B off of the rack rate price and get say $1000 not discounting the already booked at code A price getting you $720.

Thought I would bring this to everyone's attention over the code "debate".
My TA upgraded our package from 11/25-12/2 (8 nights) at AKL Savannah view w/ 8 day park pass and 7 day dining plan from the following numbers. Package includes 2 Adults and an 11 yr. old (considered adult).

Originally $ 4090.76
Code ZDN was then used to supercede Disney Visa Code $ 3718.39
Then said she Disney applied a 2nd code ZCW to drop to $ 3600.37

Hope this helps out--discounts dropped average price per night to $236 with Savannah view

PS. Always make sure you make seperate ressies if your vacation starts in regular season and ends in value--that's what we had to do. Saves big $$$.

Yesterday - when I called I asked if there were any specials or codes that could be applied for my sister if she booked her reservation - he said ZDF (zebra dog frank). That's a new code I hadn't heard about. Don't know what it would do but her reservation dropped from 1299 to 1042 - All Stars - 11/24(28) with 4 day base tickets - 2 adults 1 junior 1 child.

I asked for code zdn when I booked my package.
I called back w/ zcn and was told that it had already been applied.
That's why my packahe was $136 less that booking it on the website (because they use the zdn code).
